Hello

Please report the number of HP for your PC product. How to find the model number of HP and the HP product number or leave model number HP automatically find your PC and HP network attached printers. This will allow others to review your question, make suggestions and review your answers. It is usually the best way to get help.

The 500 inverter WILL have nothing to do with the NVIDIA graphics card.  However, UPS, run time may be shortened according to the overall power load.  If the 750 replaces a higher power graph card then the operating time could be extended.

Wil you need to open your PC and do some measuring inside.

Not every graphics card will work in any PC.  Know what the return policy is before you buy anything.

Do you think that you can help me with this?

    Thank you in advance, Dominic.

    Hi Vagr,

What is theMSI graphics cardyou are trying to use?  If so, review the video which is reported at Newegg. There's a switch on the card that will allow you to switch between UEFI and BIOS PCs.  See the image below.

If you have one of the models of games of the MSU N750 TI which has a PCI-E power connector 6-pin so be sure to provide the auxiliary power supply.

  • GTX 750 will not start with HP P7-1233w

    Hello

I use a desktop PC HP P7-1233w and the EVGA GTX 750 will start at the HP Logo blue screen and after about a minute it will boot to a black screen (and that's all). When I leave the card it starts very well. I know that my diet is very well that others have used a GTX 750 Ti with the same block of power SUPPLY HP OEM as mine.

When the system comes on, I hear the spinning card fans. So I don't know, it's getting power and video. I tried everything, including clear CMOS. I also started in Mode safe, off the map graphic, firm and installing the card. Just to get the same thing.

In my system motherboard is a MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine). I thought that it could have something to do with the UEFI settings and inheritance, but there is no option in the BIOS and there is apparently no updated BIOS for my motherboard.

If someone could help me, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

HP P7-1233w was released in may 2012, and HP has not started to ship full UEFI level consumer computers to office until the middle of October 2012.

Modification on the motherboard to a card mother UEFI would require a new license of Windows 8. Windows 7 will not work in UEFI mode without some special hacks.

    Hello:

As far as the PCIe slot is concerned, the card should be fine.  The biggest problem I see is that if you put a much larger power supply that comes with additional PCIe power connectors that need to plug into the video card, there is no way this card will work on your PC.

    That's what worries me.

I have an Optiplex 7010.  I installed a PSU Corsair AX760i and have let it run for a week check that the upgrade has not created a new problem.

Now, I am trying to install a Zotac GTX 660 Ti video card.  It seems that the new video card is recognized as the graphic edge generates a video signal is no longer, but there is also NO signal through connectors DVI 660 GTX.  I've checked the tension on 2 power connectors 6 pins for the video card and + 12v is here.  Any ideas?

I had to modify the following parameters of the BIOS for the GTX 660 Ti Board to operate.

    General

    Advanced startup options

    X Enable Legacy Option ROM

    Secure boot

    Secure Boot Enable

    X disabled

After making these two changes, the video card GTX 669 it works now.

The video Commission works today, a new BIOS option appeared in which I allowed, as follows:

    Video

    Multi-display

    Enable multi-display x

At this point, I have now loaded the drivers for the new graphics card and everything seems to not work as desired.

I also noticed from another forum that he had questions about the "SERR Messages" BIOS option, it is ACTIVATED in my machine.

    Abestbeats, welcome to the forum.

People have problems with the 'GTX 750 Ti' model is because it requires UEFI firmware of the motherboard.  HP didn't start to fully use UEFI firmware until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was introduced in December 2011.

According to the maunufacturer of video card, they may have an update VBIOS to make your card works with your computer.  I know that the EVGA, for example, updates of specific cards.  You will need to contact their Technical Support for assistance.  In addition, you may need to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU) in the computer, if you haven't done so already.  It is 300W.

After this purchase pre-built Intel PC five or so years ago, it has graphic capeabilities are unfortunately insufficient for what I need. Long story short, I want to buy a new graphics card, but I don't know that the motherboard system takes care of everything. The card I currently have is a GT230 and I want to move to is the GeForce GTX 750 EVA and my motherboard is an MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) with an i7-860 processor. I can update without burning my PC?

    Thank you!

    Ranger_621, welcome to the forum.

750 GTX graphics cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Therefore, it would be incompatible with your computer.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.

If this isn't the case, could you please solve the problem for me. Because I believe that there is no problem with my PC hardware and it should work fine.

    Best regards and thank you

    Hi Ken,

Watch high aon back of the graphics card for a switch.  See the image below.

You should have received a leaflet in the box describing the use of the switch (legacy mode or UEFI).  If your PC is a version 8 HP BIOS then disable secure boot if set. If your PC isn't at the level of the BIOS version 8 and then the switch must be in position inherited.  The brochure should describe the use of the switch.

    Marc, welcome to the forum.

Yes, I think that your motherboard should be compatible with the video card.  The card requires UEFI in the motherboard and your mother should have.  Just be aware that the specifications concerning the State of the map that it requires only a power supply (PSU) with 300W power.  Many members have reported that it is rather 400W.  You can try with the current POWER supply, but if this does not work I suggest one made by Corsair.  I recommend at least 500W.
