Hello

I have an ENVY 27 inclination and I connected a second monitor with an adapter EVGA UV + 39

to a USB port.

I would much appreciate if you can tell me if the system supports an additional monitor to the other usb port or is there another way to have 2 additional monitors to my DESIRE to 27.

Thank you in advance for your support

  • Third screen is grayed out (laptop + 2 extra monitors)

    Hello!

Using two monitors for video editing for a while now and finally got rid of an old computer and I could save the monitor she (is be the exact model of the extra monitor I use already - Dell 1505FP). My computer is a mobile entertainment pavilion dv4-1465dx. I really wanted to do a 3 wide screen (Dell monitor on laptop from left, embossed in the Middle, Dell monitor on the right), but I've read that most of the consumer level graphics cards can not handle / made this extra monitor, but because I couldn't find the specifications for mine I assumed that since I have available ports I'm able to turn it on. Not to mention that the ethernet and card reader, I have:

    VGA

    This HP port

    HDMI
    ESATA

    2 additional USB ports

My current attempt use a monitor with a VGA connection and the other with a DVI to HDMI adapter cable. In Control Panel, I can see that the computer recognizes the third screen, but the image is dimmed and shows "disconnect this view." When I try to change it, it just comes back to the same thing and do not apply the changes. I can do all kinds of configurations - but that you are unable to accept all 3 as an extended display.

In the advanced settings (ctrl + alt + F12) it also doesn't let me all 3 at once, but one monitor arrives as "monitor Dell... "while the other rises as"digital display Dell... ". "Can this cause anyting to do with him?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is what I can do with my current available options or is there something I need to buy to do this?

    Thank you!

    Hello

A high-end gaming laptop will support 3 monitors (including the main screen). If you want to use the following specifications for 3 monitors OR video editing, you bought a bad machine:

  • my monitor is broken on my laptop and I connected an additional monitor. How can I get the extra monitor to work while not in safe mode?

Someone hit my monitor and broke. I connected a regular monitor, but will only work in safe mode. How can I disable the broken screen so that I can use my laptop?

Hi, try the normal mod F1, F4 or F5 Fn (function) button for the track changes and change the default monitor.

Safe mode, select monitors in Control Panel.

  • Edge E530 and double external monitor - possible?

I can't get two external monitors to work.

I have two dell monitors and connected my E530 via VGA to a.

I just bought another and it connected via HDMI - DVI Cable.   I can't believe the other to extend in the control panel of Windows 7.

The E530 drive only 1 external monitor?

    Any advice?

    Thank you

Well, he can drive 1 external monitor if your internal monitor is turned on. If you need to both player + 1 internal monitor monitors.

You would need a Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 docking station, which is capable of driving more than 2 monitors + 2 which you can control with the E530.

  • Additional monitor on 5 k iMac

I soon in the market for a new Mac and considering the iMac of 5K, well who wouldn't?

I currently have a Mac Pro (early 2008) and two Cinema Display 20 "with DVI connectors, which are always excellent and I love them. I would use at least one on them as an extra monitor on a new iMac. Can I do this? Am I limited to one or can I use all of them? And what kind of adaptors do I need?

    Thanks as always...

Problem solved with a visit to the Apple Store. The od monitors could be used by plugging a Mini Display Port DVI connector in each of the ports Thunderbolt on the iMac.

  • Adding a second monitor to HP Compaq Pro 6300 AiO

I would like to add a second monitor to my HP Compaq Pro 6300 AiO, but it doesn't have a RGB port. The extra monitor I want to add is the HP L1750, but I don't know what cable to buy or if it's possible?

The required cable is a displayport to VGA or DVI or HDMI connector to connect to a second screen with an HDMI input.

  • connect a 2nd monitor in order to expand the workspace

All the people who are sitting next to my wife to work hung a 2nd monitor at their consoles portable to give them the extra monitor space to work in. My wife now has a 2nd monitor and a cable which is necessary for the two screens can be connected at the same time - just as they are. They are all connected to the network at work.

But how she has set up in Windows? No work can tell her what to do to implement. Please be as specific as possible non-tech in your answer, that is, do not assume that I don't know!

