2 100 Acer dead

I bought 2 (two) Acer 100 (a brand new and refurbished the other).  My new one lasted 13 months and all I have is a blank screen.  I tried to do a reset and nothing.  Totally disgusted that something might cost $250 and only 13 months.  I bought not guaranteed until something like this should last a heck of a lot more than 13 months.  One renovated lasted 10 months.  I buy a warrantly about that one and told me that it is not repairable, because these are no longer implemented (GOOD THING), while the parts cannot be replaced.  I never, never buy an Acer product again.  If there is a problem with these tablets, there should be a recall.  I'll buy Apple products in the future!  They make sure that their products will last much longer.  Totally disgusted.  I can't believe that this company gets away with it!

I'm sorry to hear that you have problems with your A100s. If you could send me the serial number of the device, that you still have problems with I would be happy to see what we can do.

  • iPhone 5 battery runs very quickly when using mobile data

When I use mobile data on my iPhone 5, the battery seems to run out quickly. When I say fast, I mean very quickly, it will drop 100% completely dead in 20 minutes. What I do when I use mobile data is send some Snapchats and that's all. I left mobile data on, I have it on when I need to use it. I tried using mobile data for other things, and the same thing happens. Sometimes the phone will completely die to about 40% of the battery being left. I am almost convinced that I need at this point a new battery for my phone. Finally, I want to mention that these problems don't happen when you use mobile data, WiFi. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • The Veriton x 275 memory upgrade

We try to upgrade memory in some of our workstations in a local small business. We have about 100 Acer machines (models vary), but generally include the x 275 for our old machines.

We bought (through online vendors) memory from Corsair and Gskill (as their customer support is great and the products) However, none of the memory has been consistent. We bought (single) 2 GB and 4 GB kits (two-channel) nothing works. (All the sticks of memory were DDR3 PC3-10600 and the same voltage / similar timings as OEM chips.)

I looked in the online documentation for the Veriton x 275 (in which there are very few technical specifications or a list of qualified suppliers) and got absolutely no information on is that the memory taken maximum supported the recommended voltage, timings.

Someone has had problems upgrading these desktop computers and know what is best for the machines OR does anyone have access to the appropriate documentation that could shed some light on what we should buy? My only guess is perhaps the new memory is high density, and these machines can support only low density sticks.

It turns out that it was indeed a problem with memory being high density. We ended up ordering memory from crucial and had no problems what so ever. Even if the memory was the same exact timings, voltage and rated for the same speed, the difference between them is the density of the modules themselves. The old boards do not like high density memory (8 chips instead of say 4 for the same size) and yet the same version of high-density worked in newer models.

  • No warranty support

Hello, my company has sold nearly 100 Acer laptops in the last year. All worked fine except one. It will not charge a battery. We checked this by reversing the batteries of identical devices.

The real problem is that we cannot get this replaced unit. It was bought Newegg business and during the call using the number and entering in the SNID [under the direction of privacy] the automated system is longer warranty and sends us to the 3rd party.

So therefore, we communicate with Newegg which said that acer has checked the warranty and we remember. This has happened for more than 7 months! In less than 5 months, which means the real warranty will expire if it has never been used.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

Thank you, we tried several times. The rep from Newegg just found that by using the support chat and by entering the complete serial number it finally worked. The helpline or cat would accept the SNID. So this was the root of the problem.

  • Acer V7 ZQY: battery (AP13B8K) suddenly dead

    Hello

This laptop is a little more than a year.

The accumulator has been in charge of 30% to something like 70% when I realized that the percentage has not increased more.

I have read the information of the battery (charge status, tension etc.) but it did not and during the withdrawal of feeding, the laptop turns off immediately.

This happened a few months ago. I found a few discussions, saying it might be a bios problem, but the upgrade software does not run: he says that I have to have more than 30% battery left, and now the battery is below this level.

I removed the battery from the laptop and tried to activate it by putting a 100 Ohm resistor between the mass and the Green wire next to the red one (the battery sends a short pulse here every second). The tension on the thread is always zero. Then, either is not the correct activation method or the switch to solid state in the battery is dead.

