[3.2.09] output truncated dbms_metadata
HelloSorry for my bad English.
Today I tried to use the dbms_metata package extract the list of privileges of the object for a user
As usual, I run the following command in sql develop:
long value 1000000000
exec dbms_metadata.set_transform_param (dbms_metadata. SESSION_TRANSFORM 'SQLTERMINATOR', TRUE);
Select dbms_metadata.get_granted_ddl ('OBJECT_GRANT', 'USER_TITI') of double;
but when I click on 'run script', the result is truncated.
I have the first line 60, with the latter truncated (missing comma)
(I check with sqlplus, with the same exact command, I have correctly to have 186 lines).
Another user has the same problem?

The result is of type CLOB data and there is a limit to how many characters that appear. You experience the same problem that others have when returning from CLOB data.
See this other recent thread for possible solutions

We test 12.1.0.2 Oracle and ODBC see problems with the stored procedure being cut output parameter values and Associates when we use the 12.1.0.2 driver (we use the 32-bit version). We see a function sequence error every time that happens, too.
For example, a stored procedure takes a NVARCHAR2 name and it out as a separate NVARCHAR2 output parameter. Using the 12.1.0.2 of the ODBC driver, if we "Basketball", the output can be "Basketball" (with a function sequence error).
What is happening to many of our stored procedures. We do not get the errors of sequence of function or output truncated if parameters we use the 12.1.0.1 version of the ODBC driver to connect to our 12.1.0.2 database, or if we use the version 11.2.0.4 or 11.2.0.2 ODBC driver.
Is this a known problem in the 12.1.0.2 ODBC driver?

The analysis of the output XML of DBMS_METADATA
I was wondering if someone managed to parse the output of DBMS_METADATA. XML in the columns of relational access to higher values of partition etc without the restrictions of data type LONG dictionary?
For example, I was hoping I could use something like the following to get the metadata of the partition for the SOMEPARTITIONEDTABLE table:
It gives me "ORA-00932: inconsistent data types: expected - got-SELECT EXTRACTVALUE(dict.xmlddl, '/ROWSET/ROW/TABLE_T/PART_OBJ/PART_LIST/PART_LIST_ITEM') FROM ( SELECT dbms_metadata.get_xml('TABLE','SOMEPARTITIONEDTABLE') AS xmlddl FROM dual ) dict;
It is not quite that simple, of course, because I actually checked out of/SCHEMA_OBJ/SUBNAME and /HIBOUNDVAL for each PART_LIST_ITEM, so I think I first need to break the XML into a PART_LIST_ITEMs XMLTABLE. Unfortunately, XML syntax makes my head ache.
The idea is that it would be useful in various maintenance tasks of partition such as archiving scripts without having to install a bunch of types and packages.You can try this:
SELECT x.* FROM XMLTable( '/ROWSET/ROW/TABLE_T/PART_OBJ/PART_LIST/PART_LIST_ITEM' passing xmltype( dbms_metadata.get_xml('TABLE','SOMEPARTITIONEDTABLE') ) columns obj_num number path 'OBJ_NUM', subname varchar2(30) path 'SCHEMA_OBJ/SUBNAME', hiboundval number path 'HIBOUNDVAL' ) x ;

DBMS_METADATA. GET_DDL - how it forms the exit
I call "DBMS_METADATA. GET_DDL' to get the source code for the package body, see example call below.
Can I be always sure that this will continue:
1 return the before schema name the name of the package as, for example, that: "MYSCHEMA". "" COLLECTSTATS ". Or can he return sometimes without schema/owner-name the name of the batch as a "CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY"COLLECTSTATS"IS".
2 he will always be in uppercase letters the part "owner.packagename"?
3 wil lthere always be quotation marks surrounding the package name and the name of the owner as "MONSCHEMA". "' COLLECTSTATS '?
select DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('PACKAGE_BODY','COLLECTSTATS','MYSCHEMA') from DUAL; Result: CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY "MYSCHEMA"."COLLECTSTATS" IS PROCEDURE save_log(p_logrec IN LiveStatsLog%ROWTYPE) IS
There are a number of things that you can control the output of dbms_metadata using the procedures of set_transform_param. Apparently, at least in 10G, is not one of them, even if I thought it was.
Consult the manual of the PL/SQL Packages and Types reference for your version of Oracle to see what is available.

How can I set the long data type by default
a query that I want to run:

I'm not sure but maybe I need set the long size before the race top query. But when I try to put long size gives below error. Also, I put below an explanation so help.

How to truncate the output of the field in the column "LONG".
Hi all
I have been asked to retrieve all records from a table with a column that has been initially formatted with the format "LONG".
How can I truncate the output of this area without having to show the Junk characters?
Very appreciated

Wrong forum!
This forum is ONLY for questions/problems on Sql Developer and your question has NOTHING to do with this product.
Please mark the thread ANSWERED and repost it in the SQL/PL/SQL forum.
When you repost you must SHOW an example of what you are wanting to do. You should also explain what you mean by 'LONG Format' - I have never heard such a thing.

