3D - too many anchor points?

Hello

I'm new to Illustrator and attempt to use the 3D tool to create simple underwater maps. I draw a view birds eye in the shape of the reef on my iPad Pro and then export it as a SWG to Illustrator. From there on, I use the 3D tool. For my first file worked great, but with the second file he cut a large part in the subject, despite the fact that there is only one way. I wonder if it's because there are so many anchor points? See attached screenshot.

Can someone tell how can I avoid this or repair?

Thank you very much

Sarah

Illustrator 3D.jpg

It can also be something else, but whatever happens, I would certainly reduce the number of first anchor points.

Object > path > simplify.

If the error persists, please tell us, so we could get the other issues.

    I take a picture and I have a problem - I need a maximum of 2000 anchor points, and I have about 11 k.

Looks like I have a lot of useless points, but when I try to simplify the image gets all messed. Another way to solve this problem?

Here is a part of the image, we see that many of the points do not have to be there...

    Lars Jørgen,

Whatever the version, you should be able to:

    (1) select a red path and select > same > fill color,.

    (2) pathfinder > unit/add to shape area (you may need to press Alt/Option to get simple traces if yes, you will get a warning about it);

    (3) separate if you wish.

Who should group all sets of overlapping paths of this color in unique paths, some of which may be composed of paths, with all the unnecessary layers and their Anchor Points removed.

Edit: If you use British English in the first sentence, you can spell it without getting caught by the filter of the nanny.

  • Too many touch points reported: Bug?

    Dear community of JavaFX

Following situation. I have a contact manager that recognizes special movements and fire of javafx. GestureEvent derivatives on positive detection. gesture event has a list of points of contact cloned to lay their hands on the beginning and the end of the gesture.

Now if a listener for this GestureEvents fails for some reason any with an untrapped exception, JavaFX contact point manipulation goes wrong by launching constantly RuntimeExceptions: "too many touch points reported. Therefore, the touch application is no longer usable and must be restarted.

If the listener completes without error, the application continues to run as expected.

The GestureEvent in a Platform.runLater of fire seemed to help, but I have experienced the problem at least once. The problem is not reproducible reliable however.

    I think it's a bug in JavaFX.

    Any thoughts/advice/comments on this?

  • Why brush STROKE now have so many anchor points?

I'm running Illustrator CC 19.1.1 64-bit and in one of the recent updates, they have changed something on the Brush tool. I used to be able to zoom and make little lines and circles with the Brush tool which would make then with a handful of anchor points that I could easily manipulate later if I needed. Now, I do the same features with the same brushes on the same level with the same canvas size zoom and the same lines are rendered with like 40 anchor points which makes almost impossible traits to manipulate later the the direct Selection tool.

I know I can object > path > simplify, but I really want to have to do each stoke. I think that what I'm looking for is a way to change the density of sensitivity or anchor point or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And you have double-clicked the Brush tool and adjusted the "faithfulness"?

  • How can I remove the unnecessary anchor points ALL at ONCE? (pathfinder / path offset)

Hello, I tried to seek answers on this topic, but it was of no use...

I'm currently in trouble after too many anchor points "image path" or "path offset tool."

    1. I would like to know if there is a way to remove unnecessary points at a TIME. (e.g. multiple on stait line or duplicate anchor points points to an anchor point)

-J' tried to "Simplify", but it changed the image too.

-J' tried to "Remove points of redundancy" when using the 'image path' but it came out as below:

    multiple points.JPG

    2. sometimes pathfinder seems to duplicate paths. Is it possible to know that there are both duplicated paths eraseing double GOLD?

Thanks for read this msg, I hope to hear from someone who has answers to my questions.

You can buy clever graphics VectorScribe if you do this a lot.

If not, redraw using the pen tool, as some authors have claimed.

  • ATTRACT THE ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CC PROBLEM (IN MILLIONS OF ANCHOR POINTS)

    Hey guys,.

I paint mainly hand free images on draw for transfer on CC Illustrator to create T-shirts on my Mac book Pro.

They yield without problems, but when they come through here is like millions of anchor points (which literally planting my Mac even if its brand new with very good specifications) and loads of layers.

