17 R3 models 350-$400 difference.

First Post!  Hi all!

I need help to decide if an extra $350-400 worth.  I've tried this application in another forum, but it was crickets after that I told alienware.  Hahaha.

in any case, I'm looking to two laptops 4 k with similar specs.

When I was looking for a laptop, I had three things in mind.  Games, watch hi res video and photo editing.

I had planned to play Overwatch, Unreal Tournament and the Division.  I don't plan to play above 1080 p, unless the game can run at 35 fps or more on 1440 p or 4 k.  Average to high or ultra settings are fine for me when playing above 1080 p.

in any case, here are the differences

The laptop cheaper has

I7-6700hq

GTX 980 4 GB

256 GB SSD

The most expensive laptop has

I7-6820hk

GTX 980 8 GB

128 GB SSD

While everyone thinks?  Is the processor, the extra VRAM but more small SSD is worth $350-400?

Thank you in advance.  I intend to buy one of these laptops very soon.

Reaffirm and clarify; unless you're going to be overclocking the processor, i7-6700HQ is very good. The 4 GB of additional memory on the GTX - 980M is nice, but not necessary. The additional capacity of SSDS will go a long way with game - installs, FIRST photographs for your editing and 4K video files.

My personal opinions aside that I would say, save money.

  • Model cross-platform - differences between versions

I created a template in Dreamweaver 8 on a Mac and sent to a programmer using Dreamweaver MX on WIndows and formatting for him is messed up. Divs are not lining up where I put them. He sent a page of his repertoire (which is mine) and of the model in DW MX and the divs are irrelevant.

This question is based on the cross-platform operating system, DW 8 MX and differences in the way in which these versions deal with MX or some other problem?

    Thank you

    Brian

It was certainly MX. The other programmer bought CS3 and CSS issues went away. And now he is much happier with coding. Thanks for your help.

  • How to make an animation in addition to 350 executives?

I use Ch to create an animation from the mouth of a VO is over a minute long, but I can't understand how to extend the amount that the chronology allows me to calculate the timing of the lips of the mouth.

Is there an easy way to calculate the entire length of the audio, instead of the first of 350-400 frames or so?

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

    -JJ

I just thought about it: it's in the settings of the scene when you click its name in the project window. You can adjust the length by typing in the number of seconds that you want it to be in the properties. I think it should be more simple, though - by adjusting the length of the model as you do in AE (command-K), or just lie down the handles of the scene itself on the timeline.

Since I do not know the model of the computer, I can't review the specifications.  However, if the power supply (PSU) fits into the computer, it causes no problems.  The computer uses only the amount of power required to complete.  High power will be used for peak power needs.  So it's alright to use the power supply of the computer.

  • Equium A200-15I - replacement hard drive

    Hi guys,.

I was wondering if you could help me, you want to replace the hard drive of my laptop (Toshiba Equium A200-15I). its 3-4 years old and just get some small and old.
Is it easy to replace, is it just another wack in and load the disc vista reset factory settings or is it more complicated. Also what hard drive actually buy for my laptop are all made for computers laptops set or is the only difference ata / sata and the disc rotation. If those are the only differences, I realize after reading some of the messages that ata and sata can be mixed, but can I use any RPM or any size? also can you recommend me a couple or where to look to buy

    Cheers for any help
    Mark

Specifications of base model so I don't waste your time looking for them incase you need

    Processor type: Intel® Pentium® Dual - Core Processor T2080
    Clock speed: 1.73 GHz
    Front Side Bus: 533 MHz
    level 2: 1 MB cache

Windows® Vista® Edition operating system Home Premium

    technology: DDR2 RAM (667 MHz)

    Hard disk capacity: 160 GB
    Certification: S.M.A.R.T.
    disc rotation: 5 400 rpm

    Hello

Before any replacement disk HARD is quite easy: there's a blanket of HARD drive on the underside of the laptop that you need to remove and then you are able to exchange the HARD drive.

Theoretically, you can buy each 2.5 HARD drive SATA interface. On SATA interface, there is no limit of capacity for each HARD drive, you can buy. I would recommend a model 5,400 rpm. highest RPM is originally more than heat and need more battery power as well. 5,400 rpm seems to be a good choice.

You can buy in every shop online, on eBay or at your favorite computer store. :)

  • Upgrade to modem cable with router?

