2010 DAQmx drivers remove 8.2 drivers

I recently installed Labview 2010 and I just noticed that I have more DAQmx drivers to 8.2. I need support legacy applications in my environment of 8.2. I just need to reinstall the older DAQmx drivers? Experience tells me that it will hang by the most recent drivers.

Hi Brian,.

I am pleased to bring you this to - it seems that there are two potential product advice must be here:

1. ADE DAQmx support for older versions of LabVIEW

2. the ability to have multiple versions installed simultaneously DAQmx

Nature of being both a hardware driver DAQmx API, #2 is probably a bit impractical.  I see #1 as a starting point for the discussion.  If you had the opportunity to update the kernel and API components for a compatibile with the latest LabVIEW version, but at the same time to keep the support of the API for older versions of LV not officially supported by the last DAQmx?

I do not understand the situation you are facing, and I wish there was an easy solution.  For your whole particular of ADEs (LV LV 2010 8.2), you should be able to use DAQmx 9.1.5, but once LV 2011 spell (for example) you will have the same problem again.

I encourage you to take the time to post a (or both) of the two suggestions above for the Exchange of ideas that I would be interested to continue any discussion.

Good thing NOR is followed pages they have where they display this information in the case, he would get real confusion.

Speaking of confusing information, the two seemingly identical KnowledgeBase article a wrong shows that DAQmx 8.9 supports LV 2009 (8.9.5 was in fact the first version compatible with LV 2009).  Information will soon be corrected and the KBs will be grouped in one article.  I guess it never does hurt to check the readme file for this type of information for a particular version of DAQmx you are interested to be on the safe side.

  • Windows 7 XPS and OneNote 2010 Printer Drivers not installed

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and Office 2010 beta on a gateway M285-e. I can't print XPS or OneNote 2010 file. When I go to check the properties of the printer, I get an error reading:
"The 'send to Microsoft OneNote driver 2010 Driver' (or"Microsoft XPS Document Writer") is not installed on this computer."
He asked if I would like to install the driver. If I say yes, it takes me to the Add Printer Wizard. Where is this driver? Why these drivers would not be in the operating system if the printer is installed by default?

After asking a few friends and family about the suggestions I found the solution to my problem. Apparently the driver "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" had for some reason any been uninstalled. Do not know why. I was able to reinstall the driver after Microsoft had it implemented as a physical printer on a custom port. To install I had to find the brand and model of the printer (make: 'Microsoft'; model: "Microsoft XPS Document Writer") in the master list in the Add Printer Wizard and complete the wizard. This fixed the problem of the XPS Document. It also fixes printing on printer OneNote 2010 as well. I was never able to find the driver to print to OneNote feature, but apparently the feature depends on printing on XPS document printer. Setting the XPS print driver paper fixed both of my problems.

  • DAQmx statements without DAQmx drivers loading on target PC cause fatal

I have a class with DAQmx statements.  If the application is installed on a system without Measurement & Automation (MAX) and support for the installed dryers, just instantiate my class causes my application to plant.

How to catch the error or check if DAQmx will work before my class instantiation?

    Some examples of statements:

Counter0BufReadTask private as task = Nothing

Counter0BufRunningTask private as task = Nothing

Private counter0BufReader As CounterReader = Nothing

Private counter0BufCallBack As AsyncCallback = Nothing

Private counter0BufAr As IAsyncResult = Nothing

    Hi fjm1,

One thing you could do is to include the runtime configuration OR-DAQmx with your Installer.  It is a reduced version of DAQmx and keep your application from crashing. Your final statement is the other option.

  • 2010 mosaics artifacts removal process

I love the new Version of process of 2010. New algorithms are certainly give superior results, but I came across the image of one of the problems. This is a picture of very high frequency on a 5 d (original, not the mark II). In the images below, you will see screenshots, 100% and 200% of the old process and the new process. The new process is much sharper and more detailed, but you see what is clearly an error in the yellow/green leaves (it can be seen at 100%, but it is more visible in the version of 200%) withdrawal of the mosaics. It is an image that I met so far that illustrates this problem. And no, adjust the sliders of the noise reduction does not help.

