problems accessing 192.168.1.1

I tried to access 192.168.1.1, but when I put the user name and password in it, it just reopens. My router model is linksysE1000. I tried admin for the user name and password, and the empty user name and admin password. Why it is not working?

Thank you very much for this information. I talked to the person who has put in place, and he had changed the password. Fortunately, he saved a paper with the top pass . Thanks again!

Anyone have any suggestions on what evil is?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

Your computer is connected to a domain network?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem may occur if a firewall blocks the access or the incorrect router settings.

I suggest you reset your modem/router device and check if it helps.

You can refer to this article:
    http://KB.NETGEAR.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/9665/~/restoring-a-NETGEAR-home-router-to-the-factory-default-settings

However, you can also try turning off the firewall and antivirus and then check the issue.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

  • Impossible to access the gateway 192.168.1.1 username and password is incorrect

When I want to access 192.168.1.1the user name and password that worked before now don't work anymore! Why?

If someone forgets his password it should do? How can I reset my login and my password?

I really have to change the configuration of my router. My router model is WAG120N

    Thank you

You can try to connect to the router configuration page using i.e. password default "admin", if it does not, then you can use "admin" as the user name and password and then check... If this still does not work then you need to reset your router.

To reset your router press and hold the reset button on the back of your router for 30 sec then unplug the power supply and reconnect it back... But it will restore your default router.

  • I have problems with my 7510 holding a wireless ip address 192.168 etc. He said 169. etc.

My HP Photosmart all-in-one (which is only a few months old) stopped communicating with my router Netgear DGN1000 Adsl a few days before Christmas.

Instead of the 192.168.0.9 ip address that he used before I turned off the router, ITI is back with an address of 169.254.249.128; 'Source setup' = 'Auto ip "; a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0; and default gateway 0.0.0.0. I know that they are bad, so I tried a fixed ip address to 192.168.0.201, a SM 255.255.255.0; and a DG 192.168.0.1; It was OK, but the next day, returned to the auto ip settings.

I finally managed to contact HP and the guy spent 75 minutes with me trying to restore things and finally the village that the Netgear router did not have access to the printer via certain ports (which he sent me a list of) and something he said that I had to tell my ISP (Virgin media) "FLOOD DETECTION SET to OFF" & "SP1 FIREWALL SET TO OFF.

Communicating with VM, they were insistent that their router was not at fault - they could open ports 12 or so, at a cost to me of 60 pounds! (I refused this)

HP told me how to set up for printing Ad Hoc (bypassing the router), who had worked during our tests.

VM has been in my settings for the router, via a remote access device and verified a few settings, but the only one, I saw them alter was CH10 CH11 to change.

I could certainly not the printer to accept the 192.168.1.201 after that anyway.

As a result, I have reset the network default printers and reconfigure wireless settings. He seemed OK and running on 192.168.0.9

    I have now reset IP address in the manual on the printer, by entering the 192.168.0.9 and 255.255.255.0; and 192.168.0.1;

Touch wood he delayed for a few days, but I havn't turned off anything (but during the night before it went wrong!)

I'm not convinced I have a solution here and would welcome any suggestions as to what I can still do it.

Maybe I already have some, as I "completely uninstalled and reinstalled the software HP7510 on my desktop PC.

Incidentally, the printer is set up on 3 PCs in the House - a desktop computer under W7 HP 64 bit, a laptop (same model with BONES) and a laptop under W7 HP, but 32-bit computer.

All were unable to print when I had problems.

I would appreciate any suggestions for a fix permanat more. (I would have rather found a final breakdown) I have all other routers, I could try, or I could open ports, but my question is - if I had need of these open ports and other settings (detection of flooding etc.) why the work of the printer for the first few weeks I had it implemented, and why turn off the router caused these issues? (Assume that I need in the future - to turn off the router happens)

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hi Dave,.

    Great post with good information.

As you mentioned, the printer came back with a style 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address. This is normally produced when the device is not able to get a full connection with the router, router it gives an internal IP address.

Normal suggestion when a printer continues to maintain a connection is to assign a static IP address. This is done by using the manual IP functionality, you've talked about using. This locks the device to the network settings, and even when the network is restarted the information is preserved. This should be the solution to the issue.

    I hope this helps.

  • Extremely slow WRT54G navigation pages @ 192.168.1.1 - this could be a problem with network card?