Truncate output of analytical function?
For example this query:
Select month, sum (tot_sales) monthly_sales,.
AVG (Sum (tot_sales)) (any order by month
between 1 above and 1 below) rolling_avg
orders
where year = 2001 and region_id = 6
Group by month;
gives me an output which includes several decimal places for the rolling_avg column.
Is there a way to truncate this? I tried to use the rounded outside the analytical function and surely enough, it didn't work. I can't think otherwise.
You can use an external selection on the result of this query
select trunc(rolling_avg) from ( rolling_avg query);

Truncated in the output MP4 FLV files
I have half a dozen isnerted FLV in my presentation. They play very well when I published as a SWF project.
When I publish as MP4, FLV files is truncated; the last second or so are cut.
Saw nothing in that regard when searching.
Any ideas?
I like some time on the timeline plays FLV files.
On another less critical note, when published as MP4, loading the FLV is captured in the video. Cheesey.
OK, my bad. I inserted in the Media drop FLV files, as opposed to video > insert video. The diff between the video and the video of the event was lost for me somewehre along the way.
Not sure why the Media should get boogered up.

Topic get truncated when printing output
Hi all
We use oracle Forms 10g ratio. Recently, we migrated from windows to solaris.
Now, when we ran the report the Arab character get truncated in the label header and the column header label.
The label of real header was Ariel 12 "BOLD", when I change this label manually in Arabic traditional sound does not get truncated.
In windows, but its works very well.
Can you please what to do to avoid this truncation
Is it possible to changes in the files of the Uifont.
My fonts from the user interface file is like this

SQLPlus truncates output of sdo_geometry.get_wkt)

I'm just SELECT certain geometries in a text form WKT file. Here's my query:
As you can see the result WKT geoms get truncated after a certain length. I tried 'column wkt format a160' and ' set linesize 160 "but it doesn't change anything." Note I can't connect to the DB with SQLDeveloper - there is a firewall preventing that. SQLPlus via SSH only.

Hello. My HP Envy 5530 newly purchased printer truncates images captured from Snip, Snipping Tool and screen printing. Image appears perfectly when placed in MS Word, PowerPoint, MS-Paint, etc., however, when printing on the 5530 want appears the image enlarged, as well as 30% or more of the image gets truncated or cut off. I have tried other "resolutions" posted, but they do not work. I wasn't able to find a driver for the HP 9800, as suggested in another post (HP says it is not available). Everything worked before installing this HP 5530 (I used Lexmark printer). I am on Windows (to date) 10 MS Office 2007 and reinstalled Snip & Snipping Tool. I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP 5530 and I ran the Scan Doctor utility that will return no error found. Does anyone have a similar problem and especially a solution?
With no idea what you have tried (other "resolutions"), I offer the following to your attention:
- Ensure your PDF viewer / reader software is on the latest version available for your operating system. This is not negligible. Create a Restore Point before the update / modify the software system yiour.
- Never use copy - paste when you add images to your document (Word) > use Insert
- Control image format when you change the size of the inserted picture
- Consider "line spacing" when you insert a picture into the document using "tight" / options "Wrap Text".
- Keep the image within the borders of the minimum margin - if all else fails, change the margins in "Close" to give more images of space
- Consider that Office Word 2007 cannot respond to Windows 10 as expected
- Make sure that you allow updates include patches Office 2007 available (assuming these are available)
Help, suggestions and examples:
Manage the print with preview output before printing

- Preparation
Microsoft Office Word - Options, tips, Observations
- Images of Word / Art / words are chopped
- Adobe Reader DC
- Adobe Flash

Call to a single value to an output channel for A Table need help
I filled an array that contains all the values in all the channels of my series of data. I am now looking to channel calculations to provide weighted averages and an overall average for the value of the trial. These data will be produced in a new table called 'total table. " This Total table should only have one value per channel.
The question that I am running is 2 times. When you do the arithmetic channel, mainly channel using "ChnSum" DIAdem amounts does not truncate all data in a new set of data. It retains all values and adds the last block with the sum of all of the channel as a whole. I need or be able to get this last value dynamically (because not all my datasets are the same length) or I need to generate a new string that has only the value of the sum. Is there a way to do this?
Here is what I try to do but kind of pointless. A screenshot of what looks like the output of the table after treatment of this code is attached.
"Complete total table with values from calculations above.
For j = 1 to selectData.MultiSelection.Count
Counter = counter + 1
length = ChnPropValGet ("[" & selectData.MultiSelection (j).] ") Index & "] / Cumulative fuel ', 'Length')
If counter = 2 Then
[A bunch of calculations of the new output channels channel]
Call View.Sheets ("total table"). Areas ("field:" & Counter). DisplayObj.Columns.Add (ChnFind ("(" & selectData.MultiSelection (j). ("The index &") > 0 "(, longueur-1))"
End If
Next
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
~ Nate

When I export my TDR-report (test.tdr in attachment) to PDF I get only truncated reports (see testDIAdem2012.pdf in the attachment). Export to JPG or WMF format is OK. (see test.jpg in attachment). Even the printer output is as expected.
It does not matter if I use the Menu\PDF file to the export or the following code
Pads const = "C:\temp\test. TDR.
SPDF const = "C:\temp\test.pdf."Call PicLoad (pads-r)
PicWidthInScal = 29.7
PicHeightInScal = 21
PrintLeftMarg = 0
PrintTopMarg = 0
PrintOrient = "landscape".If FileExist (sPDF), THEN call FileDelete (sPDF)
PDFFileName = sPDF
PrintName = "winspool, DIAdem PDF Export"
Call PicPrint ("WinPrint")Truncated PicPdfExport results in the same report.
What can I do to get a whole PDF-report page?
GEMÜ
Hi GEMÜ,.
When chossing the pdf export as part of your report is printed. You can turn off the frame in page layout options.
Letter: Einstellungen > einrichten Layout > Layout-setting...
I've attached a screenshot of the box you need to uncheck.
If this does not resolve your problem, please do not hesitate to come back to me.
Kind regards
