  I have a brand new Equium A100-337, which came with Vista as standard.

  What is a RAM upgrade. In line with this model of laptop comes with 512 MB of RAM. Very interesting, is that this graphics card is shared and use RAM for graphics operations. I imagine that the performance is not one that suits.

  This model laptop can handle with 4 GB of RAM and I recommend you increase the RAM with 1 extra GB module.

  I'm sure that the performance will be much better. 512 MB for me is certainly not enough. It is the same with Windows XP Home edition when the unit only has 256 MB of RAM.

  OK, I bought a new laptop last week a satellite A100-337, everything works well, but because that since I already had vista ultimate and some alphas, I tried to install allongside vista I had to reformat.

  So ive just got up and run again, but ive lost all toshiba utilities and drivers for the controller audio touchpad and wlan etc.

  Equium A100-337 is a form of unit PSAAQE series. Am I wrong? The serial number, which you will find at the bottom of the unit.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 - 337 Vista Premium. Unfortunately, the HARD drive died in it and it is out of warranty.

  I have the recovery CD and it have used before so know this works.

  I intend to put in a HARD drive replacement, but looking around, I can get a much better deal on something like maxtor/WD/seagate.
  It would be a problem for the recovery CD?

  In addition, the original disk is 60 GB - but if possible, while I replace in any case, I like to put in a bigger. What worries me is if the recovery CD is for 60 GB image pre - and then the rest of a larger HARD drive would be just wasted space? (if indeed it would even work in the first place)

  Someone else put in a brand/different size of HDD and used the successfully recovery CD? I have to admit not knowing much about how does the recovery process, pointers on that would be appreciated also.

  A different size will be fine. Not sure about the different makes it well, but as far as I know, as long as it has the same interface as the original HARD disk, and then you'll be fine.

  A Yes, the recovery works on a more than 60 GB HARD drive.

  On the download page of hardware A100 337 except vista drivers driver, there is only Windows XP MCE driver available. Y at - it no problem if I install the winxpMCE driver in my winxp pro operating system.

  Why not? Try it out and report how it works. If something goes wrong, you can always reinstall Vista.

  As far as I know the laptop came with Vista and a simple fact is that not all laptops are listed on the Vista and XP drivers download site.

  I was watching one of these today and fantasy quite it. Can someone give me a general review of it, and also no one can tell me the speed of the hard drive.

  I am looking to use the machine for gigging, so would need to run the sequencing program, files wav, vst plug-ins and some lunch. Is it powerful enough for this and what is the speed of the hard drive?

  Because of compatibility issues, we meet a couple with Vista Home Premium on this machine, I am forced to uninstall vista and install XP Pro SP2 license.

  I have a Satellite Pro A100 for Xp driver disc - all functions work well, GFX wireless lan, toshiba programs, but can not get audio to work. There is no conflict in Device Manager, hardware volume control is located at halfway. I can't install SRS trusurround.

  Advice please?

  Don t use drivers for Satellite Pro A100 but download the audio driver from the Toshiba driver page and select a series of Satellite A100 PSAA9E
  To my knowledge, this unit uses the HD Audio sound Realtek ALC 861 map
  If it does not visit the Web to Realtek site and try to download the driver from here

  May I ask what wireless configuration tool do you use?
  Have you tried to update or reconfigure the WiFi profile on the router and the laptop?
  Try this. Disable encryption on the router and try to connect without security settings. If it works, you can set encryption return parameters.
  You can also try reinstalling the WLan driver.

  By the way; did you use the firewall? Active firewall sometimes could is a bad influence on the internet or WLan connectivity.

  As far as I know that something like this is not possible. In my opinion, you should visit some stores PC and speak with dealers. I'm sure that you can buy some external device that allows something like this. Perhaps there are PCMCIA solution.

  When you have time go to the search option and use the DJ as a search term. If I well remember some DJs have already written here. Maybe you will find some useful information to make your job easier.

  OK, I have an Equinum a100-337 and im trying to install another OS other than Vista.

  I'm editing of longhorn 4033 and im having driver problems, exactly the same thing that happens on windows XP

  It's not my BONE. I tried the chipset utility that corrects problems usb but I can't get my wireless card and the sound card to install even though ive got xp drivers. My sound card is not still appear in Device Manager.

  Generally, Toshiba does not support any operating system s that are not shipped with Toshiba laptops
  BUT there may be a small light at the end of the tunnel.
  As far as I know Longhorn is a new Microsoft OS Server which is not official on the market. (can I ask how you got this oS ;))
  The Longhorn supports parts of the Vista or free spoken is Vista with additional features.

  However, I think you should check out the Vista drivers available for Satellite A100 and Equium A100 series and possibly unique pilots will run

  I have a 2.0 usb toggle universl BT, my last worked well until it broke.

  As far I know Equium A100-147 doesn t support the internal BT module and so if it was not equipped with the BT Toshiba stack.

  If you use an external 3rd party module BT, then you should check if there are drivers designed specially for this external BT dongle.

  Also, check if the BT dongle would be recognized in the Device Manager.
  If there is no dongle BT listed in the list of devices, then remove all controllers and hubs of UBS in the list and restart the device.
  After rebooting again Win XP should initialize the USB ports again and then you try to plug the dongle BT again.

  Good luck