Friend of mine is having the problems of Internet connection on his main PC which is hard wired to the router, it is using Comcast cable (18Mbit) and all of a sudden today the speed fell to dialup speeds, literally, however its ONLY this main with the issue of speed pc, there are 2 other computers connected wirelessly to the router, and they run at full speed during the test on speedtest.net

Solve the problem, I tried bypassing the router and still have the issue of speed, so I can pretty much rule out the router, but as part of my troubleshooting whenever I try to access the router configuration pages via 192.168.1.1 but it is VERY slow to respond.

For example when hitting enter after typing 192.168.1.1 it takes about 45 seconds to view the router configuration page, and then clicking on any other tabs takes 30-45 seconds longer to respond.

So my main question with this post, is it possible that its network card went bad? What would cause really slow access to the configuration of the router?

The PC is under Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit and Ive tried to run the network troubleshooter, uninstalled the network card in Device Manager / reinstalled the drivers but nothing seems to work.

I also ran Malware Bytes and the analytical results were clean.

    Any ideas appreciated!

can you 'borrow' a card? This is the only way to be sure, eliminating hours of trial and error procedures. one of the mega electronic stores is a good source, if it solves your problem you keep the card, otherwise there is the option to return

  • "A computer at 192-168-1-1 has attempted to access one of the ports on your system (PTC port 2869) the source IP is an IP address that is not routable"

This has happened on an incredible pace.  It worries me due to the fact that I had a procedure of detail with suppliers in Hong Kong.  Access attempts are extreme, as well, noted that it is access to Blackhole.  I need to know if my computer is in danger and if so how to avoid this problem.  Of note is that I use Facebook and you have Hotmail.

The IP 192.168.1.1 is usually a router. What network equipment do you use? What program are you getting this error? Look at this thread:

    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=59493

Try to disable the PnP features of the router and see if that solves the problem.

I doubt that this has nothing to do with sellers in Hong Kong but if you want to make sure that your computer is clean, being proactive and scan.

  • Why can't I access the modem 192.168.1.1 when connected to the wireless router?

I'm unable to access my DSL Modem 6100 Westell using 192.168.1.1 when connected to the Netgear WNDR3400 wireless router. I can access it, however, when I connect directly to the ethernet port on the computer without going through the router. I've set up according to the instructions. Is it possible to correct the problem?

This isn't a problem.  This is the standard behavior.  You are connected to the side LAN of the router that is isolated from the side WAN (uplink).  This is the mode of operation of routers.

  • Cannot access the WRT320N cascading to the IP 192.168.1.2

I have two routers WRT320N running.  The first is 192.168.1.1 IP and DHCP turned on and connected to the cable modem.  The second WRT320N is IP 192.168.1.2, disabled DHCP, NAT disabled.  The second router is connected to the first by using one of the ports labeled 1thorugh 4; the WAN port on the second router is not used.  Both routers are configured for wireless with an appropriate warranty, etc.  I put Remore management 'on' and put at the disposal of all property intellectual.  Now, I realize that remote management can be provided for use of the internet (not my intended use) rather than on the same home network.

Good new first: the works of all things.  Devices wired for both routers have internet access and can 'see' each other for sharing of files, etc.  In addition, devices wireless on both networks seem to work OK, and the first router [192.168.1.1] shows all devices as clients, no matter what router they are physically or wireless connected to.

Now the bad news: although it has worked reliably for days, I now can't access the second router [192.168.1.2] from anywhere in the network (no matter what router, the computer is connected to).  Work of its customers and you can test it with success of any computer, but when I type http://192.168.1.2 on IE or Firefox from any computer, it times out.  No dialog box asking for the password; not nothing.  All times out.  I tried the cyclical power router, but that has no effect.  Once again, during the first days, it seemed to work.  I could type http://192.168.1.2 of any client in the network and access the Router 2 very well and see its settings, set its SSID, etc etc.  Still, the router seems to work as I would and my network performance is OK, even for clients on the second router wireless, but I can not only access the URL.

I'm sure I can hit 'reset' and that it will probably heal, but it also means that I have to start from scratch on a long list of the customizations I made to its settings, including. SSID, security, IP address, NAT configuration, etc. etc. (I save a configuration after I put in place.)  Is the only option to reset and then re - load the saved configuration? )

Any thoughts here?  It is always tempting to blame firmware, especially when it works OK for a while, and then it stopped working.  Of course, I could also do sometihng evil.  Any help appreciated.  Thank you.

    to: Helm

    Thank you very much.

