10 caused problems Windows

Today, I installed Windows 10, after that it load I was locked out of my PC.  He told me that I needed a password that I didn't.

So using my laptop I searched for help, I decided to get my PC to Windows 7 home version.

Now Microsoft office will not install because it says I need a product key.  I entered the product key that is located on the Microsoft label on the computer (the PC was purchased with Office already installed), but now he tells me that the product key is not valid.

Please help, I need this PC to do the job as he did until I installed Windows 10 today.

Hello

It is not the product key for Office.

The product key on the COA sticker is for the Windows 7 operating system.

The Office product key is a separate product to that key.

If came preinstalled Office, either it was an assay Office edition, or contact the manufacturer of your computer is they never provided key disk for Office.

  • Window update causing problems of printer driver

Hi, I have a laptop running XP and router wireless computer (WAG54G) and a set of HP6380 in one. About 2 nights ago an update to Windows Installer by himself and rebooted the laptop (even though I have some turned off automatic updates what they seem to be screwing with anything these updates produce still grr)...

I went to try and print and to found the 6380 was absent from the list of available printers... The problem is not with the wireless network (as it is trendy and functional). I don't know what it does the update of windows... but when I tried to reinstall the drivers for this printer from the disc, he acknowledged that they were already installed... So I uninstalled them instead (and it is taken up only parts of the driver remained and he removed these pieces).

Then I tried to do a fresh driver... install that took a long time because it got stuck at the end... Finally, he came up with an error and so I tried to introduce him, HP - and received click on a desktop icon... (Icon HP - XP Installation). I tried it but it tells me to 1) Reinstall driver (done twice -) solve printing problems wireless (not a problem at this point given that I have no printer driver and I can use the network wireless for other things very well) well tried anyway... or 2

Anyone has any suggestions please > in the past when Windows updates have caused problems, I used the system restore to roll back, but this is only a temporary solution - as Windows insists on the updates I want!

    Thank you very much!

If you have the original HP software CD, look in the folder of the ccc/utils for a L3_unintsall (or similar).  Run for an uninstall very full.

    Reset.

Now, download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & Driver" link at the top of this page.  DO NOT reinstall from the CD (a good rule is in general not the CDs software, but to go to the website of the manufacturer for the latest and best).

  • Pavilion 500 215 el: audio problem Windows 10 anniversary update

I have an audio problem, then before moving to Windows 10 or the update of the anniversary of the audio working properly after the update I noticed immediately that the sound is distorted or "crunches".
I haven't identified the problem because it's random, very often and it's very annoying, my sound system is its IDT DTS + I tried to reinstall the drivers with the latest version but some of the problem persists...
Only, I noticed that the problem is more 'feel' when the bass setting is higher or when I change the audio setting to my taste.
I ask you to help also became very boring because without my custom settings is really horrible!
    Thank you.
Sorry for the English, but this isn't my mother tongue, I used google translator.

    Hi there @Alexcpp,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that, after the update of Windows 10 anniversary, you had some sound problems.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Check the support page for your model of HP Pavilion 500-215el desktop PC, there don't seem to be updated drivers, and you have already tried to reinstall existing ones.

You can always try to use the HP Support Assistant, HP PCs - using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7) to see if there is a driver available that is not displayed on the support page. It is unlikely, but there is always a chance that the page has not yet updated.

Another possibility is to make some adjustments on your system, just in case there is another driver or software that interferes with the audio, which could cause problems of lag. You can try the search, even if these: computers HP - computer is slow (10 Windows), HP - slow Internet troubleshooting (10, 8 Windows) computers.  They are never a waste of time because often there is something that could help the overall performance of the system.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • KB975496 and causing problems KB980408.

These two updates that I just installed caused problems with my C drive.  The disk check said he cannot work while the disk is used and how have it run at startup says it cannot do the job and use the system restore.  System Restore says that it cannot function without a check disk first.  What should I do?

Depending on the operating system you have, and if your hardware vendor as long as you media appropriate, you can make a drive that started at the Windows install DVD while repair.

In Vista (?) and Windows 7 boot from the installation DVD allows you to use repair tools, which is a command line.  The type of command line

    CHKDSK C: /F

and a repair disc should be performed.

Caution:-the last time I tried this it turns out that my hard drive was not physically, and for this reason, the disk check has failed, completely destroy the file system and cause a complete data loss.  REAR FIRST.

  • Network adapters: Microsoft Windows Mobile remote adapter causes the Windows 7 upgrade to fail.

Network adapters: Microsoft Windows Mobile remote adapter causes the Windows 7 upgrade to fail.

