  I have updated java 7 up to 45 (by mistake, this version of java does not work with vpn and according to apple, I can't revert to the previous version). The applet plugin does not appear in my Add ons. I'm not running 32-bit. I have read and tried every article I can find. I uninstalled and reinstalled still no luck.   Hello, you must install the version of the java plugin which corresponds to your Web browser.   Yes, I have the same problem. Silverlight 4 does not work in Firefox 14.0.1. Used to use only "restarting in 32-bit mode", but now, who is caught in a loop without end. Silverlight 5 will work, but the video is choppy so badly that it is very bad. I think it's a fall frames in all directions.

  I noticed that you use some 3. XX version of firefox.
  I had this problem on a pc from a friend, it wouldn't update probably because of the installed version is too old.
  Download the complete installation of 12.0 of firefox here:

  Uninstall the installed version.
  Then install 12.0 and it should work fine.