When the battery is in the laptop, the voltage between the red and black wires is 0.8V...

So dead battery? BIOS problem (if so how can I put it?)? Failure of the motherboard?

Thanks in advance if you have any clues or tips...

    Benoit

    Hi Laurent,.

Thank you very much for your help!

I just got one installed a new battery I ordered on a Chinese online store (whose name contains battery shop and portable...). The battery has exactly the same reference (AP13B8K (4ICP6/60/80)). It has the same wiring, even sticker on the left (the mark of Acer wiith sticker is missing however).

It works: the laptop runs without power and electricity network it says that the battery is charging. I hope that it will last more than the first.

    Problem solved

  • The Acer M3641 will have a standard ATX power supply? My power supply is dead.

My M3641 does not start and it seems to be dead while it is turned off.  It was plugged and it started sparking and make loud pop.  I see no signs of a short circuit or damage the inside of the case, but I did not remove or open the power supply.  I think to replace, but I can't find all the information on the sites of Acer which would specify if a standard ATX PSU would work or if there are installation instructions I need.  Does anyone out there know about this?  Thank you.

OK, no answer here yet, so I had to make a decision.  I bought a ThermalTake TR2 430W ATX PSU (also shown on their Web site as W0070) and I replaced the power supply in my M3641.  It cost me $25 (after discount) at a local TigerDirect store (CompUSA was.)  I was shocked (no pun intended) the degree of simplicity to install.  I was also shocked that he seems to have worked immediately.

First I disconnected the power of the unit and press and hold the power on button on the front of the PC (according to the instructions of Acer) to release any remaining electrical load (or so they claim).  I removed the 4 screws of the old PSU and slid the box out of the chassis Assembly while retaining all connected cables.  I found the best direction for the new PSU (fan stood in the same place, so the new power supply heat can be evacuated in the chassis, but the chassis is open enough and if the fan is drawing inside the PSU the air comes from the back of the unit (reasonably fresh air.)  It's the only way it would fit the attachment power cord located on the side of the draw.  The old power supply had the fan and the power cord on the same side attachment to the rear of the chassis).  Note that it is possible that the fan is fan in the power supply and the back.  I do not know.  In any case, I had no choice about the direction.

I unplugged the old PSU connector and replaced it by plugging the connector corresponding since the new power supply.  I did step by step, a connector at the same time, check first to make sure I knew exactly where the connector has been set and what was the orientation.  In each case, I checked to make sure that the paired wire color coding.  In some cases, there was an extra wire on the new connector, but all the others were corresponding to the color and orientation.  I had a square connection 4 pins which does not correspond to the form of any connector again, but the new PSU was a rectangle connector 8 this divide into two 4 pin and I joined an of these.  The main connector has been 24 pins and the new PSU gave me an option of 20 or 24 pins.  Once again, no problem.  I noticed that one of the connections of the old PSU was actually two connections separated on a single cable, so I simply repeated with the new power supply, which included two cables multiconnector just for this purpose.  I used one of those for the two connections (hard disk, I think) and the other for a single connection, probably for the optical drive.

The old power supply was now completely detached.

After checking that all the screws and connectors have been secured, screw the plate chassis and to make sure the PC is properly delivered together, I plugged it in the end of the power cable supplied with the new power supply with the power off PC switch.  Then I plugged the other end of the power cable on my PS backup APC no explosion yet, so I went the new PC button power on / off to we.  Still no spark, so I pressed the button on the front of the PC and voila, it lights up and started.  Everything seems fine.  It seems to work normally.  If I encounter problems such as overheating, I will update this post.

  • How can I convert my 100 games flash (actionscript 2.0) in HTML5 now that swiffy is dead?

Unfortunately I didn't swiffy would be killed until August.  I have a lot of games I built using flash with actionscript 2.0, and I do not know now how to export to HTML5 without swiffy.  Someone at - he found a solution?  Adobe has a solution for us?  Singular video showing how convert a very basic adobe HTML5 flash ad is no help to those who have made the beautiful games and complex using flash with actionscript 2.0.

I'm excited about learning all these new languages like actionscript 3.0 which is not at all compatible with actionscript 2.0, but I have to convert my current games in HTML5 first before you spend another few years learning a new language.