I plan to upgrade my modem cable to take advantage of the increased speed that Comcast now offers in our region. I think my Airport Extreme of 2007 could be a brake on the increase in the speed of a new modem. I would like to know if it is better to buy a new modem cable with built-in wifi router.

My current Airport Extreme supports two iMacs (24 "in 2007 and a 27 '' 2010), two iPhones and iPad two minis. My current cable modem offers 34 mb/s download speeds and download about 6 MB/s.

I will be grateful for any advice... Thank you

I think my Airport Extreme of 2007 could be a brake on the increase in the speed of a new modem.

There are 2 different versions of AirPort Extreme offered in 2007... a 1st generation version and the 2nd generation.

The 1st generation version will manage an Internet connection speed of up to about 100 Mbps. The 2nd generation version will manage up to 350-400 Mbps.

If your new service provider will be 100 Mbit/s or lower, it is not really important what version you have. Either the version of AirPort Extreme will take care of this service.

If your new service will be 100 + Mbps, then you will have the Gen version 2nd of the airport to take advantage of the higher speeds.

IF you have the 1st generation AirPort Extreme... And... your new service will be well above 100 Mbps... THEN... it might be a good idea to take a look at a new modem/router.

HOWEVER... If your new service will be less than 100 Mbps... so you probably won't receive any improvement with a new modem/router and it would be wise to simply continue to use the airport until it fails.

So an important question here might be... what version of AirPort Extreme do you have?

Another important issue could be... your current modem will support the service high speed?

Open the AirPort on your Mac utility and you should be able to know which version of airport you have.  If you can provide the serial number and model of your modem, we will see if we can find out what he can do.

If you wondering if Comcast, you should know that the person you speak to will probably receive a bonus if you order a new modem or new modem/router...so you may not receive an unbiased opinion on their part.

Finally, there are a number of users who believe that, as a general rule that you need to replace a modem or a router in about 5 years... even if it doesn't work OK. So, you might get some interesting opinions together.

  • On iOS iPhone 5s 9.3.4 battery problems

My phone knows since April 2016 (probably since iOS 9.2), severe battery drain issue. I tried everything under the Sun, including the decommissioning of location for all applications, to perform a complete reset (erase content and settings), show and restore minimal back (limited to basic iOS with no other applications other than those that are standard with the iOS) and the problem persists. My battery rest time is not more than 3 hours and the use of the phone ensures that my fully charged battery runs out in less than 2 hours. The diagnosis of the battery insert by online call center help on the Apple store revealed no defect with the battery.

Feel completely disappointed with this product as it is just over 2 years and these problems with the battery. On the other hand, my daughter has an iPhone 4S for over 4 years and running the same version of iOS (9.3.4) had no problem with the battery either.

I don't know what else to do now. Agent Apple at the shop suggested that I get a replacement phone (exact same model) for $400 /-even though he had no problem with the diagnosis of the battery.

Any suggestions / solutions are welcome because I am about to throw this phone in the Lake! People buy Apple for its reliability, security, ease of operation, and its allure. If the operating system and the device are not going to be reliable, so why pay a premium for Apple when you can get a prettier search Android phone for a lot cheaper.

Please see this article for suggestions on the life of the battery, especially turning off background App update.

    http://www.Apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

Also try to download the app from the battery life which is available for free on the App Store. Check the battery with it and if faulty, take it back to the Apple store.

If the above does not help, try a system restore. First save your device via iTunes. Also import your photos on your computer and copy all the data if possible. Reconstruction of the support first test and test. If this does not help, you may need to restore as a new and reconfigure from scratch as the backup may be damaged. It is important to have your photos and your saved data separately from the backup. Here are the steps for a restoration:

  • Revised Sprout material?

Has anyone else noticed that there are two seeds listed on the site of HP?  One is Nr J4X03AA and the other is Nr J4W72AA.  They are also described as the 23-sO20 Sprout Immersive computer and computer 23-sO10 Sprout Immersive, respectively.  Wonder what is the difference?

Looking at the specs for both models, the only difference I can spot is that a (s010) model comes with two Antivirus McAfee applications.

    Maybe it's the "USA-centric" model...?

  • Camera Samsung can print directly (USB) to 8500 a but not 8600?

