1 DVD 5 disk corruption
After many attempts with the laptop HP Recovery Manager (which only allows a sequence/run), I managed to complete a series of 5 DVDs of recovery disks. However, # 1 (of 5, being a DVD-R) DVD is partially illegible and thus corrupted.
Other (4-5 on 5) were burned on DVD + 5, which proved much more reliable first time.
How do I re - energize a repetition of Recovery Manager? HP should give me permission to do... for some reason any?
OS = Windows 8.1, incidentally.
Hey EddyAB,
No worries over information I sooner I can isolate what is happening and why. Unfortunately, Microsoft allows only 1 set of discs to do. You don't have the chance to create a repair disk. You have the option to purchase these HP discs. You also have the possibility to download from the sites of third parties for this search on Google.
You could look at this link to create a USB stick recovery.
Hope this information is useful.
Thank you.

Burn a DVD with "disk utility".
Before El Capitan (10.11.2), I was able to burn a DVD using "disk utility". Here are the instructions that I used. Disk utility has now a new version Version 15.0 (1511.3) and the statement no longer work. Can anyone update these instructions?
Copy DVD
Follow these instructions to make a copy of your DVD unprotected:
Insert your DVD into your Mac. Most Macs will automatically launch the DVD player. Once he starts, he gave up. You should see your DVD drive mounted on your desktop.
Open disk utility (Applications > utilities). Select the DVD drive in the list on the left. You will notice that there are two DVD icons - select the one slightly indented (this is the DVD itself, while the first is the drive).
Click on "New Image" in the main window of disk utility.
Choose a name and a destination in the window "Save as...". ». Don't forget that your destination should have enough space to copy the whole DVD, which can be more than four concerts.
In the window "Save as...". ', to ensure that the selection 'Format of Image' is set to ' CD/DVD Master' and the selection of "Encryption" is set to 'none '. Click Save.
After you have copied the DVD in your destination drive, return to disk utility. Your new disk Image will appear in the list on the left side of the disk utility window. The original disc of DVD on your Mac.
Insert a DVD disc that is accessible by writing in your Mac. Select your disk Image created in the list on the left side of the disk utility window. Click on "Burn" in the main window of disk utility. Choose your burn speed and if you want to check the data burned.
You will receive confirmation once you the DVD are engraved with success and you are all set with a new copy of your DVD drive. Just save your new disk Image and you can make a copy whenever you may need.
That is right. Apple has removed this feature FROM.
You can do it from the Finder

I recently used a dvd + rw disk to back up my photos. Now when I put a dvd in my pc, why it will not display on the screen that's all there is, or how to give me access to it?
Depends on what you used for the backup.
If you used the windows backup or another backup software will contain the entire disk will be a backup file, and view/use this file, you use the same software that allows you to save.

I'm recovering Pavilion dm4-3170se of my daughter. My daughter did not a recovery disk and has no recent backup of its set of data files.
Problems (and what I've done so far) are quite parallels to what the user indicated in this post incredibly detailed:
Difference is in start-up Mode (command line or not) safe, Windows startup fails on a dll, specifically CryptUI.DLL.
Although incredibly detailed post user is not getting into the Windows startup, I have mod... for about 30 dll before it chokes on the corrupt. I tried a number of other things to get passed without result.
Game drive recovery of origin of my daughter bought the farm when his house burned down. So I ordered and received a replacement of HP. I am reluctant to use before retrieving his data files because it may lose 40% of its professional activity.
The set of recovery disks delivered includes an "Application and Driver Recovery DVD". Account of > 20 years Wintel machine tradition, I presume it is bootable. Surprisingly, user detailed Post got hers to start from the DVD drive. But the configuration of the BIOS to get the DVD drive as the first choice of startup is not to begin after two trials.
Before I pour more time into that, I want to the Collective Wisdom here.
Q1: Is this disc HP, numbered 691822-B22, meant to be bootable?
Q2A: If it is, imagine you I can use the command line interface to copy the DLL identified-as-bad to the HD?
Q2B: If she isn't, why the, uh, gollygoshdarn isn't? Must be a reasonable thing...
Thanks for all the ideas based on experience.
Hello:
No matter what DVD driver and HP application I have ever used is not bootable.
It should autorun from the windows desktop once windows has been reinstalled.
This is the only question that I can answer those you requested.
Suggestion...
Make your own installation of W7 ISO from the link below.
Use to install W7 and do not delete all partitions or format the drive.
Windows install and create a folder Windows.old to the current operating system.
Then, you can copy all the files you need from the Windows.old folder after installing W7.
Once you are sure that you have got what you need, use the recovery disk set to restore the hard drive on his out of the box state.
Link to files ISO of W7 is below. Use the W7 x 64 home premium from the SP1 media list file refresh.
Then use this tool to transfer the iso file on a flash USB DVD or 4 GB drive. The tool also performs the file iso bootable.

