• Lightroom 6.6.1 import problem - not found photos

  I use Lightroom CC (6.6.1) and just started having a problem with the import of my camera these days.  When I connect the camera to my PC and you try to import the import panel says "No. Photos found.  This also happens with two different cameras, each with their own USB cables and different USB ports.  I can see the pictures using the file Explorer and copy it to my hard drive.  Last week the import on the cameras worked well.  I tried to reset Lightroom proferences but that did not help.  The PC is running Windows 10 and has been for the last year with no problems.

• Lightroom 6 (6.3) import problems

  I have serious problems, import photos from my Canon 5 d mark III. I have over 300 new photos on my CF card, and the import function crashes after importing about 80 photos. Tried five times now, the same result every time. Try to import the same photo through my card reader is even more difficult. It crashes before the previews. The built in Windows import function works fine.

  But also try to add/import a picture existing file om my C drive, also does not work. It will display "0 photos.

  I used 5 before Lightroom. No problems.

  Any help?

  I have a desktop computer with 10 Pro 64 bit Windows installed on a disc SSD M.2 PCIe (Samsung 950 Pro 512 GB).

  You should consider the possibility that the card is bad.

  If you get a different card, take some photos, and then try to import, it work?

• Elements of tags in Lightroom keywords AND maintain the structure?

  Hi, I would spend using elements to use Lightroom. While I realize that I can import my catalog and photos, which should also create all my keywords, I fear that the structure of parent/child of existing keywords/tags would be lost? They would be created as a single list contiguous?

  Can anyone confirm this is the case, and if so, someone knows how to move the tags through all retaining the original structure AND remains associated with correct pictures?

  I moved to Lightroom elements last year.

  The structure of the catalog has remained exactly the same.

  Simply use the menu option in LR to import your catalog of items converted him.  It is in the file menu somewhere.

• Lightroom photo import problem

  I have a problem with importing photos from my Panasonic Lumix camera. This is a new problem, it worked fine until my last import successful in May.

  In may, I imported about 1200 high ground JPEG. No problems.

  Now, here's what I feel. When I try to import now, the area preview import watch boxes without pictures... each box has the number of the photo below as it should... However there are no images. I did the following to try to focus on the issue.

  1. I tried other memory cards using the same device... no luck, same problem.

  2 - I downloaded the images on my desk and put them in a folder and then tried to import them into Lightroom folder. The same problem.

  3 - I tried a memory card for a Canon G1x... everything works perfectly... Files JPEG and Raw files import all perfectly as it should and the preview images are there as it should.

  4. I tried to drag the folder of photos in IPhoto... perfect. no problems.

  It therefore seems to be a problem of camera... It's almost as if the camera is written in a language that Lightroom does not recognize these files.

  But everything was Ok in May when I imported before.

  Confused, and research advisor.

  The import doesn't work is not is a bug fixed in Lightroom 6.6.1 (so you do not have the current version). I recommend you do the update to 6.6.1 LR and see if the problem goes away. Keeping up-to-date in Lightroom

  I have problems to import a batch of photos of a recent session. I am importing images, every time even on the same day, since a camera SD card on my hard drive using the option "copy as DNG.  My original files are Nikon raw (.) The NEF format) with sidecar JPG.  Among the 292 cases tried in importing, only 7 are converted. DNG format and do it in my catalog.  The remaining files have all been copied to my hard drive but are not converted to. DNG and do not appear in my catalog.  When I try to import and convert the remaining files that were copied on my drive hard but not converted to DNG or added to my catalog files is displayed with a check box but eventually fail to get changed or added to the catalog.

  I also tried to copy originals directly into a folder on my hard drive and making the Lightroom Import from there and get a similar result.

  I am under Lightroom CC on a Windows 10 PC.  Any idea what could be causing the problem?

  First of all why you are converting to DNG? LR CC read Nikon NEF files fine.

  Have you tried to copy the pictures to a folder on your disk and import only the naves with no conversion when importing?

  Start a new catalogue and test-only import NEF files with no conversion to DNG.

• Removal of tags imported - do apply to all catalogs?

  I'm building a new catalogue in elements Organizer 12.  My first attempt turned into a hot mess with broken links, etc. (I started it before I really understood how Organizer).