Hi, I have a few Samsung SH100 with built-in Wifi and for months, we could actually print directly from the camera on our Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer only via wifi.  In cases where we had to move the camera and the printer to a temporary location and had no WiFi, it would rely on the USB cable provided with the camera.  Plug it into the USB port on the front and choosing the option "Connect to the printer" on the device picture allowed me to photo printing directly from the camera (without the offset of wifi 2 minutes).  When I plug it in, it says "PictBridge" and "Device to use PictBridge for direct printing" and then I navigate through the camera to select the photos to print, etc.

A few months later, I bought the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus think since they are only a single model apart, I would have roughly the same features.  But while the 8600 can connect to the internet and receive e-mail print jobs, when I connect the same USB cable from the camera to the front port of the 8600 I get the following error:

    "Unknown device".

Disconnection of memory. For more information, see the electronic user guide (also called 'Help') available on your computer after you install the software.

(I confirmed that I have the latest firmware for the printer and not that it should be relevant for our purposes, the computer to which it is connected via USB (rear port) takes place the most updated software HP).

Any advice would help, whether it's something we can do to the 8600 or if we scour the internet to buy another opportunity 8500.  Thank you!

    -Jason

    Hi Jason,

I'm afraid that the 8600 series does not support PicBridge, even if they are similar models there are differences...

You can find the specifications below, PicBridge is not supported and therefore connect a cammera directly only is not supported:

  • Satellite P100: BSOD nv4_disp infinite loop playing a game

    Hello

I hope you can see my details of my profiling system, but in case you can't, here are the basic details:

    Satellite P100-113; 2x2.0GHz; 2 GB of memory; XP Pro SP3. Go 7600 256 MB - factory core/mem speed 350 / 400 MHz - no overclocking.
Out of warranty: purchased as a plant-reclamation in 2006. No problem at all until this - great machine!

I tried for 2 weeks to resolve the formidable 'in nv4_disp infinite loop' blue screen of the problem of death, which occurs when playing company of Heroes Opposing Fronts (COHOF). Original COH has always run without any problem.

I think I tracked down what is happening. Using RivaTuner, I took a log of data GPU, both in the general use of Windows and by practicing a COHOF game. I had just downloaded a "fix" claimed this infinite loop problem; referenced in the nvidia forum.
I think it was the only reason that the game did not plant this time, so that I could look at the newspaper. But this has not yet resolved the problem.

What is clear, according to the journal of Riva, it's the GPU speeds are usually 0/0 on Windows. Then, every few minutes, he crawls up to something like 198/135, for only 10-20 seconds and then again. This, in my opinion, has always happened, because it is accompanied by a rapid acceleration of the fan and a "sigh" to air for a few seconds. The machine has always done since I bought it, and it is not a problem in normal conditions (i.e. not game) use.

But here'w what happened in the game. After playing about 30 minutes (I noted earlier), the game suddenly stuttered horribly, so I thought it might be breaking. FPS increased from typical of 30-40 something like 0.5 to 2 FPS. And this continued for another 15 minutes (I went to play, with gritted teeth, in order to obtain good log data).

Looking at the newspaper of Riva, what happened at that time was one of these speed GPU rampdowns: down 351/398 expected 198/198 - just for about 15 seconds, then go back to the top to 351/398. Given that the "infinite loop" error includes a description "device driver entered an infinite loop waiting for the material to answer", I am fairly certain that it is the cause of the infinite loop BSOD: If the GPU suddenly decides to run at reduced speed in half, under heavy load (COHOF has often been described as the ultimate stress-test system) , you expect this kind of error occurs. I suspect that this is the point to which I would have had a crash "infinite loop" - but perhaps the 'fix', I downloaded caught the ball and prevented the usual total crash.

Temperature: absolutely perfect. I use a Zalman cooler under the machine. Riva reports temperatures GPU 51 c (idle), maxing out at a constant C 66-68 without crampons (load, COHOF). So, my driver unless (I tried 84.4 - later, Toshiba or 91.33, 156.13, 164 something laptopvideo2go.com) is a misinterpretation of the temperature data and imagine that the card needs to be rested (because the driver thinks, it's hitting the ceiling of 115 HP.), is not an overheating problem.

The fact that go up and down this rise has always happen, even with the original drivers installed at the factory from Toshiba (the regular intermittent fan 'sighs') makes me think that this is part of Toshiba design for integration of the Go 7600 in this machine. Perhaps something of the power management, or to extend the life of the chip. (I have all the settings of power-mgmt software I can find the value "grass of the battery, give me performance", since I usually use the machine plugged).

Now, it of very well under Windows, does not cause problems. But he won't. The GPU is ramping down, without apparent reason, while COHOF is throwing a huge workload on it.

