  What is a RAM upgrade. In line with this model of laptop comes with 512 MB of RAM. Very interesting, is that this graphics card is shared and use RAM for graphics operations. I imagine that the performance is not one that suits.

  This model laptop can handle with 4 GB of RAM and I recommend you increase the RAM with 1 extra GB module.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 - 337 Vista Premium. Unfortunately, the HARD drive died in it and it is out of warranty.

  I have the recovery CD and it have used before so know this works.

  I intend to put in a HARD drive replacement, but looking around, I can get a much better deal on something like maxtor/WD/seagate.
  It would be a problem for the recovery CD?

  In addition, the original disk is 60 GB - but if possible, while I replace in any case, I like to put in a bigger. What worries me is if the recovery CD is for 60 GB image pre - and then the rest of a larger HARD drive would be just wasted space? (if indeed it would even work in the first place)

  Someone else put in a brand/different size of HDD and used the successfully recovery CD? I have to admit not knowing much about how does the recovery process, pointers on that would be appreciated also.

  A different size will be fine. Not sure about the different makes it well, but as far as I know, as long as it has the same interface as the original HARD disk, and then you'll be fine.

  A Yes, the recovery works on a more than 60 GB HARD drive.

  Is it possible to upgrade pre-installed WinXP Home Pro on Satellite A100-906?

  I tried to upgrade installation but Setup reports that it can not copy installation files, the strangest thing that he couldn't copy _different_ files when I tried to install from different locations, - CDROM, the image mounted on the installation CD and the directory with the contents of the CD WinXP Pro facility.   I was watching one of these today and fantasy quite it. Can someone give me a general review of it, and also no one can tell me the speed of the hard drive.

  I am looking to use the machine for gigging, so would need to run the sequencing program, files wav, vst plug-ins and some lunch. Is it powerful enough for this and what is the speed of the hard drive?

  Don t use drivers for Satellite Pro A100 but download the audio driver from the Toshiba driver page and select a series of Satellite A100 PSAA9E
  To my knowledge, this unit uses the HD Audio sound Realtek ALC 861 map

• Equium A100-147: Sonic recorder blocked under Vista

  I am told that sonic recorder is blocked due to a driver issue.
  There is no way to cure this other than the upgrade I don't want to do.
  The thing is I got rid of the sound recorder help adding / deleting thing, but I still get the message of blocked driver. I've got rid of everything to do with
  Sonic, including in the registry.

  There are still two programs in the list adding / deleting, but I can't just get rid of them. One of the programs is called "sonic coders" and I said I need a disc.

  Have you tried to update or reconfigure the WiFi profile on the router and the laptop?

  I have 2 Jack on the front of this laptop is for the microphone/line input and the other is the helmet.
  As I am a Dj I need 2 output stereo (one for headphones in the amp) so I can listen to the songs while playing songs.
  on my other computer when I connect a plug on the front panel it asks me what I want is to know back to the front of the enclosure.
  My question is: is there anyway to manage the 2 sockets on the front of the laptop instead of mic in & headphone I would rear stereo LR & before LR stereo?

  As far as I know that something like this is not possible. In my opinion, you should visit some stores PC and speak with dealers. I'm sure that you can buy some external device that allows something like this. Perhaps there are PCMCIA solution.
