4540 proBook s: display goes out at the beginning

In the Power Options, I put the screen turns off in 10 minutes when my laptop is connected.   I have a Probook s 4540 with an operating system of Windows 10.   The display turns off in 2 minutes when I have no activity.  This causes a lot of extra time turn on the screen and entering the password.    I tried to solve the problem of:

  1. Reset the BIOS to factory settings.
  2. Restore power to the default Options.

They do not solve the problem.   What should I do to solve the problem?

    Dear users of the Forum,

I am facing a strange problem in operation.
My laptop Satellite A300 is suddenly down power during the race for hours.
It is auto off not exactly. Not the way windows stop, is rather like strength to off (as when I press on & power button to stop force).

This happens automatically, starting again, the screen saying "windows does not stop properly, start windows normally" is apperanig.

I suspected virus infection, I tried full scan with nod 32, essential microsoft, kaspesky - 1 by 1 (previous uninstall and install the new), but all the antivirus intremediately scan stopped due to this power off.

Watch movie also stopped in the Middle, attempted to convert the movie file format also was arrested several times because of this problem of automatic disconnection.

I tried to run only on the power (remove battery) and got the same result.

can anyone identify the problem? can you please give me the solution?

    Hello

I put t think it is s virus.
En me it looks like overheating. Eventually the high internal temperature requires the laptop to close. This is done automatically to prevent the equipment from damage
I'm not quite sure what could cause this exactly, but in most cases the dust inside the fans affects cooling performance and lead to a temperature higher than m.

Higher temperatures could affect the RAM modules too, and perhaps that is the reason why some applications don't work properly.

What to say; try to clean the cooling fans using a jet of compressed air and check out how the laptop would proceed

When I come back he's going all the way back to the beginning. How to fix?

    • So you-and-release press the left arrow key, the iPod jumps at the beginning of the track
    • If you press and hold the left arrow button, iPod scrolls when you release the button and the reverse (rewind), the song will continue where the rewind is going on.

  • HP ProBook 4530 s - fresh out of the box installation SSD

    HI -.

I think to buy a HP ProBook 4530 s for Christmas and had the intentention of installing a 120 GB SSD.  I have installed SSD before office towers, but never in a laptop and that's why I wonder if I need mounting kits or brackets in order to do it properly?  Also, the HP ProBook s 4530, there in an area of the Bay of extra hard drive that I could place the SSD to use as a boot/OS drive or I better just to replace the HARD disk provided with the laptop?

I try to buy / change the laptop the fastest possible for general use / web browsing for parents for Christmas.  I'm open to other reccomendations but this latop resembled a great value / performance

Edit: Finally, this laptop / particular processor does support 64-bit Windows?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello:

The attached link for the quickspecs 4530 s should answer most of your questions.

    http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13948_ca/13948_ca.PDF

There is that a single HARD drive Bay and all you need to do is remove the caddy and put it on the SSD.

It supports 64-bit and you should be able to buy a model with a 64 bit OS preinstalled.

Here is the link to the service manual if you want to read before on how to remove and replace the HARD drive. Chapter 4.

  • When I open Firefox now goes out of the screen as it does with the website in the address bar, I'm going to.

In order to enter anything in the address bar, I need to move the cursor to the top edge of the screen in Firefox and the site chosen.

    Try to hit F11.

It is a toggle that maximizes the window beyond 'normal' maximize and gives you the most possible real estate for navigation, with less waste on the edges and buttons.

It might be the bad form to mention here, but other browsers use the same key for this.

I have a problem with the screen flickering at first upward. (Computer Toshiba satellite laptop) I start the computer and once windows starts to load I immediately encounter a flickering (somewhat like a light bulb which is about to release) the screen flashes and then goes to black... This may take 20 to 30 minutes each time it happens... which is usually every morning when I get up and turn on your computer! There have only been a time it happened when I wasn't initially upwards... regularly, he was initially upwards... once my login screen happens, I get my password and the programs loading - I have no flicker. Can someone please tell me what is the problem and how to fix it? I limited the computer knows how... step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

  • boot from the disk HARD second 4540 probook s

    Hello

I replaced the optical drive with a second HDD on 4540 ProBook s. I read of this 2nd HARD drive but I could not configure BIOS to boot from it, and boot device options lists only the first HARD drive.

It's pretty common. Simply because the BIOS is written to boot from an optical drive connected to this port does not mean that he will start on a hard drive. I don't think there's any way to boot from the hard drive adapter in the optical Bay.