    Issues related to the:
    1. How can I disable this behavior ramp - at least temporarily to play COHOF? I've never heard of a GPU accelerates its speed goes up and down depending on the load, so I doubt it's problem of nVidia.
    2. can I get an updated driver for this machine? The most recent is 84.4.0. Of course, it is possible to download drivers from laptopvideo2go.com modded-, but I suspect that these pilots to leave out some specific Toshiba 'magical' that manages the specific details of this card in this machine. (p. ex. or SpeedFan and Riva can detect any fans in my system, which suggests that Toshiba took control of the fan "under the hood" somehow).
    3. where can I get an update BIOS/firmware for the Go 7600? You can find anything on the net, apart from that!

Looks like I need to take this with a hardcore of Toshiba tech (I don't know if Toshiba supports log on this forum); But if someone reads this and has a time "click - I know that this", please post some ideas as to what I can do.

    Hey Buddy

It seems that this Toshiba forum is only a user forum, and it seems there are only Toshiba users here and not technicians.

In any case if I understand you problem described in your long ad, the graphic issue appears only this specific game (company of Heroes Opposing Fronts).

In my opinion, the graphics driver is not fully compatible with this game or your game does not support the nVidia Driver
So it s not a problem with the laptops hardware, but compatibility issues between the two parties game<->graphics driver software

I think a graphics driver update (if available) might help.

Here are my responses regarding the points:

    (1) as I said above, I think that the graphics driver update might help to
    (2) according to my experience, all the latest drivers graphics (and other drivers) are published on the Toshiba driver website
    (3) you can find only a Toshiba BIOS on the Toshiba driver page. BIOS or firmware update graphic card is unknown to me and to be honest I don t think it would exist.

    See you soon

  • Two monitors on hp pavilion slimline s3700y pc desktop?

I have a hp pavilion slimline s3700y desktop pc. is it possible that it can support two monitors?

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion Slimline s3700y. According to the specifications, the power plant is only valued at 160 watts, and there is no card graphics PCIe x 16 on the market which help the power supply to your computer.

Depending on what you plan on both monitors, there may be several different options.

    (1) Day trading, word documents, spreadsheets and other... buy an adapter USB-to-video as the EVGA UV plus + UV19 or UV39.

    (2) game... not recommended

    (3) source (expensive) a bigger power supply (220 watts) and new graphics card for HP

  • No power on my Satellite A100-756

Not sure if anyone can offer advice on this one. Basically, I bought a laptop from a person who I work with my son as a Christmas gift. Paid £400 for she told me was reasonably fair at the time, it was 14mths old.

Since yesterday, it is apparently dead. When it is connected to the power supply there are no lights, nothing. The power cable is hot, so I assume that part is ok. When I move the cord around there is no intermittent power that goes through, so I think that the power supply is ok so that leaves me with the motherboard.

I read on some sites that it can be quite expensive to repair, some companies offer to change the motherboard together, while others will be committed to repairing the defective chips. Don't know whether to send to someone or taking it down to a computer local workshop (I n t want to be ripped off more that I already have) repair!

If someone else has had a similar problem, or can anyone recommend a repair business good to use.

    Hello

It doesn't sound good. As you suggest, there would be a problem with the motherboard of notebooks.
As you have probably known, the motherboard is one of the expansive parts laptop and replacement is not a good case walked.

I assume that it could cost about 350-400 Euros! :(

If you wish, you can call the service provider authorized in your country.
Guys could provide details on the costs of repair and the repair time.

The local ASP can be found here:

    Hey!

When I try to start the laptop, a sound comes from the speakers and it stops after a few seconds.
I don't know what the problem... Please, need help!

    Thank you very much!!

In my opinion, the beep was caused by Power-on-self-test (POST).
The STATION is running in the background and checks your hardware to ensure that everything works correctly.

The sound signal is a BIOS error code and it seems as if a hardware failure has been detected and in most cases it s a malfunction of the motherboard :(

I think you don't have a lot of possibilities.
In my opinion, you need assistance from EPA.
The technician may test the computer laptop and could know what's exactly wrong and what causes this problem.

In the worst case, you will need to replace the motherboard and is not cheap.
You know, everything is about money, you can easily get a new motherboard, but I guess you will have to pay about 350-400 euros.
Therefore, you should consider some other possible solutions IE a laptop second hand.