    Old method New, 2010 process
    old100.jpgnew100.jpg
    old200.jpgnew200.jpg

Yes, quite as much as I expected... we must ask to sharpen a lot more in 2003 process to overcome the noise reduction in the demosiacing...

For the 2010 process, try amount 35, RADIUS:. 8, detail: 35, masking the 15 and 20 of Luminance. The rest default.

The bottom line? The numbers you were using more sharpened the image in the process of 2010 compared to 2003 process. As with any control in Camera Raw/Lightroom, too much of anything can be a bad thing.

  • How to install LabView Run-Time 2011 silently without removing daqMX?

I'm trying to silently install LabView 2011 execution using the Agent HP Client Automation, formerly RADIA.  I tested successfully, however, the systems that installed daqMX have, I find that the silent installation program removes daqMX automatically.  Is there a command line argument or register defining who can defeat this behavior so that daqMX remains installed when the silent installation program is finished?  Thank you very much for your help!

    Hey EricJay,.

I'm not very familiar with the Agent, HP Client Automation, but the silent installation should not automatically uninstall the DAQmx drivers. You can compare the process HP Client Automation Agent uses with a silent installation using command-line arguments, as described here. Another possibility could be any conflict check that the HP Client Automation Agent performs. As described here, we do not recommend installing DAQmx drivers until LabVIEW or LabVIEW runtime engine are installed to prevent contradictions or missing references. If HP Client Automation Agent is to detect these potential conflicts so we can uninstall the DAQmx drivers for conflict prevention. I hope this helps!

  • MAX corrupt? error-88302, list of odd DAQmx devices

My ATE has stopped working Sunday morning with an error (I didn't witness) which led me to a corrupted driver OR DMM.  I had this happen a few times before, so I fixed (to the MAX).  This does not solve my ATE.  The sequence of events becomes blurred here, but at some point scroll sequence TestStand helped me to find that the PXI-2570 was not exploited.  I got an error message which suggested that the MAX database was corrupted, so I deleted the data folder and restart without solving my problem.

The configuration in MAX shows a difference between this date and an equivalent system:

Note that there are no green glyph near the PXI-2570.  That's what I'm focusing on today.  Also, why this device does not appear in the tree view on the left?  He does his sister ATE.  I swapped with a good map and it has not improved.

I reinstalled 8.9.5f7 DAQmx because research on one other error (-88302) suggested that it would help.  There can be no.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Jim,.

You are right that the PXI-2570 modules should appear under DAQmx devices.  This leads me to believe that the DAQmx driver is not installed correctly.  One possibility is that you have two different versions of DAQmx installed in different locations on your machine (Yes, it is possible .)  DAQmx is not designed to work with the instances simultaneously and is probably confused, thus failing to load the 2570... Unfortunately, this theory is not bullets, as the DAQmx 6233 is picked up correctly, but all bets are off when there are several DAQmx drivers installed.

My first recommendation is to remove all the DAQmx facilities, check that there is no "DAQmx" installed in MAX version and then reinstall the original version of DAQmx on your ATE... no need to change the SW.  If this does not work, step up and functioning more simple troubleshooting is the image of the ATE from another machine.  Of course, this does not determine the root cause, but I think there is a change of configuration of the software.  In this case, the 88302 error internal NOR-ORB and should not be sent to the user in the first place... so I would say something is crazy with your installation DAQmx.

  • PXI-5112 with XP, LV 2010 (and the determination of review)

Just found an old PXI-5112. I could do great with this card things if I could make it work.

When I first plugged it to my PXI chassis, it was detected in MAX as a device of NOR-DAQ traditional with the latest version of NOR-DAQ traditional (7.4.4). However, when I tried to open a test Panel on this subject, I received a message that the device "failed the test". If I open the Panel test in any case, I get an error-10840 (soft error).

I called OR support on this subject and the engineer found this article in the knowledge base for me:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/E956B50E8E0FC44E86256B030062CA2E

I then tried to determine my Board review. I read the first issue I've found which corresponded to the model. It was on a sticker on the side rear of the Council and read "702864 A-01". This vignette, we determined that my Board is A revision.

