192.168.1.1 comes empty

When I go to 192.168.1.1 it started empty comin.

I tried in firefox and chrome on 2 different computers using windows 7 and 8.

The router is a standard package and WRTG54 parameters.

I can ONLY use wireless.

I can't access it physically because it's in my roommates locked room and he died in the Viet Nam for several months.

Close the electricity in our apartment will leave the building without eectricity (12 apartments) and will probably make me even more unpopular, and I doubt that this will solve the problem.

Thanks for any input.

(I can not get my body or my computer on a cable network, and I can't get my fingers on the router)

Because you can't do anything with the router, you can try only IE as another browser.  After that, you must be physically able to power cycle the router and then try a hard reset.

  • What is 192.168.1.1:domain in the command NETSTAT?

Hello, I was using the command prompt and typed in netstat - see open ports on my XP computer.  Then I found a bizarre result that I have never seen this.

It was the Proto local address foreign address State

What is this 192.168.1.1:domain?  I think that 192.168.1.1 is my gateway router, but why it is said: field?
a few minutes later, I typed netstat - at the command prompt to check again, but it's there anymore.
This means that my computer is on a domain network, or something?  As far I checked, my computer doesn't seem to be on a domain network, but I don't know what that means.
I've looked for information online, but no luck... I am so naïve and if anyone can help me with the answer, I would really appreciate it!

    Thank you much in advance.

Yes, it is normal for home use.  Whenever you enter a domain (e.g. www.google.com) name in a browser, this name must be converted into a numerical IP address until the site can be contacted.  This requires a query to the domain name server.  You must have timed your command "netstat" just catch the DNS port open.

I have also tried the/flushdns / release & renew functions without result.
I also tried to totally replace the drivers with a new download on Marvell website and still no joy.

  • EA6350 forces 192.168.1.1 as DSN - fails

I just bought this router EA6350 and have been messing about with it for a week now. The problem is the DNS parameter passed to DHCP clients is 192.168.1.1. This is the new IP address of the router and not a DNS server.

On my LAN, I have 2 DNS servers. First box is Linux 192.168.1.135, second box's 2008 offering VICTORIES to 192.168.1.200. I entered these static DNS entries with 1 entrance to my ISP.

The results are the No. DNS resolutions. The only solution I found is to enter my DNS to each computer. This is not acceptable because when I leave the House, I have to remove the manually entered DNS to connect to another network.

I found the question on this forum but I have found no solution other then manually enter a DNS. What more should I should I do with this router? Ideas?

I have heard that with the WRT1900AC router and Linksys had their reasons for this. Although I don't know if this has the same effect with your current router, but:

It is a feature of the router. All DNS queries are handled by the router. The router uses the static DNS servers who entered the router UI but will only pass the IP address of the router to the DHCP client.

This allows a correct handling of the www.linksyssmartwifi.com URL to point to the router of the UI rather than the Linksys Wifi Smart cloud.

Make sure the firmware on your router is up-to-date.

Hello! This is the first time that I'am configure my linksys router to have wireless internet at home. I was able to successfully connect to the configuration of the router 192.168.1.1 page... but after a few minutes the page expires and finally I can't reconnect. I have to reset the router back into the configuration page. No idea why this is happening? Router: Linksys wireless-G

Finally, I made a connection with my linksys router and let the wireless connection works!

What I did downgrade my firmware to this one: ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/befw11s4_v4_v1.50.14_code.bin

Also disable UPnP on the computer.

To disable UPnP, open the window Services (services.msc). Locate the SSDP Discovery Service in the list and double-click it. Click Stop to stop the service and change the startup type to disabled to prevent it from loading the next time you start Windows. Click OK, and then do the same for the Universal Plug and Play Device host.

I hope this can help others who have connectivity problems with their linksys G wireless router!

This has happened on an incredible pace.  It worries me due to the fact that I had a procedure of detail with suppliers in Hong Kong.  Access attempts are extreme, as well, noted that it is access to Blackhole.  I need to know if my computer is in danger and if so how to avoid this problem.  Of note is that I use Facebook and you have Hotmail.

The IP 192.168.1.1 is usually a router. What network equipment do you use? What program are you getting this error? Look at this thread:

Try to disable the PnP features of the router and see if that solves the problem.

Anyone have any suggestions on what evil is?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

Your computer is connected to a domain network?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem may occur if a firewall blocks the access or the incorrect router settings.

I suggest you reset your modem/router device and check if it helps.

You can refer to this article:
    http://KB.NETGEAR.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/9665/~/restoring-a-NETGEAR-home-router-to-the-factory-default-settings

However, you can also try turning off the firewall and antivirus and then check the issue.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you

As you can see the end of discussion, we still do not have an official communiqué, which solve this problem. You can call the Cisco SB helpdesk and open a Service request. I can't confirm if there is already a beta version which fix, but at least you will be informed when it's done.

  • Why couldn't log on to the 192.168.11.1

I want to install a password for my wifi on my own.  But I could connect to 192.168.11.1 ip

is there a setting for the browser problem?  How could I solve this problem.

    Hello

If you try setting using Wifi, it will kick you when you change the settings.

Router manufacturer set a default username and password for this account to the plant, generally using the same settings for all of their equipment.

What brand / model of the router?

Have you contacted support by the manufacturer?