It turns out that I had to do the factory reset, and then I have download the old config file until I'm your answer

so far, all is well... the device seems to move traffic as it should, and I can access it again by entering the URL http://192.168.1.2

I'll see how long the 'fix' hard... I really think they have a bug in the firmware there somewhere

If she out craps again, I will set up from scratch, as you suggest.

Thanks a lot for your help

I think I'm 'good' for now.

  • E2500: 'the connection to the 192.168.1.1 was interrupted." When you access the configuration page.

Trying to access the configuration page, 'the connection to the 192.168.1.1 was interrupted."  I'm wired into the router.  Any idea of what is the cause?

Ugh, I'm stupid... I was using the button in the back instead of the reset button on the bottom.  Thanks for the tip-off that the reset method should have worked.

  • E8350 in Bridge mode allow me access to the router with 192.168.1.1

I have a small home network with the E8350 (AC2400) and a PK5001A of Qwest ActionTec modem.  I needed to put the router in Bridge mode to enable NAT in the modem works properly.  By simply disabling the NAT in the E8350 network broe. Once I placed the E8350 in bridge mode, I lost connectivity via 192.168.1.1.  The network seems to work correctly, I can't access the router remotely.  Is this normal or is it a different setting I'm missing?

When you have done this, you probably have a new ip address of the primary router. See what she is looking at the main router connections or by manually adjusting it 192.168.1.2 or some other ip that is in your network. If the primary router uses a different subnet as 192.168.0.x, then you must use an IP also in this same range.

  • I can't access my linksys router using 192,168.1.1 or ping the router or research on the ipconfig command.

    Access router

I can't access my linksys router using 192,168.1.1 or ping the router or research on the ipconfig command. 192.168.1.1 is the URL and only worked twice in the multiple attempts

Are you absolutely sure this is the IP address of the gateway?

Open a command prompt and type "ipconfig/all" (without the quotes, noting the space between ipconfig and / all) and see what it teaches you about the IP Address of the default gateway.

  • iPad does not connect to the Wifi on the range 192.168.0. *.

I have an iPad Mini (ME860BA) on os 9.3.1 that would not connect to my wifi at home.  He began to abandon their studies repeatedly a few months before and then just wouldn't connect at all.  It is on the os 9.3 so I upgraded to 9.3.1 but it did not help.  I was able to connect using a hotspot from my phone but no go on the real wifi. Sometimes it seems impossible to connect and others it seems to connect but without the wifi icon that appear (and internet access). All other devices connect to the House without exception (or question) - it's just my iPad.

I followed every bit of advice I've found - turning wifi off & on, forgetting network, reset all the network settings, hard reboot, reboot normal, turning airplane mode turn off again, go up the brightness of the screen (odd) and finally I restored my router and the iPad to factory settings.  Nothing worked, so I took him to a store of Apple and waiting for the genius to see me I thought I would try to connect to the wifi and it went all right!  I felt a little silly to start with but they still took a look and said that he had 'something' bad, but they didn't know what.  Their best guess was that it was something to do with password authentication because they are client wifi has no password.  I returned home and disabled the security mode of the router - I have a Virgin Superhub running the 2.4 and 5 GHz primary wireless networks - no amount of adjusting the security modes (remove the password, make visible SSID, change of Protocol) makes all the difference.  However, knowing that it worked on wifi from Apple in the store, I was really puzzled.

After ages bother with different parameters (especially in my router), I now know why it does not connect to home... My Virgin router to short on a range of address DHCP IP of 192.168. 0. * and my iPad suddenly won't connect unless the beach is 192.168. 1. * or higher.  (It connected OK for 2 years).  It took weeks to find this out, but at least now I can connect.  I turned on the wifi of comments because it uses the gamme.1.  Everything is good, connects the first time, every time!  I have not tried establishing a password (I was so happy, it connected I left because it was... well as I switch on the MAC filtering, for a little extra protection) I could try side password later and if it still connect, I'll update my post.

My solution is very well when I'm at home but is not going to help if I get the iPad with me - it will be hit & miss if I can get the WiFi also.  Must be set correctly - I see no that it is hardware related, so there must be a bug in the software/firmware.

Anyone having problems connecting to wifi can try the workaround network comments - at least it will get you.

Is there a future fix for this?

Re: iPad wifi suddenly does not save

Change the range on the router you want to connect to.
