  • Driver Matshita DVD Ram UJ8B0AW

My machine: ASUS A43S i5 (bought in August 2012)
Original OS: Windows 7 (now upgraded to Windows 8)
    Problem:
    (1) after upgrading my DVD does not work
    (2) is unable to read any kind of CD/DVD software or audio videos
    (3) cannot even see the device in Windows Explorer
    (4) if I insert a disc in the DVD it drive will only spin for a few seconds and stop
    (5) ran all the tests available diagnostic built inside Windows 8 as reinstall, hardware test, trouble shoot, fix auto, bah bah bah. Tried every thing as available as possible AND MY PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED. I tried everything already!

He said only "Matshita DVD Ram UJ8B0AW has a driver problem" and that it has NOT been FIXED.

I downloaded the latest driver from ASUS and Matshita and reinstalled manually and it is still DO NOT SET

Even though I can start from ground zero and reinstall using F12 initially upwards and insert a window 7 or 8 disk, I fear my DVD will not move and cannot reinstall Windows no matter what.

    What can I do?

Try to remove the GEARAspiWDM entry.

To remove the GEARAspiWDM entry double-click UpperFilters and, under value data, delete GEARAspiWDM > OK

Create a system restore point beforehand and restart the computer after.

However, if you have an application that uses the GEARAspiWDM, like iTunes, just install the latest version of hardware drivers (4.020.5) and that no changes to the registry:

Updated speed drivers should also correct the mistake.

Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Also check with your system manufacturer to see if there are any updated drivers for your DVD. Or even if it
are you can reinstall the 'old'. Many use Windows default drivers however some special aura
ones. Also check the website of the manufacturer of the car.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Vista does not open a cd/dvd using MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA Device

my laptop has a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA Device. but it does not open a cd/dvd. Why?

    Hello

1 recently, you did changes to the computer?

Method 1. Uninstall and reinstall the cd - dvd drive.

If the drive is not listed, remove and reinstall the existing drivers.
To do this, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
    b. click System and Maintenance, click System and then click on Device Manager.
Note that if control panel is in Classic view, double-click System and then click on Device Manager.
    c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    d. in Device Manager, expand CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, right click on the device CD and DVD and then click on uninstall.
    e. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK and restart the computer.
After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically.

Method 2. The firmware was updated.
I would also recommend updating the firmware of the CD - DVD drive.
You may need to contact the manufacturer for it.

    I hope this helps.

  • This device cannot start. (Code 10). Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device not found.

The operating system does not detect the Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device on my Toshiba Satellite. I tried Microsoft Auto difficulty and it didn't fix it. The CD player worked last week when I installed ITunes software. Now, the driver cannot be detected. Known corrections or suggestions?

You must uninstall, then reboot and let the program installation is the device when it restarts. If the correct drivers are found, it will install. In case of failure, it's probably because Search Setup default is files of the user and not the C:\windows\inf or directories c:\windows\system32\drivers\, which you can specify by choosing to install from a list or specific location, and then by typing or by going to the it. If this fails, check the bios settings.  But most likely your original driver was silently replaced, by a program system file or a third-party application. If need be, you can try a system restore to return the parameters of your system to a point in time where everything worked. I would try one more point to restore and not a newer version, preferably a restore point launched machine, not one caused by installing or removing a program or a driver. • Matshita DVD RAM UJ850s ATA optical drive will not read burned media, running Vista

    * original title - CD/DVD unit read not "burned" cd *.

Hi, there are about 6 weeks, I had to do a recovery because a virus in my PC, the problem is that now the optical unit reads no CD, it reads 'original' CD, DVD (original and burned) but not burned CD specially those who have programs on them, could be a driver problem, but so far I have not been able to solve the problem , and I m not sure the original driver are in Sony's site, or any other Web site.

PS the thing Burns CD and they can be read after that that they were "closed".

I have a VAIO VGN-N330FH, running Vista Home Basic 32 bit (Spanish), the model is a Matshita DVD RAM UJ850s ATA Device.

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
