When I disconnect the monitor Samsung, laptop monitor loses the office.

I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite L645-S4102.  I have been using an external Samsung monitor for a while.  I need to use the laptop for a presentation only.

I can change to the screen of the laptop or use the Samsung monitor and the laptop monitor as long as my computer is connected to the Samsung monitor.

But, when I disconnect the monitor Samsung, laptop monitor loses the shortcuts on the desktop and the taskbar and shows only the background.  I tried to restart the computer, but the same thing happens.  As soon as I reconnect the Samsung screen, everything happens very well again.  Ideas please.

Start with the extra monitor connected and used.  Then go to your desktop and follow the instructions below:

  1. Click background, choose the resolution of the screen.
  2. In the graph at the top, click on your laptop screen (if you don't know who is who, click "Identify" and click the monitor displays on the screen of the laptop).
  3. Check the box "use as primary monitor" and then apply the change.

The bar of tasks and other items still show on the main monitor, so this will ensure that your laptop screen is considered to be the main.

If necessary (unlikely but it could happen), repeat these 3 steps again when the additional monitor is disconnected.

    Computer: DELL Studio XPS 16

I encountered this problem with my Pavilion DV6 after upgrade to W8 64 bit as well and is more annoying than it should be.  For what it's worth, I opened the AMD Vision Engine Control Center and disabled the "Vari-Bright" option on the power tab and which seemed difficult to get the error message every time my laptop is unplugged.  Does not solve the underlying problem and will decrease my time unplugged a bit, but I can live with that.

Thanks for the steps, Amiarage.  Looks like we will have to just wait for ATI to fix.

    Hello

to unplug my laptop the plug rather than switch to the battery, my laptop turns off often simply even if the battery is fully charged. Other time things work as it should.

Maybe someone knows the solution for this problem?

    Hello Luke

As in the other topic described, you must communicate with the service and explain exactly what is happening. I fear that there may be something wrong with electronic power supply. We can just speculate on this.

I fear unfortunately there is nothing you can do alone.

  • How can you get rid of the media library of Pop - Up connection when you reach the office after turning on the PC?

I don't really know what I did but now I have a pop-up Windows Media Center appears asking to connect when I turn on my computer before it leaves me to the real office and I was wondering how to get rid of it, I can without quite easily but still, there is no need to when I just would rather it just do not attend all.

Open Media Center, go to: settings, general, startup and Windows behavior, uncheck, start Media Center when Windows starts.

  • Computer hangs at startup, when you enter the Office

I have a laptop Compaq CQ61. Whenever I connect to a profile, the computer crashes. I can't go on safe mode with network, no problem; but once I go on 'normal' start, it freezes almost instantly after logging into my account (there is no other account on the system). I tried updated/re-installing the drivers, but to no avail. I did an anti-virus (Avast) scan and nothing showed up. I run DirectX Diagnostic report, and he showed up nothing. Device Manager appears nothing unusual. However, Event Viewer gives me many mistakes in the critical, error, warning, Information, Audit success, Audit failure; However, none of them seem to directly affect the question of commissioning their playback (even briefly). Events that coincides with the start 'normally', according to the Manager of the events are wind ID 10-7000.

  • Barrage v860 cell vedio has no sound when played on the office window 7

No sound during video playback on computer, mobile phone Windows media player

    Hello

    1. What is the format of the video file you are trying to play?
    2. are you able to hear the sound when you play other videos in Windows Media Player?

It can happen when the mute is enabled in Windows Media Player or the required codecs to read
    the sound is missing.

I suggest to follow the steps below and we update on the State of the question.

Method 1: Control the volume slider in Windows Media Player and if it is set to low, increase it and check. Make sure that the sound icon is not depressed. This button is the button mute and will cut the sound.

Method 2: Check if you try to read the file format is supported by Windows Media Player or not.

If the file format is not supported, install check of the last codec.

  • My laptop screen becomes empty whenever I disconnect the plasma

Recently, I connected my computer laptop to LG plasma to see a movie (using RGB output) and changed the accodringly to display definitions. However, when I disconnected the cable from the laptop, the laptop screen became blank. When I reconnect the cable - I see the laptop screen (even if the plasma is off). Now I'm stuck to work with a cable connected to nothing...

When you restart the computer, I see the screen, it disappears when windows comes on.

I've redefined (by using windows + P) the computer screen only - did not help. I've updated the display adapter and monitor in Device Manager - did not help. No virus detected; Nothing to do with the BIOS...

    Win 7 Satellite A500 PSAM3A-03P00E.

Battery light flashes when connected to the power supply (intermittent fault), when I disconnect the sector and reconnect the flashing stops and battery (high capacity) continues to receive.

Also, when battery light blinks the keyboard backlight stays on when it should white and if the backlight is turned off and the battery light starts to blink the keyboard backlight turns on, all other functions seem to work well.

Charges of battery and the wedges load properly (when the battery flashes).

    Hello

Have you noticed this problem since the first day of purchase?
Theoretically, it could be possible that your battery begins to malfunction
On the other hand, an electrical problem could also be possible

    However, try this:
Remove the battery and the AC adapter. Then press and hold button power 30 sec long.
Then insert the battery and plug AC adapter still does that help?

By the way: this is the BIOS updated? If this isn't the case, perform an update.

  • Half the Office disappears when you unplug the external monitor

I have a MacBook (early 2011) with a single office shared between two monitors - with one hand on the internal screen and the other half on a Dell 23 inch. The Dell is my first when I use both at the same time. Until a few months ago, when I unplugged the external monitor, all windows automatically appears in the monitor to the laptop, including the menu bar and dock.

After an operating system upgraded a few dos systems (I'm on version of El Capitan.6), when I unplug the screen seems not to register - in other words, the left side of my office, including the menu bar and the dock, and all the apps that were there just to disappear. So my laptop seems to think that the other view is always connected and direct, unless I restart with the detached monitor. (I unchecked 'Displays have separated spaces') in Mission Control.

Is that what I can do to force the Office to redesign the internal screen? (Note that the display is a Dell S2330MX, which seem not to support any Mac OS - so who could answer the question here.) Thank you

I've known who issues from time to time, try to close and reopen the lid, which needs to redraw your office.