  Organizer is announcing a bunch of keyword tags imported to my new catalog.  They do not seem to be attached to the images in my new catalog, but they are listed under imported tags.  As the goal of creating the new catalog was starting from zero, I would like to clean these old tags.

  My question is: the removal of these tags also will remove them from photos of the original catalogue (hot-mess) Organizer?  I'm not ready to delete this old catalog yet, and I prefer to leave them attached to pictures in the old catalog at the moment.

  If you find tags in the "imported tags" category are really written in the files themselves, it would be better to pass these tags in the "imported tags" category to a more appropriate category. If you removed these tags imported into the catalog, which will not remove the tags in the files themselves, which is usually a good thing. But there is no way to get them then in the catalog. Tags in the files are recognized only at the time of importation in the catalog. If the tag is in your classes here, no problem. If you have no corresponding tag at the time of importation, the tags are imported in the category of 'imported tags' by default.

• iPhone 6 / Lightroom CC / can not import Photos

  I have problems to import photos from an iphone 6 in Lightroom CC on a computer Windows 10.  There seems to be no problem with the computer recognizes the device from iTunes works fine and I can access the photos on the iPhone folders in file Explorer.  However, when I try to use the "Import Photos and order of videos in LIghtroom, it seems to freeze.  The iPhone is considered to be a source in the window Import Photos and videos, but he is not pulling up from the pictures.  I have no question seeks to import photos with my CF cards or older Apple devices.   I would be very happy to hear possible solutions to fixing this problem.   Thank you!

• 6.3 Lightroom (Mac) freezes when importing

  Hi all

  Due the fact that Apple has stopped development of opening I had to do a switch after several years of feeling 100% comfortable with an opening. After some research, it became clear that most of the people would recommend Lightroom. So I bought a copy.

  Import of my opening book is very well and included all my projects and notes (very important!). So far so good.

  Now, I tried to import photos newly shot of my Nikon D7100. Tried with the cable. Tried with the SC card in my Macbook Air. Lightroom still freezes when importing or is back with the 'message' that none of the pictures could be read.

  Returned to the opening. Connected to the camera. Quick import and 100% OK.

  I can't believe that Adobe releases a new version with such a major problem... Very frustrating... want my money back!

  Can anyone help? Is that a known issue - the fixes proposed in the forums don't work not (import options)? Will there be an update to Lightroom soon?

  Also, make sure that you have read and write access on the location where you import the images.

  I am a Professor of photo H.S (black and digital room).  I have Photoshop and Lightroom.  'Digital' students mainly use Lightroom.  Everyone in class is successful, but I have a student who has a problem with uploading images on an sd card.  She tries to download the images from the sd card using a card reader.  They are a 3300 of Nikon nef files.  We are using lightroom 4.  They import but say "Preview is unavailable" if she can't see his images.  She can see images if it opens in Photoshop.  She sees in Photoshop, choose the files that she loves, will return to Lightroom, selects the files she wants import (depending on the number of files) and they won't open in lightroom.  What we're doing wrong?  Can someone explain how to solve this problem?

• Open RAW (.) NEF) in Lightroom elements

  I use Lightroom 3.3 and 8 elements.  I shoot everything in RAW.  I have imported thousands of RAW files in Lightroom (using the copy with the import command) and cannot open them directly in the elements.  When I edit in Lightroom elements, I could only get it open to TIFF.  I have changed the preferences and now get PSD.  Whatever it is, I can't get limited options.  For example, I can't do anything with layers; I can only save in a few formats and JPEG is not one of them.  I like the elements and have several add-ins that I use regularly. If I try to open one of the RAW files from within items I get an error message "Cannot open 'file' because it's the incorrect file type."  The two programs are not compatible?  And why is changing LIghtroom one. NAVE file so that I can not change the elements and more?

  I believe today nobody don't really consider PSD a TIFF, TIFF advantage can now contain all details such as thickness, etc.

  Somewhere along the way, probably over the last month or two, Lightroom Mobile ceased to import pictures taken on my camera for the Lightroom Mobile catalog. I can import them manually, but I got the device set to automatically import. It is always. No idea how I can fix this? Of course I tried reboot etc.

  Could you check in the settings (icon of Lr left superior collections veiw) Lr Mobile if adding auto photos + videos is always enabled. If this is not the case, just reactivate the parameter and the value of your collection of target for automatic import again. Let me know if this helps. -Guido
