12.4.3.1 for Mac iTunes, playlists, etc.

I have iTunes for Mac 12.4.3.1. I miss the sidebar and find navigation arse-about-face. All the advice that I've seen to restore a semblance of the side-bar is to click 'playlists', but this isn't an option that I seem to have... the only visible options are: 'my music', 'for you', 'News', 'radio', 'connect' and "iTunes store" - I have no interest in "for you", 'new', 'radio' or 'connect', but I would like to at least see my playlists... suggestions?

  • Sync iTunes Playlists between Macs

Well, if Google knows anything, then this question is moot. I searched for hours for a way to do this (see section).

Can someone lie to Google? I want to run my iTunes with 2 computers - and here County, favorites, playlists, etc., are the same on both computers.

Computers are at El Cap, two iTunes are up-to-date, and iTunes is on a NAS.

    Any help or thoughts appreciated.

You probably know, but you will need to put in place a process to sync between two computers

Someone could probably help you with a script that is triggered by a change + x minutes and synchronizes the files updated with the files on the other computer

Don't know how easy it is it is - without doubt OGELTHORPE or Grant Bennet-Alder or Linc Davis

  • Support for iTunes playlists?

I missed on the support of playlists on the media center.  I see the ability to add songs to a playlist that is generic, but I don't seem to see any support for playlists even static or dynamic based on different metadata of the file.  Ideally, I would like to just take advantage of my iTunes playlists, but I see no ability to do.  Is there a way to have more sophisticated playlists, or this will be added in the future?  Without a strong playlist function it makes it a bit difficult to actually listen to the music of this and when you use iTunes instead of the media browser server function, you can always not native iTunes playlists (could be a limitation of iTunes server room, but I was hoping this would be a way to do it).

I can't really talk about future features, etc. in a public forum, but it's certainly something we hope to come out sometime this year

It will not be integrated with iTunes. Probably will be linked in our media browser.

From what I understand, you want to know how to restore the smart selection added recently or re - create this playlist smart in iTunes on your Mac.

If you haven't already done so, you can try to undo the previous command by pressing Command + Z as described here:

  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of using iCloud drive (or other Cloud services) compared with iTunes game against external hard drive, Solid State etc. to store my songs iTunes, playlists, ratings etc?

First question: what are the advantages and disadvantages of using iCloud drive (or other Cloud services) compared with iTunes Match against Solid State external hard drive etc to store my songs iTunes, playlists, ratings etc?

Please let me know what are the alternatives for storage of my songs, playlists, song etc. other than iTunes game ratings ($ 24.99 / year)?  Is there a way to store all my songs with my song ratings, playlists, etc. with a CD song quality? Most of my (currently 130 GB) songs on my computer are CD quality that I prefer to keep as well as my notes of each song (i.e. 5 * vs. 4 * etc.), playlists, groups (music, classical, popular, country etc.).  What are the advantages and disadvantages to store my iTunes songs while CD quality with my personal notes, reading lists, groupings in the cloud?  ICloud of Apple Drive ($ 2.99 per month or $36 / year for 200 GB) would be the best way to automatically update and maintain my rankings iTunes personal including the future editions of the song etc or using Amazon, IBM, Microsoft etc cloud or an external hard drive SSD would work as well and maybe cheaper?  I currently have my iTunes on a PC of 2007 with vista (I use a 1 8T Western Digital external upward by car for my personal info all over HP, songs, photos etc. which is currently close to 170 GB) but also have an Apple i-phone 6 & I Air cushion.  Although I did not need to have all of my music with all their sides, etc. available on all of my devices at all times as iTunes game, I still would have easy access to information on both my PC and my iPhone or iPad?  Thank you.

    In my opinion?

I back up my data to an external drive for several reasons.  The first is my data - if I put on the cloud, someone else has control over it, they can see what I have and change the preferences to what they see of marketing.

Almost as important as that - if I had to rely on the cloud whenever I wanted to update my playlists on my phone, I need a better internet connection I have now (working at sea).  To get the best out of the cloud, you need a solid link to home, work or mobile.

