I did face a strange note on Toshiba Satellite C660 - 15G. On the specs page there says denunciation that supported for C660 - 15G of RAM DDR3 (800 MHz). Is this good?

Please see the page specs for C660 - 15G here:

I know the 800 MHz DDR2 RAM is!

To please its urgent for me and I need an answer

    All eyes

    Hello

Yes, modules DDR3 800 MHz is an official specs and these modules are on the market so it accurate's on the Toshiba page.

So if you want to upgrade memory you have modules DDR3 at 800 MHz or faster (faster modules are compatible downgrade).

Memory expansion, you can get each authorized service provider or normal computer store.

  • DDR3 PC3-10600 speed RAM can be installed in a ThinkPad x201t?

A Web page at Crucial.com stipulates that the x201t can use either Modules DDR3 PC3-8500, or RAM PC3-10600 DDR3.

However, I can only find references to the former for the x201t in the Lenovo Web site.

You can install two 4 GB, DDR3 PC3-10600 RAM modules in the new x201t?

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum!

Yes, you can install 1333 MHz modules.   However, due to the speed of the bus the X201T processors memory modules will be downclock to 1067 MHz if you have a processor i7 to LM or 800 MHz if you have a processor i5 to UNIFIED Messaging.

technically, crucial is right in saying that the X201T can use these modules.   they just do not work at full speed.

  • HP dv6-1354us: failed to upgrade memory RAM DV6-1354us

    Hello

I just bought a 8 GB Patriot Signature DDR3 PC3 - 10600 (1333 MHz) Double Data Rate single module Non-ECC Unbuffered SODIMM 1.5V power required for my laptop that, according to the specifications of the product, taken Max memory supported is 8 GB. (but don't know if the 8 we can be in a slot or if it takes 2 x 4 GB)

When I plugged the only module Ram laptop (after all procedures safe to change modules) and turn on the machine, remains but no signal video, it did not show the HP logo, I waited several minutes to see if the system needed time to update new material but without good result. So I want to ask what could be the problem? or If someone could tell me on the type memory to buy and upgrade. I tried this module of Ram of Patriot in the other laptop and it actually works, so there is no problem with that. y at - it a way to make this module works by maybe update the Bios of the computer laptop (im) using the F.36 version or any other solution?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks for your time.

either by the way, I checked with manufacturers of CRUCIAL and they suggested different modules DDR3 PC3 - 12800 1600 Mhz Ram upgrade, so I thought that adaptation PC3 - 10600 1333 MHz module should have worked, im confused.

    You are the very welcome.

I think that this could be the problem, or the 4 GB memory you just tried is of a different voltage (1.35v), either a too high density.

Your laptop needs memory low density (low density normally distinguished by the chips of black small 8 memory on each side of the circuit board) and 1.5 V memory needs.  The 1.35v (DDR3L) memory may not work on older chipsets.

Higher density memory has usually 4 small black chips on each side of the circuit board.

  • G7-1329wm Pavilion: 1329wm RAM Dual Channel. Update the bios?

I bought 8 gigs of RAM laptop for my G7-1329wm Pavilion. Here it is:

    http://www.Amazon.com/GP/product/B00OUK919M?PSC=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

It is already much faster than what I had before. My problem is that I expected to run at a speed of 2133 MHz and dual channel mode. CPU - Z does not have these results.

The two RAM slots show the same thing.

It made me start to wonder. Maybe my cell phone does not support dual channel mode or these speeds. So I was wondering if I could do a BIOS update if everything goes well accept more modern equipment and their speed. I checked in CPU - Z that my bios is old path, return from 2012. I couldn't find any support for an update through HP. Can an HP expert please let me know what I can do to get the most out of my RAM speed?

    Repair:

DDR3/1333 MHz (DDR3-1600 (1 GB / 2 GB / 4 GB / 8 GB) modules of memory supported as an alternative source for the DDR3-1333)

So max the card/motherboard/BIOS processor speed will allow the memory runs is at 1333 mhz. I'm frankly surprised the memory you have installed works at all. It's the equivalent of putting gasoline in an engine that can be only ordinary.

The problem goes well beyond BIOS. The chipset can operate at the maximum of 1600 mhz, and HP has set up to run at 1333.

    It is the specified memory:

    Memory modules (DDR3 10600 1333 MHz 2): 4 GB 621569-001

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-621569-001-1333MHz-PC3-10600-SODIMM/DP/B005UF674S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1457907477&SR=8-1&keywords=621569-001

It may seem paradoxical, but your laptop can actually run a little faster and in double channel if you put in the slower memory. You can see there is a lot of information in gray in the CPU - Z I think because the system is not able to see all the technical features of memory, that she does not expect to be there.