Sorry if my post has been in the wrong place. It is a portable Windows XP which is a HP Elite. So, what do we do?

XP...  Make sure you have the same image on the computer laptop and external monitor by using the Fn + F toggle key that I mentioned in my previous post. Right-click on an empty area of the desktop.  Left click on properties.  Click the settings tab.  You should see two monitors.  Click on identify.  The external monitor should show that monitor 2.  Click on the representation of the screen on the screen.  You should see below just a checkbox to «Expand my screen...» ' check that, to ensure that the resolution above this area is compatible with the external monitor and OK outside.  You should now see the Office extended to the external monitor.  Windows can be slid toward the new monitor and used as an extension of the screen of the laptop.

Let me know if this can help, or if you have any other questions.
  • Using laptop with an additional monitor above. To set the default appearance as Monitor 2 above 1 monitor

I can set up my laptop with an additional monitor as extended desktop.  By going to the followed control panel display I can manually fix the default setting for the two monitors side by side, to have one on the other.

However, every morning when I do my laptop in to work and reconnect to the extra monitor I have to redo it.  Is there a way to set the default display settings so that it affects automatically two monitors as one above the other?

Using Windows XP Pro.  Help appreciated.

    Hi Andrew_Wright,

Windows XP does not record the settings once you unplug the extra monitor.

You can use some third party such as the software provided with the video driver software.

Use your favorite search engine to find all these software for you help.

Important: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. • additional monitor on the HP pavilion dm1 laptop?

You can run an extra monitor on the HP pavilion dm1 laptop? If so, how?

    Hello

It's very simple, you can buy a new monitor with HDMI (digital) or VGA (analog) port. As mentioned above, the HDMI is the way to go. Make sure that you have an HDMI cable.

Just connect the cable to the monitor & machine, start the machine and

    • Right-click on an empty area of the desktop
    • Select Customize,
    • Select display
    • Select change display settings

You should see 2 screens (1 # & #2). You can select one of the options in the menu drop-down.

  • Two monitors L2206tm - Windows 7 - can all both touchscreen make?

I didn't realize the L2206tm is a commercial monitor and I posted about it in the forum of home monitor products, then I copy the post here. I hope you guys can help me.

I have a custom desktop computer and I recently got two HP L2206tm monitors because they were on sale. My computer running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have two monitors connected USB ports on the desktop, but if I touch one of the screen of one of them, the click or scroll or any action that happens on the other monitor. Is it possible, and if so, what is the easiest way to set up two monitors to use the touch screen feature? Is there a software to help make this process easier?

AFAIK, you can't touch on two screens in the calibration mode. In Clone mode, it works; but it's probably not what you're looking for.

    You can try the below:

Use the 'Tablet PC Settings' in the ' Control Panel/hardware.  Under 'Display Options', select a touch screen, hit calibrate, move the text to the selected touch screen while pressing on enter (incase you have extra monitors) then MOVE your mouse to this screen and click on the text.   Then calibrate the monitor and following the instructions in the calibration.  Once the first monitor is installed, follow these instructions again for each additional touch monitor.

  • When I disconnect the monitor Samsung, laptop monitor loses the office.

I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite L645-S4102.  I have been using an external Samsung monitor for a while.  I need to use the laptop for a presentation only.

I can change to the screen of the laptop or use the Samsung monitor and the laptop monitor as long as my computer is connected to the Samsung monitor.

But, when I disconnect the monitor Samsung, laptop monitor loses the shortcuts on the desktop and the taskbar and shows only the background.  I tried to restart the computer, but the same thing happens.  As soon as I reconnect the Samsung screen, everything happens very well again.  Ideas please.

Start with the extra monitor connected and used.  Then go to your desktop and follow the instructions below:

    1. Click background, choose the resolution of the screen.
    2. In the graph at the top, click on your laptop screen (if you don't know who is who, click "Identify" and click the monitor displays on the screen of the laptop).
    3. Check the box "use as primary monitor" and then apply the change.

The bar of tasks and other items still show on the main monitor, so this will ensure that your laptop screen is considered to be the main.

If necessary (unlikely but it could happen), repeat these 3 steps again when the additional monitor is disconnected.