I did everything to prepare for the upgrade. The Upgrade Advisor says it all right. But I get the message that this network adapter is a problem. It does not appear in device menager even under hidden objects, so I can't uninstall or update.

It is obviously a problem for more than two years. Why is there not a difficulty now, or at least a well validated response that meets this situation rather than simply repeat the statement to execute the Advisor (done) or update the driver (which is impossible because the card network can not be found)?

    Hello

    You can try these:

    Step 1:

    a. click the Start button.

    (b) in the search box type devmgmt.msc and then press ENTER.

    c. find under the "Mobile Devices" "Microsoft USB Sync" node. If this is not present, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, right click "Microsoft USB Sync" and choose "Uninstall".

When you connect your USB phone, it should appear in the device under Mobile Device Manager. Education invites you to look out there and if you find Microsoft USB Sync, uninstall it. If she is not there, go to the next step.

    Step 2:

Disconnect, and then reconnect your device. Your device driver will be re - install and launch Windows Mobile Device Center.

  • Rename a hard disk will cause problems?

When I got my new custom Windows 7 PC built last year, the technician just copied over my old XP, which was a Compaq machine. I don't know if he named the "Compaq" c: or if Windows automatically named that. What I want to do is to rename the drive to something more relevant, since this is a Compaq computer.

If I rename the drive, it causes problems with the applications already installed on it?

    Thanks for your help!

    Cyndi

Name change is OK. The drive letter (C:\ etc.) is the part you do not want to change (cannot change if Windows is installed on it), if the partition has installed software.
If a partition has only the files that are not related (target or path) to any software, you can change the drive letter as well.

  • No roaming profile tile problem windows 8 no clear pattern of how and why.

Hi I have a fairly extensive network of windows pc 8

I noticed a strange problem which does not seem to follow any particular model.
When a new roaming user connects to a windows pc, 8 who was not already a profile they receive the message 'Hi' and the implementation of the etc pages once they see the new tiles page which is fine.
However sometimes a new user will register in the "Hi" is displayed and set up takes a lot of time and when it finishes the new user has only 2 tiles... Internet explore and tile office!  If the user logs on to another computer, they may or may not have the tiles appear... This suggests that it is a local problem in the users on the c: folder.
As I said this happens randomly with new users and this is quite annoying because it doesn't seem to be any idea why it does.
    Is this a bug?

I found a way to fix it.

1 log in as a user to discover that no tiles are present
    2. close the session
    3 log in as administrator
    4 open System
    5. open user profiles
    6 remove the user profile
    7. close the session
8 open troubled as a user session
    9. the tiles are back!

    10. close the session

    11. open a session as administrator of PC

    12. open CMD as administrator

    10. run sfc/scannow from the command prompt and set the PC settings store tiles.

The problem was when I used a 3rd third party tool called delprof2... I guess that the profiles were not removed correctly. Infact delprof2 corrupts the tiles from the local profile. This causes problems with the tiles does not not like laptop settings and store.

You may ask why use delprof2? Well well the reason why I used delprof2 is that there are in the region of 100 profiles to delete and just, that takes too much time on each PC using the system / profile section... I don't know any alternative.

So for correct (after execution of delprof2), it appears that you must first connect and see missing tiles then disconnect you and go as an administrator and delete the profile via the option of system profiles and then open a session as a troubled user...

I really want to do underground work for us, because I can see the benefits of a beautiful beautiful screen with all work related icons at a push of a button, but the amount of problems, I hit when an area is absolutely crazy... makes me want to go back to the Start button...  At least with the Start button, you can easily add shortcuts... Unlike the subway tiles it is almost impossible to customize metro layouts over a wide area without tools such as oblytile...
My conclusion is that it seems metro tiles are related to the local profile on the c: drive of each individual computer which is a little annoying when you have to hundreds of computers. It would be nice if metro settings have been configured on users roaming profile on the server.

I'm getting the impression that Windows 8 was never designed for a corporate network * DUHH * and the metro is simply to home computers / tablets / mobile phone (consumers).

    Which is a shame.

But I'm not giving up on hope...!

  • Downing, one of my three guests will cause problems in vCenter?

I need to update the firmware of the controller on my three hosts. The production server only virtual machine that we currently have a very low maintenance window. So I stopped all the virtual machines on the same host I can then shut it to the bottom/update the firmware on this host without causing problems with the rest of the vCenter environment? If I'm able to do, I have another question. Once guests are updates that are not hosting the production server I could move the production server VM to one of the servers updated until the host is updated and then bring him back?

One of the reasons for getting a cluster is to avoid downtime in the event of a failure of the host, and/or maintenance. As long as the remaining guests have enough resources (CPU, memory) to run more virtual machines, there will be no problems.