Also, when I change outline/background color to match my color of T-Shirt Basic, he treats as if there are two separate features around the line.

Is anyway to turn it into a normal vector without so many anchor points (excluding the rounded tool) more as if she was drawn on Illustrator?

    Thank you

    Laurence

(Sorry for the bad description, I am new to the draw and Illustrator)

    Hi Laurence,.

Even if it's a conversation, I had with a number of people who use a draw... Brushstrokes in the draw are as a form of task of Illustrator and it is currently not possible to obtain a simple/single track in the middle of the race... and I don't know if changing this algorithm of drawing is even considered at this stage.

I know that to redraw the strokes in Illustrator CC, is an excruciatingly long process and I'll pass your comments along to the product team.

There are a lot of people on the forums who have raised the same issue and I would like there was more I could do to help. I hope it is useful to at least understand what's happening.

    Sue.

  • The path segments and anchor point conversion

Once again, coming from CorelDraw background, working with paths and their anchor in Illustrator, seems me very little practice, but hey, I'm willing to learn. However, I could not find how to get this Illustrator basic functionality, and oh boy I searched a lot. So, here we go, maybe you guys can give me a hint.

Basically, in CorelDraw, anchor points can be: cusp point, smooth or symmetrical and the correspondence path segments can be lines or curves, all of these can be set by little fast individually and for me somehow normal.

    Corel000.jpgCorel002.jpgCorel003.jpgCorel004.jpgCorel005.jpgCorel006.jpgCorel007.jpg

Now in illustrator, I know how to use convert tool for shwitch to a smooth point to a corner anchor point or the other way around. But many times, after his conversion to a point angle, I would like to have the posibility to do one or the other line segments of a path or curve. How can I do this in Illustrator?

It is also possible to reproduce the functionality of symmetrical knot in Illustrator, which is specific for an anchor point handles, are the same length, move synchronized and always 180 deg apart.

Thank you and sorry if my questions are obvious, I can't find my energetic path in Illustrator.

I'm really sorry for this announcement.

Don't apologize. Your points are not invalid.

Fact, it's simply, Illustrator does not provide an explicit anchor type that assures the tangency between the right and a segment of the curve (your screenshot third in your initial post). Draw is done. The fact Freehand (called connector Points). No Illustrator.

Illustrator does not provide an adequate means for retrieving a single handful of anchor point. Allowing you to win almost end up disrupting the curvature of the adjacent section.

Illustrator does not constraints anchors to symmetric handles of the same length. You can do this initially convert result to slip with the tool, or (recently) click the button convert to smooth in the control panel. But even once, there no special anchor type to ensure that the symmetry continues with future adjustments.

If you continue to study carefully the differences, you will find several omissions similar and/or limitations in interface of Bezier path of Illustrator, for taken-for-granted things in other programs. For example, you cannot compel a length of handle adjustment (sliding) to the current angle. It's always been like that. The Illustrator Bezier interface is worse in their class. Too many tools; too few features.

Several formats are apparently compatible with

    Music - wma, wav, .wmv

  • Too many?

Hello, in my application I am multiplying extremely large numbers. The product of these numbers when converted to a string and displayed to the user are in one of these formats:

    #1

    201.16800 * 0.00000000000668458134 = 1.34472385900512e - 9

    #2

    999999999999999999 * 0,0254 * 0.00000000000668458134 =-0.0002524105470876466

Either as #1, the product is in scientific notation, which is what I want, either as #2, she has a negative value. Why #2 have a negative value? I also use the Number type to store these numbers. Y at - it a type more best suited for more - since I know that a regular 32-bit integer would not be able to manage these figures. There must be a solution to this problem. At one point, the number would have too many digits to display to the user correctly which is why I want display in scientific notation as in the #1 example.

    Thanks in advance,

    Noah NAKED

The number in Actionscript class uses the format double-precision 64-bit that is used to store the values of numbers between-9, 007, 199, 254, 740, 992 (-2 ^ 53) to 9,007,199,254,740,992 (2 ^ 53). Your first number # 2 is just to great to store in the number class, so that you get a positive overflow resulting in a negative endresult.

Unfortunately, there is no datatype in ActionScript with a larger area I know.

