230W Docking Station

I am trying to connect two external monitors to 230W Docking Station (VGA and DVI).  Each connection will work, but the two do not work at the same time.  Two external monitors are not supported on this doc?

Hi ECMA-gs,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP 230W Docking Station with more than 1 monitor. Here is a link to a document on the connection of a monitor to a laptop. Here is a link to show you connect to more than 2 monitors connected to your laptop.
Note your computer laptop screen counts as 1 monitor.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

  • 3 displays with my HP ProBook 6470b 230W Advanced Docking Station

    Hi all

I recently got a new HP ZR2440w monitor that I would like to joing my whole upward.

Here is my current set up:

HP ProBook 6470b 230W Advanced Docking Station + an HP L1950 monitor.

My office is extended from the laptop to the Monitor HP L1950, giving double me poster.

I would like to extend my desktop to the new monitor HP ZR2440w giving me 3 displays (laptop display + HP L1950 monitor HP ZR2440w monitor)

For example, my question is: when I extend laptop to ZR2440w so that already granted to L1950 the ZR2440w does not connect.

Note: I the ZR2440w connected to the docking via Display Port and speak it L1950 via DVI.

I also tried both monitors on DVI.

I tried the software graphics intel installed on my laptop but when the laptop lid is opened it will only connect to one of the external monitors.

What I read I can only support 2 screens at the same time, but I feel like it rather kill to have so many display on the docking station ports and cannot use a while the laptop lid is open.

    Any help is greatly appericated.

    Thank you

    Steve.

Yes, this was a limitation for awhile. The video controller in the laptop is the pull-out to the dock and it is capable of only configuration "dual head" If you get the screen of the laptop and the screen more.

  • Connection of 3 monitors at a HP 230W Advanced Docking Station (NZ223AA)

I am the proud owner of (3) HP 2711 x LCD screens.  Is it possible to connect all 3 of these screens simultaneously to one soon to buy, HP 230W Advanced Docking Station (NZ223AA), using a combination of DVI-digital (2)-24 pin digital DVI connections and that of DisplayPort - 20 connections DisplayPort pin with a DisplayPort to DVI adapter video adapter converter display adapter? or is there an another/better way to do it?

    Thanks in advance!

Okay, it looks like with tha model you choose Intel graphics card or ATI.  I can't determine that you have chosen, but we know Intel only supports two and from the specifications for the ATI page looks like it only supports 2 as well.  Here is the link:

  • Compatibility of P50 docking station

    Hello everyone,

    Recently, I bought a P50 (i7-6700HQ, 16 GB RAM, M1000M, 256GB SSD), and now I would like to add a docking station.

In all stores I've looked at so far, it is stated that only the version more great 230W named 'performance dock' or 'Workstation dock' is compatible with the P50.

Can I really not only use the templates 'pro' (90W) or the 'ultra' (135/170W) cheaper?

    Thanks in advance!

To find what Lenovo accessories, including the docks are not suitable to your model, please visit the Web of Lenovo of Quick Pick page.

Here is the link for accessories P50, which has two options for the dock: http://lenovoquickpick.com/usa/system/thinkpad/p-series/p50#allaccessories

  • Removable disk does not remain mounted (HP EliteBook & advanced Docking Station)

    Hello

I have a 8560 that connect me to HP 230W Advanced Docking Stations to each of my two workplaces. The 8560 p has a SSD drive and I use an identical SSD in the Bay of the docking station, which I use for automatic backups (I spend the SSD between two docking stations when I move locations) eSATA.

It works very well at the start. After loading the disc, it is recognized by the Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology and presented as an "external drive" in the application of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology against the port of relevant (3). I can also see it in Windows Explorer and use it and work of backups when manually initiated.

However, after a period of inactivity SSD in the docking station is 'removed' by Intel Rapid Storage Technology (pop up says that he has been removed from Port 3). If I go into the application of the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology, it reports the port (Port 3) as 'empty '.

I have to remove and reinsert the SSDS to get the Intel Rapid Storage Technology and Windows technology to recognize it again. It means always to my backups automatic (they are planned for the night) in case of failure.

How to stop the disc being dismantled? I need that remains mounted until I have to physically remove or disconnect the laptop.

I am running Windows 7 and have applied all updates of current Windows (using Microsoft Update) and HP (using HP Support Assistant).

The SSD is a Crucial M4-CT512M4SSD2 (512 gb) firmware version 0009 (I'm aware that this is a firmware updated version and am upgrading, but don't think it is relevant to my current problem)...

    Thank you

    Nigel

    Problem solved.