As a spin-off - I hate the fact that Apple take away a feature in their software updates and then allow an app to be sold in their store to replace this feature - or worse still, some features that were available before the updates are now "cloud only."  And Yes - you have to pay for the cloud.  I like most of the people do not appreciate the 'accomplished fact. "

From the back of the external hard drive ASI downside, is that to be safe, you need to store outside in a separate computer place.  If keep you them together, if one is lost, probably, they are both.  That is to say for me a full backup before you travel, then a new upward as soon as I go home.  Downside is how much data may be lost between the two back ups if I needed to restore.  For me, its worth the risk.  If I was away and say had bought a ton of new music and couldn't go home anytime soon, I can always head to the store and buy a new external drive, they are massively expensive.  Even if my computer has to go for repair and my remote is to halfway around the world - I want to buy a new one.

Now, some will say that once you buy a new external, you spend more than you would on a cloud subscription.  It's true, but in the 6 years following the purchase of Mac that I've only had to buy a new external once - so with a little luck and planning - it works.

I left took well - I am not a subscriber of cloud, nor do I want to be.

  • Bridge for Mac crashes constantly

I'm under the bridge for Mac 3.8 on a 32-bit MacBook Pro with OS x 10.6.8.

I tried to transfer music from iTunes to the Z2 without success.  Each time, it ends with bridge for Mac crashing or with a failure error.  If I try one file at a time it works, but if I try to transfer several files in a playlist, even if there is space on the Z2, the transfer fails.

Found the solution.  Downloaded File Transfer of Google Android. Has managed to drag any playlist directly on the phone, files transferred from 1000 in 20 minutes.  Then uninstalled bridge for Mac.  Bit useless software!  Has anyone actually Sony test before release?

In one of the last iterations of update of iTunes (I have 12.4 now) I lost my column headings on my playlists. For my old playlists, I am able to clarify my column headings and use my comments columns and others where I wrote notes to help me determine the manual order of my songs.

But in my new playlists I've considerably narrowed the options. How can I get my old options back?

Use the view menu to change the view of songs, so you control the fields that are displayed.

  • I have an iPad and you'd like to raise my list of bookmarks of Firefox for MAC to my iPad Safari.app; is it possible automatically?

I have a MacBook Pro under OS X 10.5.7 and an iPad running iOS 6.1.3 2.
On MAC, I have Firefox for MAC v 19.0.2 and Safari 6.0.3
The iPad, I have only Safari for iPad. I always use Firefox as my browser for the MacBook, but there is no Firefox app for the iPad.

My Safari bookmarks automatically updated the MacBook to the iPad, but not Firefox for iPad. Is it possible for the auto update from Firefox instead of Safari to the Safari.app iPad? If not, is there an easy way on the MacBook to hold Safari bookmarks up-to-date with bookmarks in Firefox, so that the iPad share my Firefox bookmarks?

If this is not possible now, you count that is possible for MAC users who also have an iPad?

  • Since upgrading my version of iOS of Garageband songs have loops that are not in the Mac's Garageband 10 version. Where are these loops iOS for Mac?

Have Garageband for Mac and iOS (the last two versions as of March 4, 2016). Downloaded all additional content for Mac. Execution of El Capitan 10.11.3) Mac Pro with boot disk upgraded to SSD, upgraded the video card and 24 GB of memory RAM. Running Garageband for iOS on iPad Pro 128 gb and iPhone 9.2 6 +.

Problem: after the creation of Garageband project on iPad, then save in iCloud, I then try to open the project in Garageband on Mac. The launch, GarageBand on Mac first shows the dialog box indicating:

"Some additional content is necessary for this project. Do you want to download it now? »

I then clicked the download, then install several times. After that GarageBand always reports missing cannot find audio files and a plug-in called "FX Remix" not available on your system. ' Are missing Audio file names (which are also looping names): "Dig deep Chord Stabs.caf", 'down with this synth Clav.caf', Topper.caf of Danger Imminent ", 'Mysterious Funk Percussion.caf' and 'striking Synth Stab 01.caf.

I tried to remove all the other boot disks and the re-setup additional content once again. Same result.

You can extract the loops of the GarageBand iOS app, if download you it to your Mac, see: the solution by mprenfro

How to get the new iOS Go makes a loop in your Mac

Download GarageBand iOS for your Mac in iTunes. In iTunes, Ctrl + click or right-click on the application and select "show in Finder".  Now open the package by ctrl-clicking ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications/GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app

and selecting view the contents of the package.

In the window that opens, find the folder Library.bundle, ctrl-click, select again to show the contents of the package, open "Audio", then AppleLoops:

    ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications/GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app/Library.bundle/Audio/Apple loops.
