For various managed server startup script
I have a WebLogic 10.3.4 including webcenter suite which also includes the University Complutense of MADRID. It means that I have 7 managed servers.
Is there a way to create a startup script so that when I start the administration server, some of the managed servers will be also launched?
When I set up the field, I have not set up or install the Manager of nodes. Is it possible without the node Manager, or do I have to install/configure it?A startscript example can be found here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=6040 look in the section: from the SOA environment
It shows an example of how to do to start an SOA environment. Note that the example start up a cluster, to launch a single server, you can
Usestart('ServerName','Server')
instead ofstart('ClusterName','Cluster')
.You don't need to install a nodemanager; the procedure to configure a nodemanager is present in the mentioned example section.

Hi Bala,
Depending on your use case, I suggest you call the next VI, which comes with LabVIEW, after your purchase VI is the creation of the data file. Just pass the data file path in the upper part of entry and your path to the VBScript file in less than entry.

Windows XP running startup scripts displays the taskbar?
Hi all
I have a newly installed Server 2003 domain.
I have also 2 machines that I have connected to the domain. One of them works very well (goes on the internet, readers of network etc.).
The other is does not work. It connects to the domain, reboot, then I log into the admin account. After that I did a gpupdate, and then restart the system.
The problem is, when the system starts up again, it seems to start to run startup scripts, then seems to automatically connect on a called user account $ media (Media is the name of the computer).
It displays the windows desktop and begins to run explorer.exe, with this user account (MEDIA$), with the start of the Running of scripts loading screen and does not get more.
(Both the Pc running Windows XP Professional SP3)
Any fix for that?

Subsystem for UNIX - based Applications (SUA) missing.
In my Win 7 Pro 64 - bit o/s the subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA) is not listed as a feature that can be turned on. And I don't see an option in the Setup program to add this feature. How can I add?
It is not included in Windows 7 Pro.
Supported operating systems: Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows 7 Enterprise; Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit edition; Windows 7 complete edition; Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition
To install SUA by using the Windows interface
Click Startand then click Control Panel.
In the Control Panel window, click programs.
Under programs and features, click Windows turn features on or off.
If the user account control dialog box opens, click continue. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
In the Windows features dialog box, select the Subsystem for UNIX - based Applications check box. Click OK.
- In the Add Wizard functionality, on the Select features page, select the Subsystem for UNIX - based Applications check box.
Installation may take several minutes to complete.
Until the download package Utilities and SDK for subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (utilities and SDK for SUA) has been installed on the computer, you cannot run or modify scripts based on UNIX and UNIX-based custom applications. The utilities and SDK for package SUA is available for download on the Microsoft Web site at (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=139521).

Problem with InDesign startup script does not import XML images
I'm doing an XML import automatically from a startup script when a document is loaded. I managed to get most of the content to fill, but the images are ignored. Everything works, including images, when I do a manual 'Import XML' through the user interface or a manual script.
Here's my manual script:
var myDocument = app.activeDocument; var xmlFile = File('/c/Full/Path/To/data.xml'); myDocument.importXML(xmlFile);
But the goal is to do at startup. Here's my startup script:
#targetengine "session" app.addEventListener('afterOpen', function(myEvent) { if (myEvent.target.constructor.name !== 'Document') { return; } var myDocument = myEvent.target; var xmlFile = File('/c/Full/Path/To/data.xml'); myDocument.importXML(xmlFile); });
Here is the XML tag for the image:
<Image href="file:///C:/Full/Path/To/Image/02.png" />
I wonder there is a problem with the
'afterOpen'
event reminder, and it is the reason why it works manually using the same method, but not in the startup script.I solved it by avoiding the event quite listener:
main(); function main () { // create a path for a file object var curFile = File('/c/Path/To/file.indd); var xmlFile = File('/c/Path/To/data.xml'); // close app if files don't exist if (!curFile.exists || !xmlFile.exists) { app.quit(SaveOptions.NO); } // open the file var curDoc = app.open(curFile); // import the xml curDoc.importXML(xmlFile); // create a new file object var pdfFile = new File(curFile.parent + '/' + curFile.name + '.pdf'); // export to pdf curDoc.exportFile(ExportFormat.PDF_TYPE, pdfFile); // close app app.quit(SaveOptions.NO); }

Is it possible to make a call to a Unix Shell Script with the framework of the Action of OBIEE.
Thanks in advanceI don't think, but we can go for it instead side BI. Try to transfer the same features side shell script so that the script can identify your report using the tail of the log nqquery and execute the rest of your lines in shell script.
This can done and works as expected. If you identify your report instead of this long logical query at all with my suggestion that you can go for a little keyword.