I tried following the advice that knowledge base article and install OR-DAQ 6.7.0 and 1.6 NO-SCOPE. With this combination, I can load up the SCOPE screws with LV 8.2.1, but when I try to run an example VI on my device, "DAQ::6", it fails to initialize the jury with "method or function not defined", or something like that. With NEITHER-DAQ 6.8.1 and 1.6 NO-SCOPE, I get a lot of impossible to find DLL errors attempting to perform the SCOPE of EIS. With NEITHER-DAQ 7.4.4 and 1.6 NO-SCOPE, I get the same old "Undefined function or method. If I try to run the VI on the wrong channel, like "DAQ::1", I get 'Device does not exist', he seems to recognize the device, just not being able to do something with it.

I'm about to give up on this, but I just realized that there are FIVE different numbers printed on my Board which match the pattern in this knowledge base article.

White sticker on chip on the back: 702864A - 01 Copyright 2000 NI

Yellow sticker on chip on the back: 703058A - 01

Printed in black on the login Panel: C 186030-01 REV1

Printed in white on the back of the PCB: 184196E-01

Printed in white on the front of the PCB: ASSY184194E-01

There is also a label with bar code with C3297D, which I think is the serial number. The guy NOR tried searching but couldn't find anything.

An interesting thing in particular on these numbers is that the ASSY184194E-01 contains the same exact number that is given as an example in this article in the knowledge base for a tray of Rev E: 184194E-01

I have two questions, if anyone can help:

    1. does anyone here have a PXI-5112, Rev A or one E, in no case to work in Windows XP?

    2. which one of these numbers should I trust to identify revision of my Board? It seems like that might be either A, C or E.

    Thank you!

    Max

    Hey Maxwell,

You are right that the serial number is C3297D, and the part number for the Board should be 184194E-01, indicating that it is revision E and is a module of 16 MB/ch PXI-5112. When you got the error, you said you had traditional-DAQ 7.4.4, but I'm not clear what version of NOR-SCOPE, you had. OR-SCOPE has been installed in the system at this time?

If you plan to run this Board in LabVIEW 2010 on a Windows XP-based computer, you need to install OR-SCOPE 3.6.2 in order to get all the support you need. As long as you are running a 64 bit OS, the PXI-5112 should function normally. OR-SCOPE 3.6.2 is the oldest version of the driver that will support LabVIEW 2010 (it will support LabVIEW 8.5.1 and more later). Seems to me that previous errors, you have been doing are the result of incompatibilities between versions of your different software/driver. If you install this latest version of NOR-SCOPE, it must include all the right support you need (traditional-DAQ 7.4.4, OR-SCOPE 3.6.2 support for LabVIEW 2010, NOR-DAQmx 9.1.5, MAX 4.7, etc.). Unfortunately, the only way to get NO-SCOPE 3.6.2 is through the CD August 2010 device drivers (DCD). Once you start the installation, you can select always right to install NO-SCOPE and not the rest of the drivers in the package if you do not want. Of course, having the latest updates of all might not be a bad idea, or if you want to just install everything.

Moreover, all the part numbers you listed (except the last) are parts numbers for specific elements of the PXI-5112 (Panel connection, the real PCB, CPLD chip, etc.). The assembly number is the one you are looking for. Sorry for the confusion.

    Best regards!

  • Impossible to get more than 1 channel to read with DAQmx cDAQ-9172 under Windows 7

I have the cell load, voltage, and input thermocouple connected to a cDAQ-9172. My sensors entries have been scaled and verified in MAX, and all of them work.  DASYLab 13, the driver is "dcDASY.dll" and the hardware configuration is "NI MAX.

When I add a task NEITHER-DAQmx Analog Input (that is, a set of scales) it appears correctly. If I add a second channel of the task and select it, I get this message:
'Channel of task name saved with the module is not available. DASYLab resets the module parameters for usable first channel name task. »
The name of the task remains the same for each new channel I have Add. If I change the name of the task by using the tab to the drop down menu, it says:
"You have configured several ways out for the module. If you modify the task, you lose the settings. You want to change the task? »
Both display the same data channels, and I can't work simultaneously several channels. It seems I missed something obvious, but I can't.

