10 Windows Bootcamp Partition encryption

Hey all!

First of all, thanks for any help that anyone can provide!

I've been digging around online for any help regarding encrypt the partition 10 Windows on a MacBook Pro.

From what I've read online, it seems as if the OSX partition is encrypted with FileVault. the bootcamp partition will break (failed to connect to Windows plus). If the BootCamp partition is encrypted by BitLocker; the OSX partition will break (unable to connect to the OSX partition).

If the statements above are met, the more desirable (and apparently the only viable solution for my situation) is to recreate the BootCamp partition to be primary (take up more HARD disk space, leave 5 to 10 GB for OS x), install Windows 10, encrypt the drive with BitLocker and never connect to OS x again.

This line of thinking is right? It's a bit difficult to find information about this specific set of scenarios.

To help, here are my requirements "in stone":

  • I need Windows 10, cannot work without it
  • I would like to OSX, but can do without them.
  • I can't change the laptop or hardware, the MBP is my only option
  • I need to encrypt my daily driver must be

Bump! Anyone able to offer some insight?

  • Problem Windows/Bootcamp Partition with unsupported Mac (iMac 21.5 "mid-2011)

I tried many door routes stealth to install Windows 10 on my iMac (21.5 inch, mid-2011; 1 TB SATA disk), which seems to be not taken in charge by Apple. Whenever I try to use Bootcamp to try to establish a partition, in the end it cuts and force restarts my computer.

I decided to make my own (150 GB, FAT MS-DOS) partition and a bootable USB stick with all the files .iso on it. The bootable USB key works very well and can get into Boot EFI without problem. The score, according to the EFI boot and Windows Installer, "has a table of MBR partition...". [and] Windows can only be installed on GPT disks. »

I tried to format the partition to NTFS by using the command-line Windows, such as proposed in the link below, but after downloading the Tuxera NTFS file to move the .iso to the Windows partition image file (I guess to make its own bootable drive) the drive itself is not started.

In fact, the Windows partition came not in the start screen (hosting option after reboot OR allowing the computer initiate by itself).

After trying to format this partition using the Windows command line, Windows begins to remove it and provides the same error message. After some research, I found that the partitions are hybrid and need for special maintenance. I tried to use gpart, but when trying to convert ONLY TPG, took place the message in a terminal:

Caveat! Main partition table overlaps the first partition of 32 blocks!

You need to remove this partition or resize in another utility.

Caveat! Secondary partition table overlaps the last partition of

    33 blocks!

You need to remove this partition or resize in another utility.

I activated the command 'csrutil disable' in Recovery Mode in order to bypass the Protection of the integrity of the system, I found that some users of El Capitan were problems with this.

I was not able to proceed to the question since this last error and I'm not sure how to proceed, especially because I don't want to lose my data on my Mac hard drive. If anyone knows any information on how I should proceed, please let me know!

    1. you use Boot EFI on a preUEFI computer.

    2. to help TO do a FAT32 partition will also create a hybrid MBR. Please after the release of

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

    3. you need not of Tuxera, because Windows install has already the ability to convert FAT to NTFS.

    4. your built-in optical drive works? If so, your W10 ISO burn to a physical DVD and try to follow the standard installation of the BCA.

  • Cannot start Windows 10 (Partition exists in the startup disk)

Right, I accept all first I did something stupid - I resized a partition. I resized my Mac OSX Partition but not changed the Windows/BOOTCAMP Partition. My MBP has no DVD/CDROM drive. OK with that of the road, I have browsed these forums for centuries and can not find how to re - add the partition to the boot sequence. All files etc are in the score, and it is an option in 'Start Up' disc. It is not just show when booting with the down option. Orders/Info added on similar topics:

    Other points

    • If I try to use 'Start Up' drive to restart Windows, it does not work, I just get a black screen.
    • Due to the configuration that I can't really afford to reinstall everything on a new partition I would everything white / software installed, install Windows 7, upgrade to 10, reinstall various licenses etc, it would take me 2 days and my schedule does not allow for this.
    • I went through many discussions of the forum here: my background is software/web, no hardware, so the command line is a bit strange for me, but I can follow the instructions I have not successfully updated my "products" but I'm still on a MBP of the retina, the current captain.

  • Impossible to install 10 Windows on Bootcamp partition

    #1

Hello! I just tried to install Windows 10 on my Macbook with a 32 GB USB using Bootcamp. Everything was fine until I came to the part where I have to choose the partition where I want to install my Windows 10 and of course I chose the Bootcamp partition, but in fact I couldn't click on 'next' (I was so stupid and don't format it).
So I just format the Bootcamp partition and when I tried to click 'next' he just told me 'we could not create a new partition or locate an existing one. I went through google and searched all regarding this problem and there are a lot of guys having almost the same or exactly the same 'error' when trying to install 10 Windows on the Bootcamp partition, but nothing has really helped me. I deleted everything except my USB key and someone told me that I should only have 4 partitions or less.
He shows me the 4 partition but there are two partitions (3) and two partition (1).
    Is this a problem?
Here is a picture of my diskutil list: https://i.gyazo.com/f554fb8aac609c2420f55f9696fa06a6.pnggiven that English is not my native language, I'm sorry for my bad spelling.
I hope someone can help me install Windows 10 with Bootcamp! Thank you very much!