I didn't adobe address this problem that many people, but I found an application called flaexporter that only works on flash cc.  I don't have flash cc, and it seems not available for download as a "past/old version" of my adobe creative app download.  Is there a way to download this older cc flash application, so I can export all my games to HTML5?  I don't want to lose years of game development just because swiffy disappeared.

I have the cs adobe complete with all applications to update software including cc lively.  Unfortunately, animate cc seems unnecessary, because when I try to open one of the games I put years of work into, he destroys this game completely.  When I publish the game, it does not at all.

I create games for education and had used swiffy and flash because they were easy for a designer like me to use.  I'm not a high level programmer, but I've always been able to create and edit flash.

1 animate cc told me that only a3.0 files can be imported and still work.  So, how to export actionscript 2.0 to actionscript 3.0 using the flash c6s that always works on my laptop?  I don't see the option export for actionscript 3.0 in flash c6s, and I do not see the option "successfully" import ActionScript 2.0 cc animate.  Is there something I'm missing here?   Someone at - he found a solution to this problem?

    2. instead of trying to figure out how to export a2.0 a3.0, just so that I can open it to animate cc, then export to HTML5, is there an easier way - similar to swiffy, who has ignored all these steps your time?

If anyone has an answer, thank you!

  • Qosmio F10-100 - dead graphics card

I bought the laptop Toshiba Qosmin F10. He has a dead graphics card. The graphics on these phones built on the motherboard or are they separated.

    Where can I get one?

    Thank you

Unfortunately, the replacement of the graphics card is not easy or impossible.
To my knowledge, especially the whole motherboard must be replaced.

However, you should definitely contact the authorized service provider in your country for more details and for fixing

  • the envy 100 printer screen is partly dead (has stopped working)

E screen has a problem. the bottom of the screen in part went dead the bottom to wy about half to the top of the window. This dead zone seems to be getting bigger.  The printer is atill impression, but the "copy" button and other actions went walkabouts!

    Hi gaorr,

I understand that the display does not work.

I'll be happy to help you.

Make sure there is no damage to the power cord and it is connected directly to a wall outlet.

The printer should not be exposed to an electric or magnetic field.

I would like to do a hard reset of the printer.
While the printer is still on, unplug the power cable to the back of the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait 10 seconds and connect the power cable to the wall then the back of the printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • Acer R7-572 blue light, dead?

    Hello

    Probably BIOS problem?
When I press on the power of the blue LED turns on for 8 seconds, nothing comes on the screen, the fan does not start. I tried replacing the RAM, WIFI and HARD drive, still nothing. When you connect the power supply, it is the battery. You can see by the orange light. If we try to turn it on, same thing, 8 seconds of blue light.

I also did a video, please it mute and simply read the annotations

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=hqSJ38ozNVA

It worked very well for a long time, I edited UEFI via windows. And no doubt it bricked when I pressed the button on the battery on the bottom of Acer.

Believe it or not, I was ready to Flash the bios with the programmer. But before he unsolder, I unsolder the battery and just gave him a fire and connected to the power supply and press on the power button and it turned on!

So I soldered the battery in place and it works perfectly fine now. I have no idea how how or why it happened but unsoldering battery wirked for me and the problem was not the corruption of the bios as I initially suspected.

Very weird. But thanks for the help.

    Hi people,

I have this laptop for a few months now, and it's fair to work propperly. I discovered that there is a problem with the drive HARD and WIN 8. I found solutions that does not entirely solve the problem.

One of them that has solved a bit of the problem is disable superfetch and search Windows.

I have a few major questions on the games. The laptop seems to have big problems with the management of the game. It is a lag, even the less graphically heavy game. Nothing works well. If this is also a problem with this disk, why is still in this laptop?

I really hope that someone can help me with this problem or I don't see alternative that I must return this laptop and hoping to get a refund.

Thanks for the idea. I discovered that my GPU drivers were gone or something. Also the problem with the games lag is fixed. Took time, but the problem was nvidia Optimus. My steam game were played on my Intel HD4600 . Optimus has not begun my Nvidia card.

    Thanks again for the response