    Try to reset the router

Press and hold the Reset button on your router back to the factory settings. This will delete all your settings.

  • iPad does not connect to the Wifi on the range 192.168.0. *.

I have an iPad Mini (ME860BA) on os 9.3.1 that would not connect to my wifi at home.  He began to abandon their studies repeatedly a few months before and then just wouldn't connect at all.  It is on the os 9.3 so I upgraded to 9.3.1 but it did not help.  I was able to connect using a hotspot from my phone but no go on the real wifi. Sometimes it seems impossible to connect and others it seems to connect but without the wifi icon that appear (and internet access). All other devices connect to the House without exception (or question) - it's just my iPad.

I followed every bit of advice I've found - turning wifi off & on, forgetting network, reset all the network settings, hard reboot, reboot normal, turning airplane mode turn off again, go up the brightness of the screen (odd) and finally I restored my router and the iPad to factory settings.  Nothing worked, so I took him to a store of Apple and waiting for the genius to see me I thought I would try to connect to the wifi and it went all right!  I felt a little silly to start with but they still took a look and said that he had 'something' bad, but they didn't know what.  Their best guess was that it was something to do with password authentication because they are client wifi has no password.  I returned home and disabled the security mode of the router - I have a Virgin Superhub running the 2.4 and 5 GHz primary wireless networks - no amount of adjusting the security modes (remove the password, make visible SSID, change of Protocol) makes all the difference.  However, knowing that it worked on wifi from Apple in the store, I was really puzzled.

After ages bother with different parameters (especially in my router), I now know why it does not connect to home... My Virgin router to short on a range of address DHCP IP of 192.168. 0. * and my iPad suddenly won't connect unless the beach is 192.168. 1. * or higher.  (It connected OK for 2 years).  It took weeks to find this out, but at least now I can connect.  I turned on the wifi of comments because it uses the gamme.1.  Everything is good, connects the first time, every time!  I have not tried establishing a password (I was so happy, it connected I left because it was... well as I switch on the MAC filtering, for a little extra protection) I could try side password later and if it still connect, I'll update my post.

My solution is very well when I'm at home but is not going to help if I get the iPad with me - it will be hit & miss if I can get the WiFi also.  Must be set correctly - I see no that it is hardware related, so there must be a bug in the software/firmware.

Anyone having problems connecting to wifi can try the workaround network comments - at least it will get you.

Is there a future fix for this?

Re: iPad wifi suddenly does not save

Change the range on the router you want to connect to.

  • I have problems with my 7510 holding a wireless ip address 192.168 etc. He said 169. etc.

My HP Photosmart all-in-one (which is only a few months old) stopped communicating with my router Netgear DGN1000 Adsl a few days before Christmas.

Instead of the 192.168.0.9 ip address that he used before I turned off the router, ITI is back with an address of 169.254.249.128; 'Source setup' = 'Auto ip "; a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0; and default gateway 0.0.0.0. I know that they are bad, so I tried a fixed ip address to 192.168.0.201, a SM 255.255.255.0; and a DG 192.168.0.1; It was OK, but the next day, returned to the auto ip settings.

I finally managed to contact HP and the guy spent 75 minutes with me trying to restore things and finally the village that the Netgear router did not have access to the printer via certain ports (which he sent me a list of) and something he said that I had to tell my ISP (Virgin media) "FLOOD DETECTION SET to OFF" & "SP1 FIREWALL SET TO OFF.

Communicating with VM, they were insistent that their router was not at fault - they could open ports 12 or so, at a cost to me of 60 pounds! (I refused this)

HP told me how to set up for printing Ad Hoc (bypassing the router), who had worked during our tests.

VM has been in my settings for the router, via a remote access device and verified a few settings, but the only one, I saw them alter was CH10 CH11 to change.

I could certainly not the printer to accept the 192.168.1.201 after that anyway.

As a result, I have reset the network default printers and reconfigure wireless settings. He seemed OK and running on 192.168.0.9

    I have now reset IP address in the manual on the printer, by entering the 192.168.0.9 and 255.255.255.0; and 192.168.0.1;

Touch wood he delayed for a few days, but I havn't turned off anything (but during the night before it went wrong!)

I'm not convinced I have a solution here and would welcome any suggestions as to what I can still do it.

Maybe I already have some, as I "completely uninstalled and reinstalled the software HP7510 on my desktop PC.

Incidentally, the printer is set up on 3 PCs in the House - a desktop computer under W7 HP 64 bit, a laptop (same model with BONES) and a laptop under W7 HP, but 32-bit computer.

All were unable to print when I had problems.

I would appreciate any suggestions for a fix permanat more. (I would have rather found a final breakdown) I have all other routers, I could try, or I could open ports, but my question is - if I had need of these open ports and other settings (detection of flooding etc.) why the work of the printer for the first few weeks I had it implemented, and why turn off the router caused these issues? (Assume that I need in the future - to turn off the router happens)

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hi Dave,.

    Great post with good information.

As you mentioned, the printer came back with a style 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address. This is normally produced when the device is not able to get a full connection with the router, router it gives an internal IP address.

Normal suggestion when a printer continues to maintain a connection is to assign a static IP address. This is done by using the manual IP functionality, you've talked about using. This locks the device to the network settings, and even when the network is restarted the information is preserved. This should be the solution to the issue.

    I hope this helps.
