• 11i/R12 connection at the base of the machine during the Installation of VMWare host.

  I installed 11i and R12 on VMWare. My host in Windows XP operating system.
  
  11i details-
  VMWare/Guest OS - Windows XP
  Version - 11.5.10.2
  
  R12 Details-
  VMWare/Guest OS - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3
  Version - 12.1.1
  
  Everything works fine on the VMWare OS application and database (sqlplus).
  
  The problem is that I am not able to connect to the data base (11i/R12) from the host machine. I am successfully able to run the application from the host machine after you put the entry in the file "hosts".
  
  To connect to the database, I have installed the Oracle 9i on the host machine client and put the entry in the TNSNAMES file. ORA generated by 11i/R12, but even in doing so I am not able to connect to the database.
  
  Is there a way I can connect to the database (installed on VMWARE) of the HOST Machine.
  
  I've seen a single installation on VMWARE, where we are able to connect to the database from the HOST machine.

  When you apply patches in this mode, adoption will confirm first application layer services are declining and will then proceed to apply the patch in the editing of the system performance database and Oracle E-Business Suite file.   As far as I KNOW answer is no,

  No reason for this process? Why you want to keep your data financial level 11?

  Thanks for the response, at this stage of the upgrade of LATE is not an option. Will we have to make a clean install of R12 for HRMS, 11i HRMS data migration and leave the current 11i for the END? My biggest concern is the trust hierarchy, transfers of payroll to the GL and budgets - there will probably be to write integration between the two

  You can continue to work with oracle finacials and keep working with MFC, but if it has integrated setup that you can develop a custom code for it

  After upgarding Java on the Application Server for the JDK7, I am not able to go beyond the opening screen of application session oracle in R12 using the web browser IE-8, received with error, below, while I am able to work as usual in the browser web Firefox, also established that some of them are able to access the applications , including forms that are of the smillar system configuration than mine, as OS, version of IE.

  The current Architecture is two nodes with the Application on a node and the CM layer and DB level on another node.
  R12 Application tier is going to be on both nodes and the DB on cars.

  Please let know us on how to achieve.
  Upgrade with the node of an application and then clone or make a multi tier application node upgrade.

  Both approaches will work. However, using the cloning approach would take less time to compare several node approach.

  I'm now trying to get WF configured using OAM-Edit Workflow Mailer. After step 4, I get an error "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException.
  
  I have consulted the documentation and tried several combinations for configuration values and still the same error.
  
  Is there a log file that may have more information? Can you direct me to some steps in debugging? Should I move cela the WF Forum?

• R12 patch driver update failed due to invalid CTXSYS objects

  The upgrade driver failed in amviccd.sql file running and after cheking the logs I found objects-related errors to invalid CTXSYS which are invalidated during the database upgrade from 9i to 10 g 2 (after DB Upgrade to version 10.2.0.3, several items belonged to CTXSYS are not valid [458370.1 ID]) at this time, we have ignored these invalid objects because we do not use portal, but now the applications upgrade failed because of this.   also if I can add a few questions:
  the function keys tdlo can't seem to work;
  led for the "FN" key light turns on when the key so assume the FN key works, but there is no response when you press on the "FN" key and one of the number keys on the f - I installed the software of the control unit as have been advised but this has not resolved.

  I also have difficulty accessing the AHCi ' mode to work in Windows XP Pro SP3. I chipset intel 965 m + ICH8M, the Intel ICH8M serial ata storage controller-2828 present in the Device Manager - the matrix storage manager does not work so I copied the file iastor.sys from the folder Manager matrix in C:/Windows/Driver/system32 and changed the registry as read elsewhere on the forum but have had no joy.

  This error message appears if you want to update a BIOS that is not compatible with your model of laptop.
  Toshiba pilot European page provides the BIOS 2.10Win for this model of laptop.
  If you have used certainly bad BIOS.

  First be sure that the AHCI is enabled in the BIOS.
  In addition, the Intel Storage Manager controls the AHCI so you should integrate the AHCI driver to CD Win XP as described here:
