30 Firefox unresponsive

Firefox seems to have stop at intervals and at random times. The only way to fix it is to stop the process in Windows Task Manager, and then restart Firefox. When I do Windows (XP) gives me a crash report that has no container Firefox plugin. Any ideas?

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission get full and unrestricted, access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Firefox unresponsive 22.0 + with Adobe Flash?

All versions of flash player in Firefox 22.0 RC, open with Plugin-Container. However, it makes firefox hang even on the best machine I can get my dirty little hands on. Flash Player objects do not show until either and when we try to interact with them, firefox hangs for up to 30 minutes before being able to interact with him. I had the same experience with Firefox Beta, Aurora and every night. I also tried using the 64-bit versions.

Hello, maybe there is a problem with the mode protected in the flash plugin - you could try if Disable protected mode makes a difference.

  • Firefox unresponsive or crashes every time that the computer running only firefox and explore has 5 GB of ram usage

I can't see more than about 10 pages without firefox crashing. I tried to use firefox in safe mode and it seems to work very well, but without stuff like ABP and my greasemonkey scripts, I feel that I work in the stone age. It started right after I've updated Windows, my video driver and adobe... I updated to the latest version of firefox subsequently assuming the bug was an incompatibility problem and found that did not fix my problem. In addition, he could have started before that I've updated things, it's just when I noticed the problem

    Thanks for any help.

    (1) would you try to disable graphics hardware acceleration? As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

    (2) try to disable the new Flash 11.3, protected mode of since this feature is currently being debugged. See this article from Adobe support under the heading of 'Last resort': Adobe Forums: how to fix protected Flash Player for Firefox mode?

  • Firefox unresponsive after downloading files

After I downloaded a file, Firefox is not responding and I have to wait for about 10 seconds before I can use it again.

This also happens when I use 'download all '.

That may be a problem with your software AV. Firefox let your antivirus by default analysis program the file after the download is complete.

  • Firefox unresponsive and just keeps buffering. I have to close and reopen it to use again. Ff48 OK but not FF49 or FF50.

Ff48 worked well. I've updated to FF49 and lived the first episodes of FF does not. Whatever it is but just rolled FF48 has not changed. Everything was good again. By releasing of FF50, I have updated and experiences the same thing - FF does not. Yet once, has not changed a thing, but rolled to FF48 and all is well again.

FF49 and FF50 enter this mode no longer once I find a flash program or see something on YOUTUBE. New - this does not happen to FF48.

This "not responding" fits like a blocking of the application in the system windows - event id 1002. He does not as an accident and does not generate a crash report.

    I am running in 64-bit Windows 10.

If it is on, and the Flash plugin is on and up to date, it is possible to disable the e10s until Napi plugins are not longer supported in two versions.

Or I can recommend to try the beta version of Firefox or Firefox Developer Mode in the meantime.

In order to change your Firefox Configuration please proceed as follows:

    1. In the address bar, type Subject: config , then press the enter key.
    2. The subject: config "this might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
Click on I accept the risk! to keep the comments: config page.
    3. You can search the e10s and extensions.e10sBlocksenabling set to false.
    4. Restart Firefox.
  • JavaScript causes Firefox to be unresponsive for a few minutes.

I have a form of Web site with a large amount of dynamically generated javascript that uses jQuery to handle events. When you click on the radio buttons in the form that Firefox 26 cross halfway then stop responding for about two minutes, while showing (not answer) in the title. If I go to: javascript.options.baselinejit.content config and disable the form works very well, if I turn this option FireFox unresponsive courses via the form. It started recently, but I don't know exactly what version is started on, Firefox 26 certainly has the problem for me. All extensions and plugins have been disabled and "Use hardware acceleration when available" is not selected. Also the form works fine in 31 Chrome, Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Hey keviga, would you be inclined to produce a new bug for that? You can reference the JavaScript baseline compiler as the problem. I guess that the tricky part is to find what is happening in your scripts that triggers the question.

  • After years of happily using Firefox, sudden, recurring disaster

I was mainly a user of Firefox (with Chrome as back-up) years, with only occasional and minor, of the problems. I'm automatically updated to the latest version of Firefox.

My life as a browser was so good - without incident, even serene.

Until yesterday. Then suddenly, Firefox is not responding. Once, then twice, all together about five times yesterday, he should stop responding and I have to close the program and restart. And the pattern repeated itself today. Sometimes, when he's not responding that I can still do things like open a new tab, but not to download files or play a YouTube video - in fact, there is an empty space where the video should be. Sometimes I can't yet close Firefox to restart without turning off my computer.

Let me emphasize that nothing has changed in the manner of my Firefox use to possibly trigger all this. I'm doing exactly what I always did, nothing more.

My first awareness came when Windows reported me that Firefox had stopped responding and asked me to click on "Close the program" in the dialog box close Firefox, which I did. Windows said they would look for a solution and let me know. At one point, Mozilla came to the screen to announce an accident, and I filled out a crash report. Whenever my first assumption of awareness of a problem comes when Windows is displayed in a small box and announced that Firefox unresponsive. Soon after, the lack of reactivity will become obvious to me in a variety of ways.

One notable point: if I restart Firefox everything will be fine for a while, and then, suddenly, the blocking problem happen.

I want to know why this is happening. Given that my model of internet browsing has not changed its nature, lies the flaw with this new version of Firefox? Or is it a malware that is responsible for? I want to emphasize that I been using Chrome in the meantime and he exposed to any of the problems of Firefox.

In fact, rather than my engage in an ignorant speculation, I'll wait just for analysis by the experts in this forum.

  • The network screen is Unresponsive

Original title: Microsoft does not work!... At least on my computer...

So, I'm new to the whole forum thing, but this is quite urgent for me to ask for help!

My computer was working fine a week ago (I mean, my LED light blew 10 days after the end of the warranty, but with my things external monitor worked very well!). I leave and go see my family for ten days. My computer is turned off. In return, the first thing I do is turn on my computer I'm completely addicted. The icon in the corner shows that I have no internet connection, but I have no problem, surf the internet. I thought it would fix itself on reboot. Then, I discovered that I can't listen to music that I downloaded using my Zune Pass. It was weird, so I decided to go to my network to see if maybe my WiFi picked up another House. This screen is unresponsive. I decided to turn off my computer. Nothing changes. Then, I decided to go to Microsoft Support. In general, I run Firefox and Google Chrome. I'm trying to download the thing Mr. Fix It from Microsoft. It makes Firefox unresponsive and time keeps adding on Chrome. I decided to return to Internet Explorer. Who does not open! I decided to run a OneCare antivirus scan. I get a message that it can't open, but if I reboot it can fix. I restart again. No luck. I'm at my wits end, and if someone could help please my computer illiterate self, I would appreciate it!

    Thank you

    Amanda
