• 4 finger swipe does not work under macOS Sierra!

  Hey all, I upgraded to macOS Sierra and noticed that one of my function used more regularly on Mac OS, 4 finger swipe to switch between desktop computers does not work! Mine is an April 2011 MacBook Pro.

  Earlier, 2 fingers sliding back in the files, similar to switching back and forward for the Web pages in Safari, has been abandoned without reason penetrable. I hope that's not the same fate for 4 finger swipe to switch between desktops.

  I probably use hundreds of times every day for switching between desktop computers because I have safari, MS Word and open the mail outside of iTunes on separate workstations. I hope that a fix is released soon!

  Apple, do not bite of useful outdoors features!

  4 finger swipe works for me and appears as the 2nd part of the Trackpad Control Panel.

• A single finger swipe jumps several pages

  Since the last update of Firefox, a single finger swipe was introduced. However, it seems to jump forward or backward too fast and several pages. Still, it works fine in Safari but not firefox. I used to have 2 Configuration of slip of the finger with the best contact tool, but stumbled on the fact, one finger now works. All simply TOO sensitive. Tried to reduce the sensitivity to the best contact tool, but that does not work either

• Not installed finger swipe

  Before my laptop HARD drive goes wrong, my finger swipe worked very well.  Since installing the new HARD drive the laptop says the the finger swipe is not installed.  Is there a way to fix this?

  Install the software of fingerprint sensor fingerprint validity and configure it. Use at least five fingers.

• HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: I use finger swipe and my forgotten password

  I used my finger swipe to connect with my laptop because I got it. Unfortunately now I don't remember the password for my computer. Is there a way I can change the password because I can always connect with my impression of the finder.

  OK so take your advice and using a little common sence. I went ahead a created a new user and he is an administrator. I have registered in and was able to change the password on my original user. Thanks for the reminder knowlegde.

  Try this:

  • Go to Device Manager
  • The probe should appear under the biometrics
  • Uninstall the device and then select the check box to remove the driver
  • Click Scan for hardware changes and it may appear again, but with another driver
  • Repeat step 3 until you can not uninstall and remove driver - Mine ended up being "Synaptics PS sensors (WBF) (PID = 003f).
  • Reboot the laptop
  • When back in Windows, go to settings-> accounts-> Sign - In Options

  Can I add an another logon user, for the finger swipe SimplePass 2012? I have an account, connect you with SimplePass 2012, but my wife does not work! I want so she is able to use my computer, but, to do so, she had have it me slide all the time! But, if it had its own log-in, it could slip into her own! If possible, very well! If not, then not much!

  SimplePass is a HP product, not a Windows utility. I recommend that you check the faq from HP.

• the touchpad on the generation of apple tv 4 does not swipe

  Just unpacked my generation Apple tv 4 refurb.  I gave the remote control a short load before you try set up.  I was able to pair the remote control but the touchpad does not respond to the finger swipes. There is no way to make selections.  I was able to use my mini iPad to Setup wifi, apple store and iCloud.  When asked to allow location services there is no way to select my choice.  Also on the built-in keyboard I can click but not drag to select the letters.  Looks like a defective remote to me.  All opinions. ?

  Charge for about three hours. If the remote control is correctly associated with ATV, but the touchpad stil does not work, get it replaced.

• Cannot exit full screen by sliding the finger down

  Hello! I bought my Xperia Z2 last Monday, and so far I love it! BUT there is one thing that drives me crazy! I opened an image in full-screen mode and a tip appeared "finger swipe down to mode full screen ExTL" I did but nothing happened, I left the mode full screen with the back button and I've forgotten about it, but since then, I tried to do it in different applications (as I did on my iphone) and he is not leaving the mode full screen with the gesture of the finger I have to go out with the back button, this isn't a big deal, but I worry that something does not properly with my screen, it has a defect and that over time some important features may stop working, I already went through my settings trying to find a disabled feature or something but I found nothing.

• bug fullscreen Sierra

  Alert of potential bug for Sierra.

  Just upgraded mac mini and when you watch videos (YouTube, etc.) and switch to full screen: the Mac is not in full screen but goes to the lock screen, wanting to connect.

  I also tried with Ctrl + cmd + f and it does the same thing.

  Please advise? ;(

  Have a similar problem with the MacBook Pro.

  If I start an application from a display full screen, I get disconnected. If I navigate through the screen of the dashboard and try to get it by using scanning 3 fingers or on the arrow key on the lower right part of the screen of the dashboard I get disconnected.

  Rather than using a scan 3 fingers to navigate left / right, I now use F3 or 5 finger swipe up and select the screen I want to avoid the dashboard. I do not attempt to launch an application from a full screen.

• The trackpad gestures do not work with Sierra

  Immediately after the upgrade to the Sierra, the gestures of the regular trackpad that I had previously used with OS X have stopped working on my Macbook Pro. It's the operation slide 3 fingers, 4 fingers slide up to open mission control, sweeping to 4 fingers down to open the presentation App and the 4 finger swipe left/right to switch between desktops.

  I checked in the trackpad system preferences section, and all these actions are enabled and should be works very well, which leads me to believe that this is a problem with macOS Sierra.

  Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution for this?

  (PS. Yes, I use better contact tool, but that does not provide a satisfactory solution)

  In my system preferences, I don't see the option for 3 fingers listed longer. Which is a shame, because I use it all the time.

• Navigation in iBooks

  I recently completed an illustrated biography of 152 pages in iBooks author.  Each page contains images and text and the text of each page refers to the images and must meet not in the neighboring pages.  I chose the blank Portrait model which provides a chapter, an article and a default Page.  I did not require a Section so I removed it leaving only chapter.  I added an image and several lines of text to the chapter page to act as the title of the book.

  So, I inserted a default Page with ctrl/click on the chapter and I could see that it contains a linked text box.  By experience, I found that this limited my access to the page.  For example, the images become anchored at the edge of the text box and cannot be repositioned or resized and lines of text are moved to the new page to other pages.  I decided to remove the linked text box to give me complete control of the location of the images and text and to avoid that the text that flows from one page to another.  I continued to add pages without text boxes related one by one.

  Version 2.4.1 iBooks author has a new feature to insert hyperlinks from any word in the text to navigate from the current page to a page in the book, number or an external Web page.  The feature is easy to use and I created an Index page placed immediately after the title page to navigate to all parts of the book.  I used the Index name to avoid confusion with the Table of contents provided by iBooks.

  Despite professional IT experience of 40 years and another 15 years to do my own thing with OSX, I was unable to find a way to set up the Table of contents to do what I want.

  Hyperlink navigation works perfectly on the iBooks on my iMac OSX version, but the IOS version of the iPad fails to distinguish the taps of your finger on the screen to run a link Hypertext and faucets to access the command bar or to turn the page forward or backward.

  Respectfully, I suggest the finger taps to be reserved exclusively for hyperlinks and other actions must use the single finger swipe gestures - upward for the command bar access and on the side for turning the page.

  I eased the problem in my book by increasing the size of the hyperlink words but that seems awkward and activation of the link remains intermittent which would be incomprehensible to readers of books.  Another problem is that the back of the page in iBooks facility does not work on pages without a linked text box.  I have included a message on my Index page to alert readers to ignore the back to home link and use my hyperlinks instead.  It also sounds too clunky for my taste.

  I am reluctant to publish the book on the iBookstore in this condition, and I hope that the developers of iBooks will be able to address these issues in a future release.

  I have a "dashboard" button (F4) on my desk that no longer works (to display weather dashboard, itunes, calculator, clock display) since the update to El Capitan. Is there any solution for this?