The issue was the Crucial SSD firmware.  V0009 I had apparently has a known problem with the recovery of unexpected power loss.  When the laptop slept or the HD has been disabled by the energy saver, it was not handled properly and the SSD froze.

The SSD to 0040H firmware update solves the problem.

  • Grateful two monitors on a docking station

For some reason windows is not recognizing my two monitors I have connected to my HP NZ223AA 230W Advanced Docking Station.

I use Windows7 64 bit on an HP EliteBook 8560w with an AMD over-pants m5950 graphic card.  As near as I can tell the docking station allows the two DVI ports to use as well as the grahpics card is good for multiple monitors.

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a third monitor?  In other words, I have my laptop connected to a station host and then two other monitors for a total of three.

    Thank you

Cannot be done. The graphics card is soldered to the motherboard.

  • What HARD drive is compatible with HP 120W Advanced Docking station (NZ222AA)

Please tell me that HARD drive is compatible with the Bay of integrated upgrade HP 120W Advanced Docking Station (NZ222AA) SATA... I can't find the info nor in the manual the user, or from the HP site. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Please check this:

While neither station can be upgraded, both have a Bay of upgrade which allows you to install an additional hard drive. If you choose to install the additional drive, you will add additional gigabytes to your current mobile storage space. However, if you choose to take advantage of the extra space, a standard hard drive does not fit into the Bay to upgrade. HP offers a hard drive 500 GB, specially designed for the upgrade on the 120W and the 230W Bay; You must order the HDD upgraded through HP.

  • MacBook Air for Docking Station connection problem

I am trying to connect a MacBook Air to another monitor via a Kensington docking station, but they do not communicate. The additional monitor is sent immediately to sleep. If I connect Air to the monitor directly everything works fine, but I want to simplify my life with the docking station. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, I understood the question. It seems that the original DisplayLink software I was using was not correct. After connecting with Kensington, they gave me info on a new beta driver and it works fine.

Is there an adapter that will allow you to listen to music using the new ipod touch on a docking station that have the card that fits the older ipods?  I'm not warned, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Docking station and of the menu bar does not appear automatically

    Hello

I have some problems with the bar menu and Dock not appearing not to when the cursor is hoisted at the top and the setting up of the docking station...

It appears in the Security Mode.

In addition, the windows in Mission Control shows either, when you place the cursor at the top.

I tried to kill the Dock. Finder and Menu bar in the Terminal with the command 'killall '.

speculate as to what is wrong?

    -Kasper

You can stop the process force using the background activity monitor utility. Just find the process Dock (sort the list of processes by name), or use the search box at top right, select, and then click the button exit (the icon is an 'X' in an octagon) in the upper left corner of the window of the activity monitor. It will ask if you want to make a normal Quit or force him to leave.

  • The docking station uses Henge drivers?

Is the Henge dock just a cable Organizer? -Seems all that is material.

Or I need specific SOFTWARE drivers so that my Henge Dock to exploit 100% as expected?

I use the Version B Henge Dock for my MacBook Pro 17-inch - and it all works when it is plugged.

I just want to know if I'm missing out on something?

    THX

Henge Docks are just a docking station, no software required, and any other features. Make sure to work your hard MBP while closed but, I think that life has been shortened on my Macbook, because it has been used mainly in the dock and couldn't cool properly with the lid closed all the time. The logic board failure.

  • No sound docking station line out

HP Elitebook 8540p, HP Docking Station VB043AA #ABA, Windows 7 64-bit. audio output works very well for a portable loudspeakers and headphones for laptop; When I plug the speaker docking station output cable, the sound continues to come from the internal speakers. When I right click on "speaker" icon and select 'reading devices' I see ' speakers / HP ' and "headphones (RTC)" but I see no option to upgrade to the alignment of the docking station.

problem solved! labels (and the documentation of the docking station) apparently are back! with the arrow pointing TOWARDS the hole is the LINE-OUT. I can only assume the other jack would be online but I have not tested. someone fell asleep for a while on the Assembly line because my co-workers with the same platform with the same problem. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but don't "arrow pointing away from jack" = "line out" = "jack speaker?

  • Satellite click Pro P30W-2B - the docking station battery not charging

    Hello

I have a Satellite click 2 Pro 30WB; at first, I didn't have any problem with this product, but a few months does not charge the battery of the docking station. I am able to load only the Tablet battery.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

Hmm... If this problem has appeared since the first day of the purchase, the home question battery might be related to battery failure.
In this case, you will need to contact the service to fix.

But just one question: it's your BIOS up-to-date?
Check the update in the station of service and if available new version of BIOS; try to update the BIOS to the latest status.
