  I just installed last night Fusion 5 and Windows XP. Today I installed the software more and I needed mode full screen of VMware to see everything in the new application.   It's Ctrl-Cmd-F, not simply Ctrl-F. You can see the shortcut in the menu, although I concede shortened Apple glyphs are less intuitive.

  I do not regularly use Yosemite, but if I remember correctly the green button at the top left of the window has been changed to behave like the button fullscreen double-arrow has done throughout the OS X.  Try this one!