Re: Satellite M70-339 DVD movie disks but not recognize Virgin DVD or CD?
Hello
My Toshiba Satellite M70-339 recognizes the DVD movie but not blank blank DVD or CD discs.
It happened some time ago and I'm ever round to sorting. INE day that only, it has stopped working.I have since reformatted all the computer several times, but it has never begun work again.
I can watch a movie, a DVD OK, but when I try to burn anything to a DVD or CD, it don't think that there is a disc in the machine to engrave on Virgin.I tried the software built into Windows XP, burning CD and it does not work, nor does any third-party CD or DVD burning software.
Just to reiterate, I want to be able to burn the files to CD/DVD again.
Can someone advise?

Magneto-optique disk corrupted
Dear Sir or Madam:
I have a Fujitsu magneto-optique drive and several disks. While one of these disks was in the computer, I forgot to remove it before turning off the computer. So far the drive had worked well. Immediately, I turned the computer back and tried to remove this disc but I couldn't not except through the mechanical elimination of emergency, that is to insert a needle into a small hole on the hard drive. Since then, the player is unable to recognize or read this disc and the disc cannot be removed by the ejection of software or the eject button. It can only be removed by the mechanical elimination of emergency. Another drive magneto-optique, I tried worked fine. The information on the first disk must have been corrupted and unreadable. Is it possible to fix or delete corrupt data and the restore to the normal operating state disc?

Cannot back up the DVD - RW disk
Hello!
Can you help me?-Windows Vista does not allow me to back up my files on a DVD - RW disc
It is an intact and not a damaged disc. Here's what happens: Windows displays files are analyzed and prepared for backup; then
about an hour later, a dialog box appears saying: insert a blank disc and write the
What follows (a name chosen by Windows file) on the disk.I insert my drive (formatted) empty and press OK, but the dialog box does not accept that only
shuddered when I press tab OK does not disappear, then causes the backup files bar
to switch from green to red and finally tells me that my backup has failed... This has happened
the last 10 times I tried to backup on a DVD - RW disc!In addition, other times, when I inserted a floppy blank and formatted, the dialog box told me
that the drive is a former backup drive, even though I have never managed to do any type of backup on it!I can do this behavior disturbed?
Thank you for your attention.
E-mail address is removed from the privacy *.Hello, Savan, Vinod n., al. to Microsoft Support-
Thank you very much for linking me to many DVD backup problems
questions and your answers. In fact, I confess that I discovered that it seems to be my fault in
Figure 2 or 3 dialog boxes Windows on the DVD inserts:
whenever a box pops up and forced me to put in a "blank" disc, I assumed that this meant that the disc I had already inserted was not recognized
as white - of course it was not; Windows has already finished writing the original disk and asked me to put in a new blank disc. Finally I happened to do exactly as requested, and it worked!
Problem is that I was on my 6th DVD - RW blank, which means that Windows
necessary for formatting each time before to save files to it.
It took so
much time and so many DVD - RW that I dropped finally on the process.... I used to backup to an external hard drive (LaCie), but it was stopped
operation and I had no confidence to hang up another external drive beause they are quite expensive.Maybe I should get an online software to perform backups.
Don't you think it's a decent idea?Once again thank you very much for your thoughtful link and honest advice,.
and again I am really sorry that I misunderstood the meaning of the dialog box.
Although part of the reason why it has confused me was that he kept showing
I should write 1 discs on the label of each new disc that I inserted.
As a thank you.

Disk utility tells me my disc is damaged and said he needs repair, but did not offer to fix it. How can I do this? MacBook pro 2010 with the latest operating system.
The easiest is to start in safe mode, (hold the SHIFT key as you restart) who will spend about five minutes on the repairs that the first thing is the case, then request your user name and password, even you auto-login.
If it seems to work OK in Mode almost without fail, you can usually restart regular mode (it takes a little more time only), and then be fine.

DVD player - info corrupt registry
I have a Compaq under Vista Home Premium desktop computer, with an ATAPI DVD A DH16A1L drive, which has suddenly stopped working. Shows Device Manager the little yellow triangle with an exclamation point against this element and the specified error reads: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19). I tried unistalling the driver and restarting to re - install, but it does not work. I also run Microsoft automated troubleshooting and FIX IT but still no solution and I am now at a loss what to do - any ideas?
Hello
Please start from the top and do all this in order, even if you've done it before as is often
the set of operations that solves the problem. Please do not skip anything.19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.
Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack.Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
them before.Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

Sometimes new software can cause problems so if you added a new software related CDDVD please uninstall
It and restart. Also check with Dell DVD have sometimes drivers and it is possible that dould effect the CD even if it is
unlikely.Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser. -SpiritX - MS MVP