You have a Fusion drive, which is usually not sold on a MacbookPro? You can check model/year your Mac? Please, do not post the serial number of your Mac.

If you replaced the optical drive to create your own Fusion player, you can run the questions, depending on the year/model of your Mac.

  • Bootcamp partition Windows will not start since WinUpdate

I'm working on a MacMini (mid 2011) on which a bootcamp partition has been installed. I had to work on windows update etc...

So I did update from our wsus server, and then restart Windows, windows no longer starts. There was a line of white underscore flashing on a black screen.

I tried to see if the Mac partition (10.7) was able to start. It has been altered too, but I was able to reinstall it.

    __

on windows, I followed these instructions: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4936761?tstart=0

To do this, I created a USB bootable key WIN10 (regardless of the Version of the OS in this case), I started on it to access the repair menu. Here, I opened the CMD and had results of the thesis:

    x:\sources>cd c:\

    x:\sources>Bootrec.exe /Fixmbr

    Operation succeed

    x:\sources>Bootrec.exe /FixBoot

    x:\sources>Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

Number of windows installation identified : 1 Add the installation to boot list ? : O

    Asked System Device not found.

I assumed it was due to drivers for windows compatibility. (something like record of $ $WinPEDriver), but no idea how to put them on my bootcamp partition, previously never worked with bootcamp.

I should also mention, I tried a classic Windows repair, he told me that my windows partition has been locked. I assumed it was a problem of version of bootcamp. I've updated everything on my mac partition, but he found no update for bootcamp. Right now I'm preparing a bootable usb key with both 'iso' and 'windows compatibility modules' activated with bootcamp assistant.

I don't know when it happens, but now, when I try to boot on my bootcamp partition, there are only blackscreen (not slider more). But also, my screen flashes as if he finally gets the signal just before the black screen.

    I need your help for:

-Fixed problem starting Windows partition, OR...

-Give me a way to get the activation key for the license of the installed windows (without starting it (if it exists)), so I can reinstall it correctly.

  • Bootcamp partition extended, now cannot start Windows

Hi all, hope you can help. Running Windows 7 on Bootcamp partition. OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 on the other side.

Needed to make Windows larger partition to install away from port, although comments, not sure that all this pain is worth it. That's what's happened so far:

    1. I enlarged the Bootcamp using disk utility partition

2 restart the computer and now the Alt key, I could not see the usual option to start the Windows partition.

3 then I read that I had to go to the preferences system and make my boot drive Bootcamp, I did.

4 but on reboot, I get the error message "no boot device - insert the diskette and press any".

    5. isn't a step 5. The hope that you could help me find one.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom.

How to enlarge a Boot Camp partition is either:

    a. assistant Boot Camp use to remove Windows and refer the reader to a single partition. Then reinstall Windows using Boot Camp Assistant by specifying the size of Boot Camp, that you need for now.

    b. use CampTune, a third-party application, to resize one already set up to the Boot Camp partition.

  • Bootcamp partition is not as boot drive, after running bootcamp to install Windows 10 on MacbookPro 15 "El Capitan running

    Hello

I'm trying to install 10 Windows on my Macbook Pro. I followed this guide, but I am stuck between steps 3 and 4. In disk utility, I see that the bootcamp partition is created, but it does not appear as boot drive. I also tried to start my mac while pressing the option key, but still it will not show.

See below for a screenshot that shows the current state of my machine.

How can I continue to install 10 Windows on my Mac?

Your BOOTCAMP partition internal not yet have Windows installed on it.  If you're between steps 3 and 4 (the installation procedure standard), your, assistant Boot Camp should automatically rebooting your computer after partitioning, from the installation media (Windows 10 CD), you must have created.  I assume that you already have a Windows 10 installation disk.  Make sure that the disc is inserted when you first enter assistant Boot Camp and you let the computer restart on its own.

Apple instructions are a bit vague (somehow I'm not surprised).

Watch (time code 04:26 - 09:15) in next video for instructions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SxA_OsPEgk).

    Good luck.

You don't have a valid drive for the entrance of Bootcamp. Did you get errors during the upgrade of W10?

  • Bootcamp partition bootable no more after the addition of another partition

Until a few days ago that my Bootcamp and OSX worked very well together. When I did my Win10 partition I created it with 64 GB of space. After a while the hard drive became too small, so I decided to add more space to him. The method that I was about to use is: create another partition 64, go to windows, mix two partitions with windows software.

After you have created the partition, I couldn't open Windows more. First he gave me the infamous "no bootable disc not found" - error and later the Bootcamp partition went in the menu selection that start with alt down. I tried several methods, I saw on the internet, but somehow I can not use the command "write" with fdisk, it gives me this error: "fdisk: / dev/disk0: operation not permitted".

Another mistake I met is: "fdisk: could not open/usr/standalone/i386/boot0 MBR file: no such file or directory" when you use the command "sudo fdisk e/dev/disk0. I tried this method (the solved by one): repair Boot Camp after having created the new partition and also some methods more I found on the internet, including some methods gdisk. They seem to all fail because the operation is not allowed when using "write".

    A few commands:

    sudo fdisk e/dev/disk0

El Capitan requires SIP should be disabled in the local food only, otherwise these operations fail. You cannot use Fdisk to correct this problem. You need GPT Fdisk (Gdisk) to rebuild the MBR hybrid. Please see Re: [help] can't start Windows (8.1) after resizing partition for example.
