11.0.07 blocks the acropdf.dll activex control in the application of part 3

Hi, we use a piece of software that uses the library acropdf.dll - update of Adobe Reader (any version of Windows) to 11.0.07, software that uses acropdf.dll crashes as soon as it tries to display a PDF file (citing acropdf.dll as the module that failed) - roll back to any previous version of Adobe Reader solves the problem.  (Same 11.0.06 works very well) - this was repeated several times on different machines and different versions of Windows, all with the same result.

Is this a known issue with the 11.0.07 latest version?

Thanks in advance.

For those who can still access their VB6 source code - replace the PDF control with a web browser control and in turn all the events of pdf.load with the web.navigate event - this effectively avoids the problem by forcing the PDF file appears on your form within the browser control.  I have now deleted all references to the PDF control in the project, and only use the web control - overall it feels much the same operation.

(Started the re-written in VB.net now if...)

  • Windows Security adds an indicator (a shield) to the icon for the program when it blocks the application?

Recently, I was infected with the virus, Win7 Antivirus 2012. I finally deleted the partitions on the readers of my trunk and data, reformatted and reinstalled Win7 Professional on the boot drive. Since that time, I was driven mad because I keep seeing small shield flags see the place on the icons of programs. At first, I thought it was the virus, but I noticed that each of these files is the 'block' security property. Do Win7 itself change the icon of the program?

    Hello

    1. are you referring to the shortcut to the program on the desktop icons?

    2. the problem is specific to the particular program icons?

    3. what happens when you try to open a program by using the shortcut on the desktop?

You can move the mouse over the program icons and see if it gives an error message.

Note: Items with the shield need an administrative privileges to run.  Most of these things will give a UAC pop-up or must be performed by right click and choose 'run as administrator '.

The icon indicates that the shortcut will prompt you with a UAC dialog box at the beginning.

The shield of the UAC (user account control) on programs indicates that you need elevation to run the program, which means that you must run the program as administrator.

This is not normal, but does not hurt as well. I suggest that you turn off the UAC and check if you have the same problem. You can check the link for more information below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-user-account-control-on-or-off

User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

  • Call dll ActiveX in Labview

    Hello

I'm a new starter in c# .net.  I have a control dll ActiveX (control of vision of NOR -> CWIMAQ). I need to call dll functions in Labview. I searched for articles on this subject. Everyone talks about single thread and register the dll.  I have no idea about these things. Can any body give me a helping hand. How does it work?

    Thanks for any info

    Best regards.

To use an ActiveX control in LabVIEW, you place an ActiveX container on the front panel and locate the control to put it in. Then use the nodes property and/or call nodes of the ActiveX palette to set properties and call methods.

To register a DLL open a command prompt, navigate to the folder where your ActiveX control is normally the Windows system32 folder and type

    regsvr32 .

In LabVIEW use help > type in the search and find examples... tab ActiveX.

    Hi Cisco supports,

How can we block Wireshark.exe or other packages using STROKE sniffer applications? or what category in place?

    Thank you and best looks!

If you want to block the file download itself, you must use file strategy that can block certain extension directly.

There is no specific way to block the software unless it communicates online by STROKE. STROKE detects and blocks the application based on the movement of its communication.

  • ActiveX controls

I get this message pop up Internet Explorer for each Web page, I'm going to: do you want to allow software such as ActiveX controls and Plug-Ins to run?  If I click on no, my computer still right on the same page. I recently downloaded Adobe Flash Player so I can play Bejewled Blitz on Facebook and that's where the problem seemed to start.

    Hello

ActiveX controls are small programs, sometimes also referred to as "Add-ons", that are used on the Internet. They can improve your browsing experience by allowing animation or they can help with tasks such as the installation of the updates from Microsoft Update security.

Some Web sites require you to install ActiveX controls to view the site or perform certain tasks in this regard. When you visit one of these sites, Internet Explorer asks if you want to install the ActiveX control.

If the name (Name.dll) ActiveX control is not added to the list of controls pre-approved in Internet Explorer 7. The prompt to install the same thing happens.

Here are some links to that for more information related to the same please refer:

  • Import the application from Windows to Solaris apex

    Hello

I intend to install Oracle Apex 4.0 in a local Windows system with oracle version 10g relese 2. Can I export the applications of this windows system and import it in Apex 4.0 in a solaris system.

    Thank you
    ~ Nav

Shouldn't be any problem with that. The APEX is a backward compatibility, so import you between facilities with the same version or an earlier version to the latest, but not a later version to a previous one.

APEX is also essentially independent of the platform running in the Oracle DB rather than the operating system. The main thing to avoid here is the use of any platform or specific features of the browser like ActiveX controls in your applications, or the use of DB features that are not available in the target DB version/edition.

  • One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because that is: 1) your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) you blocked an editor of one of the controls

Well this problem started a week ago. When computer first starts or restarts (I did not open any program still!) I get this message,

One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because that is: 1) your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) you blocked an editor of one of the controls

I know this usually occurs with internet explore, but as I said I do not have anything yet open. I've activated all the active X controls in internet explore with no luck. I searched the web for active x forums and blocked the editor and followed all the instructions in the error message (most of them see enabling active x) but without success. I am an advanced user (15 years and more), but it has left speechless me. If I try to open "Services", I get the same error. When I opened my anti virus, it opens but it is just a blank page. I know that my anti virus is working well.  Also if I open internet explorer, I get a blank page, if I go to a website (enter it or go to my favorites) it works fine. I've deleted all the temp, historical, cookies etc. etc. (use CC Cleaner and other programs to clean) but if reopened once again it says white. If I use help and you want to see a help topic that it is said (may not display due to problems of congestion or network, check connection) but internet works fine. I know that I have not a virus (a lot of people in the forums think it) I scanned with Bitdefender, Eset Nod32, Super Anti Spyware pro, Malaware Anti Malawarebytes, Spybot, Stopzilla, etc. etc. and did not find a virus (in safe mode) there are many people on the web with the same problem (with the same and some with different programs). This problem seems to be random (does not affect a certain program) I tried for a week now and I'm stumped! Anybody have ideas that I heard yet?