If all this sounds like gibberish to you, I suggest you read up on top of floating points. The use of these small and large numbers together is boobytrapped by several errors of calculation.

  • too many programs in startup

Im searching on why I have too many startup programs with my PC.  I understand 3rd party programs may start with my startup.  Im going to watch the video on how to determine what I can disable.  I understand that I must load the tool down.   is this tool save for down load?

"Too much of" programs start when your computer starts all first is not really the right way to see things.  What you need to do is to decide what programs you need and that you do not.

If you are concerned about 'slow' start, the usual culprits are programs that perform some sort of scan of your computer--which is what takes the time.  These are programs that you really want to keep, such as your antivirus and Windows Update program.  Some antivirus programs are more effective that others insofar as of the start of the scans are involved.

Many programs can be prevented from boot to start Windows using the menu 'options' of the program and by unchecking an item that says something like "Start Skype" when I start Windows (obviously for Skype).

Another thing to do is to click on the Start button, then all programs, then start.  The contents of the startup folder is shortcuts to programs.  If you don't want a program to start, simply delete the shortcut from the startup folder (this will NOT remove the program, you can always start it either from a computer point or its own entry in the start menu > list all programs).

There are other methods that some programs use to automatically start, and that's why 'startup manager' utilities exist.  Some of them (e.g., Autoruns) should be used with caution, so that you do not disable something that should really be started (even if you don't think to do this).

That your specific question, we have no way of knowing which video that you watch or what tool you are referring.  If you want advice on something like that, please provide the URL (web address) you are watching.

  • Anchor point does not exactly where I put it, but in the middle of the image

I create the page muse 'contacts' and insert some text and then point anchor and under a photo. My index page, I link to my anchor point 1. the result is a photo half... I don't know what the problem

The page is probably too short. The bottom of the page reached the bottom of the browser window, until the anchor is able to reach the top of the window.

  • Anchor points will not connect even when "intersection".

    Hey guys

So my question is, for example, I have 2 lines with an anchor at each end. When I drag on the anchor line anchor the other end line in order to connect them I see green lines, saying that they cross so I line and release the mouse button. The line that I drag then moves to the side, and they're more connected. When I see in the outline I see that the lines are not connected. I try dropping them on in map mode, same problem. It is the same for all the anchor points, including on forms except those drawn with the pen tool.

I've been job id document and it was working fine until just recently, then it stopped working and I had the problem that I pointed out above. When I open a new document, it works fine. When I copy my designs in a new document, all lines that came from the old document still have this problem but all the new lines or shapes I create join perfectly. I want to continue to work on this document that I have spent a lot of time on it to this day though I need points to align and connect when I join them.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    chapachap,

In such cases, the first assumption is aligned to the pixel grid.

You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher. It is crucial that the checkbox is disabled completely, not just a - which also count as ticked.

It may be noted that even align with the pixel grid is cleared with all the selected objects, align new objects to the pixel grid is checked as the creation of new objects will result in these new objects being aligned, even when they are created from existing objects that can happen with Pathfinder operations.

You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

Here is a screenshot of exquisite made per ton in the first post:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/message/7841770#7841770

In addition, if you want to join them in a path, you must select them and Ctrl / Cmd + J (with an apology for possibly stating the obvious (too) you already know).

  • Parametric sice of change in shape of rectangle to scale and to the anchor point

A current project of mine, I use many forms - in particular rectangle shapes with rounded corners. To maintain the proportions of the rounded corners when the size changes animation, I use the size property of the trace of the rectangle across the shape. It seems to work pretty well, except that I can't After Effects to use the anchor for this method - the rectangle shape is still scaling to and from the center of the shape.

Is this type of "resizing" no support for anchor points, or am I missing something here? How do you solve it in your projects?

    Thanks in advance!

There is no integrated solution and I'm not sure what you would do differently during the construction of a path. The expressions are simple enough, so why not use them?

Reason: The title was too long

Currently, the only way to do this is to:

    1. Place the graphic in a sequence.
    2. Select the graph in the sequence and open the effect controls panel.
    3. Whirlpool open the motion effect and adjust the anchor Point property by dragging the X and coordinate hot text.
    4. You may need to adjust the Position property to place the graphic where you want, because it will pass like you most the anchor Point property.
