Bootcamp partition Windows will not start since WinUpdate

I'm working on a MacMini (mid 2011) on which a bootcamp partition has been installed. I had to work on windows update etc...

So I did update from our wsus server, and then restart Windows, windows no longer starts. There was a line of white underscore flashing on a black screen.

I tried to see if the Mac partition (10.7) was able to start. It has been altered too, but I was able to reinstall it.

__

on windows, I followed these instructions: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4936761?tstart=0

To do this, I created a USB bootable key WIN10 (regardless of the Version of the OS in this case), I started on it to access the repair menu. Here, I opened the CMD and had results of the thesis:

x:\sources>cd c:\

x:\sources>Bootrec.exe /Fixmbr

Operation succeed

x:\sources>Bootrec.exe /FixBoot

Operation succeed

x:\sources>Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

Number of windows installation identified : 1 Add the installation to boot list ? : O

Asked System Device not found.

I assumed it was due to drivers for windows compatibility. (something like record of $ $WinPEDriver), but no idea how to put them on my bootcamp partition, previously never worked with bootcamp.

I should also mention, I tried a classic Windows repair, he told me that my windows partition has been locked. I assumed it was a problem of version of bootcamp. I've updated everything on my mac partition, but he found no update for bootcamp. Right now I'm preparing a bootable usb key with both 'iso' and 'windows compatibility modules' activated with bootcamp assistant.

I don't know when it happens, but now, when I try to boot on my bootcamp partition, there are only blackscreen (not slider more). But also, my screen flashes as if he finally gets the signal just before the black screen.

I need your help for:

-Fixed problem starting Windows partition, OR...

-Give me a way to get the activation key for the license of the installed windows (without starting it (if it exists)), so I can reinstall it correctly.

Thanks for the kind help and forgive my bad English.

    Hello

The other day, I have been stupid, play with my windows partitions, I tried to dual-boot android 4.0 with windows, of course, as a study (this version of android has been mainly Linux). • Satellite P20-761: Windows will not start - it loads agp.sys then freezes

When I pass my laptop it starts with the Toshiba logo as if commissioning, but then the screen goes black with the following message:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware of software change might have caused this... etc etc.

Then I have a list of options to choose from:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt
    Last good known Configuration
    Start windows normally

If I have the choice between the options of safe mode the screen goes through a list of files ending with: multi (0) disk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS\System32\DRIVE.sys, then freezes.

If I have the choice between the last two options simply, the screen goes black and nothing happens.

Of I'm desperate is not to lose all the data that I have accumulated on the laptop. Stupid me not a not bother with backups.

Discs only can I find supplied with the laptop are 'tools and utilities' and 'product recovery dvd - rom '. Seeing that I am not a technical interest, I'm afraid to try just in case I lose all my most important files.

Help, please! Answers must be plain English as like I said I'm not really technical. Thank you. I cross my fingers.

Sounds like something wrong with the graphics card or with the graphics driver.

I think that you have no other choice than to use the Toshiba Recovery CD and attempt to reinstall the OS. I hope that the graphics card doesn t malfunctions.

It's very sad, because in this case, you will lose the data on the HARD drive.
Optionally, you can remove the HARD drive and then to connect to little via the USB port on the other computer, then you can make a backup of your data.

    Hey!
I had a problem that my laptop HP 7 windows does not start more... It takes time to get the Palm from windows screen and then it freezes when it gets to the office. Anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? I was thinking about the HP system recovery, but I don't know if that clears all my data or resets just windows. Don't want to lose all my data if its possible somehow. (I have the system on different hard drive recovery not on disks by the way).

    Hello

Hard disk 1 (303) fast means hard himself is a failure and change Windows is not going to help.  Replacing the hard drive in a laptop is surprisingly easy.  Although the machine in the following link is different from yours, the process is almost identical.

    Replacement hard drive HP

Once this is done, simply use your recovery DVD to reinstall the operating system on the new drive.

If you do not have your restore CD, try the link below to see if you can order a replacement.

A possible way to try to recover your files from a disk non-boot is to follow the process described in the link below.  The CD of the Ubuntu operating system you create can launched from the CD alone (IE it doesn't have to be installed on the hard drive) and I've often found to successfully extract data even a hard failure.  When you created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can save your existing files.

    Diagnostics of material:

    • The main menu of hardware for the HP (UEFI) PC Diagnostics is displayed.
    • Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
    • Turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, once every second about.

  • Envy 17 j120na: 10 Windows will not start because of the driver installation failed

    History:

I have a computer laptop j120na Envy 17 that came with windows 8.1.

I did the free upgride for windows 10 the 18th of this month with success, but because I was not able to decrease or increase the brightness of my computer, or put it to sleep, I realized that I still had to download/update drivers. First I updated the driver GeForce since my SWsetup folder but for the other, I searched online for her, then I saw the driver download progress bar but no progress has been made. I closed the dialog close and there you go, laptop does not start, I just saw a spark between the mouse pointer and the circular blue contraption. Sometimes he shows me a BSOD with lock core auto boost with irql higher acquisition.

    Question:

Is this a problem with the driver installation? And if so, how do I return it?

P.s: System Restore is not an option, I restore point.

    Hi there @Aj1baba,

Thank you for joining the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is a great place to ask questions, find solutions and assistance of HP and the community! I read your post on the Forums of HP Support. I wanted to join you and help! I understand that you are receiving an error message that says "acquisition of lock core auto boost with irql high ' on your HP ENVY 17-j120na Notebook PC.

The question could be deemed to occur by downloading the update. It is difficult to say at this stage. As to return to it, your best bet would have been the restoration of the system, but you mentioned only that a system restore does not work because you do not have restore points.

Have you tried to go into Safe Mode?

You have media or recovery disk?

Have you tried to do a Reset BIOS?

Have you tried perform a hard reset?

You have beep codes or flashing LEDs?

Please ensure that all Bluetooth device that you use with the laptop is disabled (including mobile phone).

Please note: delete all USB/Bluetooth devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

You can update all your drivers by going to the Web site the driver HP or by using the HP Support Assistant. If you enter Safe Mode, I suggest trying to erase the driver that you have downloaded your downloads (or the folder that you saved it in), so I suggest to make updates using updates of Windows or HP Support Assistant for now.

Please let me know if I answered your question by clicking the "Thumbs up" if the troubleshooting in this post steps solves the problem for you please click on the button "Accept as Solution" . This will allow to the others is that present the same problem a solution also. If you need assistance, I would be more than happy to continue to help you. Please just re-post with the results of the resolution of the problems.

    Have a great day!

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel
-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
is CTRL + ALT + DEL and the processes tab find EXPLORER.exe and END PROCESS on it.
then on the tab Applications - lower right - new task - the type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is
accessible by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all hotfix is usually a hit or miss