How to run the application startup script before the start of telnet (inetd)
Hello
I need to run my application startup script before the beginning of Telnet users on the server. At the present time, the script is at /etc/rc2.d/S98startup which is not useful.
Thanks in advance...
Published by: user4027740 on April 7, 2012 12:41I am inclined to ask 'why', but I refrain...
The problem you'll have is that 'telnet' (really inetd) will be started by SMF and your app startup is a legacy script. I don't know of anyway to you allows to map addictive SMF one departure inherited. The only solution is to write a start of SMF for your application and do inetd:default require your application to be online before you start.

PAM.d/system-auth in a startup script?
I'm trying to configure my startup scripts so that at the end of the script my servers are configured to conform to the best practices of VMware security. Everything seems to work except by editing the etc/pam.d/system-auth file. For some reason when the script runs, it removes all references to the etc/pam.d/system-auth file $ISA.
My startup script includes as follows:
MV/root/ORIG_FILES/system-auth /etc/pam.d/system-auth. ORIG
Cat & gt; /etc/pam.d/system-auth & lt; & lt; AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM
#%PAM-1.0
# Autogenerated by esxcfg-auth
/lib/security/$ISA/pam_unix.so account required
account required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_tally.so deny = 3 no_magic_root
AUTH required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_tally.so no_magic_root
AUTH required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_env.so
AUTH sufficient /lib/security/$ISA/pam_unix.so likeauth nullok
AUTH required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_deny.so
attempts at password required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_cracklib.so = 3
shadow md5 password sufficient /lib/security/$ISA/pam_unix.so nullok use_authtok
/lib/security/$ISA/pam_deny.so password required
session required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_limits.so
session required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_unix.so
AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM
But the end result is a file /etc/pam.d/system-auth that looks like:
#%PAM-1.0
# Autogenerated by esxcfg-auth
/lib/security//pam_unix.so account required
AUTH required /lib/security//pam_env.so
AUTH sufficient /lib/security//pam_unix.so likeauth nullok
AUTH required /lib/security//pam_deny.so
attempts at password required /lib/security//pam_cracklib.so = 3
shadow md5 password sufficient /lib/security//pam_unix.so nullok use_authtok
/lib/security//pam_deny.so password required
session required /lib/security//pam_limits.so
session required /lib/security//pam_unix.so
Notice how the $ISA is taken for each line? Does anyone know how to prevent this?
________________________________
Jason D. Langdon
Hello
$ISA is not necessary as the is/lib/security directory
If everything works out with it if you wish. If it is a standard, you need to meet, instead of using 'cat' echo each line using single quotes around each line. i.e.
echo "auth... ' > filename '.
apostrophes, said shell, do not read.

Installing linux OBIEE doesn't seem to come with startup scripts (to ensure that service starts correctly on the system startup). It doesn't have any startup scripts of adaptable, but even these need to be wrapped so that they start as user 'oracle', background OC4J correctly, etc.. I'm a sysadmin for help, and he is well on his way to work, but it just seems absurd that, with this complex an Oracle environment, doesn't give us at least a model for starting.
Someone at - it good scripts, tested to share?
What Miss me?Tom, I'm afraid that you do not miss anything. Indeed there is no main script to start all the OBIEE services or it is not all the scripts to the server initialization sequence. We created both. The OBIEE start script is a bit too personal to post here, but in a Word, she calls all the OBIEE scripts relevant in the correct order. To OBIEE server initialization sequence, we have added a few scripts in /etc/init.d/ which makes it look like this:
#! / bin/bash
/ bin/su - your_obiee_user-c ' full_path_to_your_start/stop_obiee_script '.Your system administrator must be able to drive there from there. It will be useful.