  • display MacBook pro on safari and chrome problem

    Hi all

I have a MBP end 2011 that took her mother changed twice. First of all, it wouldn't start when I installed an additional RAM module (I 2x8Go) and then it starts crashing while working last summer.

Now, this is something similar: screen (no ice optional screen hi-def) becomes crazy (black screen and then blur and not centered) then the MBP freezes and restarts. I noticed that it always happens while on chrome or safari and if I stop immediately after it starts, the display will return to normal and I can reopen the browser for a few minutes until what it happening again.

The time it takes to do is incompatible.

I got an error code of Apple Hardware Test (but only on an extended Test): 4MEM/62/40000000: 0 x 84339018

I'm under El Capitan 10.11.5 without problems so far. Chrome takes up a lot of memory, but I think it's OK but navigation now seems much more slow processing of even very frequent beach ball time when nothing else is running and the memory and the CPU usage is well within available resources.

Have not yet done this new info from Apple but I have appointment Thursday based on the problem of the screen and crashes. If there was a MB issue they will replace for free but 1 / I need my computer operation Monday (starts a web programming crash course 2 months!) and the repair could take more time than that and 2 / even if repaired once means that I'm working on a bomb ticking.

I intend to have a small external hard drive with time machine for the entire cycle (I on my NAS when at the office) - how convenient - but I'm always SOL if it happens during the course. I'm not a programmer at all, so it's a challenge already to deal with a failure of the computer at the same time!

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Antoine

The error code you posted shows a RAM problem.  I might try the original RAM and see if it makes a difference.

The specifications for the new RAM modules: DDR3 SO-DIMM of 204 pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz)?  Macs are very selective with RAM.  Some brands do not work well in Macs.  OWC and Crucial are the best sources for RAM Mac compatible.

You can also try the following:

Remove the RAM and clean the contacts.

Take one module, insert it into a slot and start the MBP.  Place it in another location, and then start the MBP.

Repeat with the other module of RAM.

Essentially, you test if a RAM module is defective or if a slot is defective.

    Ciao.

  • Possible NB520-108 - increase RAM to 2 GB?

    Hello

I don't want to increase the RAM which comes with the NB520-108. I know that one is 1 GB memory DDR3 at 1,066 MHZ. I can't find this speed, and my question is: can I put a 2 GB of DDR3 memory module 1.333 MHZ?

    Thanks to everyone in advance.

    Kind regards
    Ricardo

    Hey Buddy,

I checked the specs on official site Web from Toshiba, and Yes, you can upgrade the memory up to 2 GB. That s the maximum capacity for this model of netbook.

Installation of a module DDR3 at 1333 MHz is not a problem that faster because modules are compatible downgrade. This means that the module memory would go with 1066 MHz, but that s, no problem. The laptop will automatically be the clock speed.

  • Satellite R630-13F - RAM upgrade

    Hi all

My R630 is faced with a newly added software for Photoshop (CS5 version). Whenever it is quite slow to open and try to merge the picture for the economy.

I was wondering if I can upgrade the RAM. With a very limited knowledge, I would like to know if I need to buy an additional (if there is a vacancy for it), or I need to get one to replace the old.

I think increasing the memory to 4 GB, but I was wondering if it will be enough for Photoshop. Thanks a lot for any input.

    Best wishes

    Tim

    Hey Buddy,

RAM upgrade is not a problem because it is easy and can be done in a few minutes.

Satellite R630 has Intel HM55 chipset, and the maximum capacity is 8 GB. This means that you can install 4GB module in each memory location. Also an upgrade to 4 GB is not a problem, you can keep your 2 GB module and just buy a new 2 GB module. The module DDR3-10066 part number is PA3676U-1M2G.

If you have more questions just after, again :)

  • HP Pavilion g6 1040-ex: Upgrade of RAM HP Pavilion g6

    Hello

I bought the HP Pavilion g6 1040-ex with product number LP233EA #A2N of Saudi Arabia.

    1. I want to upgrade my RAM. Which can be maximum RAM this laptop can work with?
    2. What are the reference number of this RAM?
    3. In which case reference numbers are not available on the local market, are there alternatives available?