    Thank you if you do!

    Hi Morksr2d2,

As you mentioned that the problem reappears as soon as you run the anti-virus program, it seems that we found the cause of these error messages at startup.  I would like to recommend that you Uninstall the antivirus & check if the problem reappears. This should also allow you to make changes on the services tab in system configuration utility.

    Later, reinstall the antivirus program.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

    e. then, click the Edit menu in the Registry Editor window, select new and then click key.

    f. name the new key as Schlumberger cryptographic service provider.

    g. Repeat steps d and e. This time, name the new key as Infineon SICRYPT Base Smart Card CSP.

    h. then select the first key that you created, which is the Schlumberger cryptographic service provider.

    i. now, right-click on an empty area in the right pane of the Registry Editor window, select new, and then click String value.

    j. right click on the new string value that you created, click Rename, and then rename the Image path value.

k now, right click on the string value, path of the Image and click on edit in the box under value data write C:\WINDOWS\system32\slbcsp.dll.

    l. click OK.

Mr. then select key Infineon SICRYPT Base Smart Card CSP.

    n. Repeat step i and j.

o then, right-click the string value, path of the Image and click on edit in the box under value data write C:\WINDOWS\system32\sccbase.dll.

    p., click OK.

    q. even once, select the key from the Service Provider Schlumberger cryptographic.

    a. right-click on an empty area in the right pane of the Registry Editor window, select new, then click DWORD value and rename it to SigInFile.

    s. again, right-click on an empty area in the right pane, select new, then click DWORD value and rename the value type.

    t. then, right-click on the value Type, select Edit, and in the box under value data, type 1. You can select hexadecimal or decimal Base.

    u. click OK.

    v. then select Infineon SICRYPT Base Smart Card CSP key in the left pane of the Registry Editor window.

    w. repeat r, s and t.

    x. click OK.

    See how it goes.

  • How to find the references to the ActiveX control

Is it possible to determine where an activex control is used in a labview project?  I have a moderately important project who have used a combination of ad-hoc XML parsers, including the parser XML ActiveX for Microsoft (MSXML).  I am trying to replace all occurrences of MSXML with of builtin labview VI XML or our own DLL calls that make more complicated sequences of calls to XML-Xerces/Xalan libraries.  I want to assure you that I replaced all references to the MSXML parser without having to inspect all the VI in the project.  I was hoping that I could right-click on a function block "Automation Open" and select the option "Find all Instances", but apparently it is not available because it is for a VI I created.  In addition, I was hoping that if I went to the Project Explorer, it would show that the msxml.dll file was listed as a dependency where I could do a 'find Caller' as a regular dll referenced via a "call library function node".  Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can automate this search?

    Thank you.

'Find all Instances' is only available for the screws that you create, but you can always find the function of automation opening in your project. Just open your project and open a VI. Then select Edit-> find and replace. In this dialog box, you can search for specific functions throughout the project.

    Hello

I hope some can help me with one.

I have been using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit for at keast 3 years with no problems until now.

I tried the same key on 32-bit and 64-bit with the same result.

I bought two copies of Windows 7 Ultimate edition of the same online store. The other product key still works fine.

I have alos tried to activate Windows by using the automated telephone system, which still doesn't work.

Can I get the upgrade of windows 8 with my current copy of windows than 7 Ultimater installed? or will this cuase because of the false Windows 7 key questions?

Yes, you can still buy a Windows 8 upgrade and use the Windows 7 Ultimate as a license of qualification.

  • Using ActiveX controls to the old user interface

I tried to build a User Interface for TestStand 4.1.1 using LabView 8.6.1 (on Windows XP)

However, ActiveX controls keep showing in the old non - 3d "block" style.

This seems to be a problem when you build a new exe. If you use the included UI (Full Featured) in TestStand it appears correctly.

I was able to replacte this problem on two other development systems (a new windows XP, LabVIEW 8.6.1 & TestStand 4.1.1 install).

    (1) take a copy of the full-functional UI of LabVIEW.

    (2) open the project file

    (3) rebuild the exe file

It's only a problem when you use the exe file. When you run from the LabVIEW development system it looks good.

    Hi Simon,.

For your UI to take on XP
Theme controls, you will need to place a manifest file that specifies the activex control topics in the same
directory as your executable file. TestStand comes with a manifest file for
INTERFACE c# you can also use for the UI of LabVIEW. Just go to the \User Interfaces\Simple\CSharp and copy the file TestExec.exe.manifest in the directory of the LabVIEW User Interface executables.

Note that the manifest file must have the same name as your executable file LabVIEW UI. For example, if you name your user interface, "MyCustomTSUI.exe", you will need to name the manifest file 'MyCustomTSUI.exe.manifest '.

It also suggests that you can not run a software antivirus... If this is something you need to heal very quickly.  However, installing an antivirus application - if your PC is already infected - is usually ineffective.

I suggest you do the following-
    (1) download and run a full scan using the Scanner for Ms.  Available here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
It does not install, is therefore more difficult for malware to block.
    (2) if that was clean, then get an anti-virus in real-time as soon as POSSIBLE.  There are many good choices (Norton, McAfee, etc.) which costs money, and several good without applications, including MS Security Essentials available here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials
Note!  If you have another antivirus installed, do not add MSE.  Run two at once is precarious - they will conflict with each other.
Also, make sure that your windows firewall is turned on, or you have another 3rd party firewall installed.