    The parameters are:

    Measurement and Automation Explorer 4.6.1
    NOR-DAQmx 9.0

    Material:-cDAQ-9172
    Slot 1 - NOR 9215 (0-10 Vdc analog voltage)
    Slot 2 - NEITHER 9211 (thermocouple)
    slot 3 - NI 9481 (relay)
    slot 4 - NI 9237 (entry deck w / excitement)
    housing 5 - OR 9402 (DIO)
    slot 6 - NI 9263 (0-10 Vdc output analog)

    Thank you

You can't perform different tasks (continuous) HERE on a single chassis. The first tasks that starts will be 'the resource booking '.

Combine the AIs of the various modules in a single task (see photo): start by creating the task of thermocouple. Then add AIs 9237 (e.g. Kraft) and 9215 (volts) using the button with the blue, symbol. Set the mode of synchronization of the task of "continue". Save the task, start DASYLab (second photo).

Change a task (adding channels, etc.) to the MAX while DASYLab works always, will result in unexpected behavior. To synchronize the configuration of MAX with DASYLab, you will need to close/restart DASYLab or use the 'sync' of the function (see photo 3 "syncmax.jpg"). You can set this function as a shortcut by right-clicking on one of the eight green or grey circle things.

You should think about an update of the MAX/DAqmx drivers. 9.x is a little outdated.

    Updated at least DAQmx 9.9, better 14.x or 15. 0 (stay far 15 1.x).

  • NOR-DAQmx on an Asus eeepc 900?

Did someone already used an eeepc 900 with DAQmx drivers? I would use this ultra compact pc for CQI data.

PC will be running a lite version of XP.

Programs could be compiled Labview 8.5 or Visual Studio 2005 with soul Studio.

Material would be USB-6211 or 6212 which all require two pilots DAQmx.

M is concerned that the pc has a limited memory and the DAQmx isn't the lightest eater. There is no way I could install the driver as a whole package. Is there a way I could install enough the DAQmx to spin these two DAQ cards? There will be no development program on this machine. Just race programs compiled.

You probably want DAQmx 9.4 Core Runtime, which includes only drivers DAQmx and support libraries. It does not include things like support of environment of LabVIEW Development, documentation, or measurement and Automation Explorer.

  • NOR-DAQmx compatibility with the system in real time

I try to use a time system 11 with LabVIEW Real-time. When I try to connect with the driver OR DAQmx, an error saying that the version of the NOR-DAQmx drivers are bundles with the one on the real time. I tried to use different versions of the NOR-DAQmx drivers that are available in the table of compatibility, but not those who worked. I have an old computer working with the same real-time system that uses LabVIEW 9 and has the driver NOR-DAQmx 9.3.5 f0 driver installed on it but I can't find the drivers on the web. What should I do?

I am using LabVIEW 2015 in my current computer.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like you can just have a lag in the versions of software installed on your host computer and the target.  In order to deploy the code from your host to your target, the two must have corresponding to libraries of functions.  See this link for instructions on updated versions of the software on your target match those installed on your host computer, the wizard of the LabVIEW RT software.  If you have already done this, and it did not help, please provide a screenshot or error code of the message that is to appear.

  • DAQmx folder in missing \vi.lib\

I'm trying to run DAQmx screw on a new install of SP1 LV2014 (DAQmx drivers 14.5.1) but the installation does not create the DAQmx folder in the vi.lib so my screws (developed on another machine) cannot find screws required DAQmx. I also have a LV2015 installation on the same computer where the DAQmx drivers are installed and working (and the folder in the vi.lib also exists). Any suggestions on how to get the driver working on my installation of LV2014?

    fgeldmacher wrote:

Solution was to install the 2015 driver again package and reboot. Thank you

The key is to remember is that the pilots NOR will detect that you have installed the programs.

If you install a new version of LabVIEW after NOR-DAQmx, you must repair the installation of the NOR-DAQmx driver so that it can detect that you have now new version LabVIEW and so install the needed drivers.