    TIA

    The manual says:

Supports up to 8 GB of memory system

    Memory modules (DDR3 1066 MHz) ● 4 GB PC3 10600 1333 MHz shared 621569-001

    https://www.Amazon.com/HP-621569-001-1333MHz-PC3-10600-SODIMM/DP/B005UF674S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1466594585 & SR = 8-1 & Keywords = 621569-001

You would be able to use any DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM (i.e. portable computer memory). It must be low density and which means 8 black blocks on the side of the chip as a module in the image.

See s. 51 of the manual here for 'how-to ':

    Manual

It's a older laptop maybe 4-5 years ago, you know? Also if you really 32-bit Windows 7 above you will not be able to add effective memory. It takes the 64-bit version to run 4 or more gigabytes of RAM. Care say that this model comes with 3 GB of RAM and 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium so do not know what you have now.

    Available physical memory 716 MB
    Total virtual memory 7.67 GB
    Available virtual memory 1.26 GB

You have a model dv6-3155dx. Here are your specs:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02548013

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See p. 23. Your laptop has the CPU i3 - 370 M and UMA (Intel HD) video so, unfortunately, the processor is not extensible because it is soldered to the motherboard. Put video updated would also require the replacement of the motherboard. CPU upgrades are very difficult and rarely justify financially, in any case, but in your case is not possible at all unless you replace the motherboard, which is even more expensive and less be justified financially. The cost of high end motherboard and CPU and work, you might as well buy a new laptop.

But all is not lost. The best upgrade, you can do is to install an SSD. You can also switch to 8 GB of RAM. An upgrade will be useful, together, they would be a game-changer.

You would need 2 x 4 GB modules specified thus:

    Memory module (DDR3 PC3 - 10600 1333 MHz) - 4096 MB 599092-001

    https://www.Amazon.com/HP-VH641AT-4-GB-DDR3-PC3-10600/DP/B0030L3B8E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1472066313 & SR = 8-1 & Keywords = 599092-001

This model is very, very picky about the memory and it must have 8 black blocks on the side, not 4. Also very intolerant of memory not specified in general. Remember that I bound will work. 'How to' on the manual p.60.

SSDS are a little harder to choose (as many options) and what I need to know is your budget. I recommend at least a concert 500 class SSD and which will cost $120-160. Since you have 10 Windows, it would be easy to download the Microsoft recovery media directly and simply reinstall, then find the drivers and applications and migrate the data. The installation will be ignited automatically the first time that the computer is connected to the internet. You can also clone the existing content of the new SSD hard drive, but I do not recommend with a facility that is malfunctioning.

We also probably discuss blowing dust and verification of thermal management in general. A laptop that suddenly becomes very slow, as you describe may have a hard drive problem, too. You need to run diagnostics on the hard drive and also just to check to see if it is full. Drops of performance as a rock if the hard disk reaches 90 percent and more capacity.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

What you need is not faster but compatible RAM. According to specification for laptop, that your laptop can handle with 8 GB of RAM and 4 GB compatible RAM except the number PA3918U-1M4G. This is the DDR3 1333 MHz module.

  • HP p6310f pavillian: desktop memory

My daughter lives in another State and has visited a week before and dropped off an HP computer, p6310f.  I plugged in and turned it and it has 2 problems.  I will only address one at a time. The computer would not start.  I used my computer to search online to HP for the p6310f features.  I took a mental note on the specs.  I lit the p6310f and press F - 10 to look over the bios settings.  The profile for HP for the p6310f indicates the memory module DDR3 M2N78 - motherboard "is supported.  The BIOS tells me there are (3) memory modules DDR2 installed.  I checked the MB model number and that's okay.  I read the info on the memory modules and they are DDR2.  Is the spec HP p6310f bad sheet when declaring the M2N78 - THE motherboard only supports DDR3 memory strips, or are the memory modules DDR2 badly installed?  I don't know the history of this computer and my daughter she recently obtained a military person being transferred abroad.  I would appreciate any information anyone can provide on this issue. Thank you

    Hello:

It seems that the info attached to the support page for this model may be incorrect.

Here is another page, the same motherboard having demonstrated that it has DDR2 memory.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01635734

If you have confirmed that the stickers on the memory of State it's DDR2 and so not the BIOS, then it's DDR2.

It is physically impossible install memory DDR2 DDR3 slots and vice versa.

The notch in the memory is divided into different locations on DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 memory.

DDR types operate with voltages different and incompatible with other DDR type.

That's why the notches in the memory are cut in different places.  To avoid shorting the motherboard or memory modules by installing the memory of the wrong type.
