  I'm able to get Siri to open the FaceTime app, simply cannot access directly from my contacts and apart from this Siri works fine on the iPhone 7, including SMS and regular audio calls.

  I tried a FaceTime using Siri call on 3 old iPhone models (5s, 6 + and 6s), all running iOS 10, and it worked properly on each of them, she was with both iOS 9 and 10 on the same model of 6s for the past year, so this leads me to believe it's a problem iPhone 7 (or an individual defective unit) rather than a problem of iOS 10.

  I checked a number of settings on the iPhone 7 before coming here:

  • Siri is enabled.
  • FaceTime is activated.
  • Restrictions (general-> Restrictions) are completely shut down.
  • iCloud-> contact is activated.

  Welcome to Apple Support communities, it's my pleasure to help you with your iPhone 7 issue of Siri is not able to make FaceTime calls.  I use Siri all the time and have his power making FaceTime calls is another great feature.  Looks like you have checked a lot of things I want to check too, if I fell on the same subject.

  At any time, that there is a problem with Siri or FaceTime, the first thing I recommend is to restart the iPhone and retest Siri and FaceTime.

  Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  If Siri is still underway on issues from a FaceTime call, try to perform a reboot of the force.  Remember, this will be a little different on an iPhone 7.

  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 more: press and hold the sleep/wake and Volume buttons down for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

  Test again and then try to check for updates.

  Update the software on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch iOS

  For long notes, you are better to use regular old dictation - under Mac OS for a few years now, Siri is not mandatory.

  To activate it, go to "System Preferences"-> keyboard-> dictation. Once enabled, you can press the "Fn" key twice to activate and dictate the long notes in any application.

  Siri is optimized for short, quick things. I don't think that you can change, you just use the method that is better to listen to what you want to do at the time (short notes, using Siri. Long notes, use dictation).

It was supposed to be one of the examples of the integration of third-party application of Siri and while I can now use Siri to send WhatsApp etc. messages, when I try to ask him to make a Skype call, it tells me that Skype didn't put in place as yet.   I would say it is very likely that Skype needs to release an update that uses the new Callkit and Siri integration - their existing application would have no way to know yet about the new features, no matter how to use actually.

  For now all we can do is wait for Skype/Microsoft hurry up and release the next version.

  I'm not sure what the problem is that you think you see. Your phone is showing what applications used most battery in the last 24 hours. What do you expect to see?

• the iPhone screen is not responding and only works for short periods of time when I use siri for an indefinite period.

  Then my phone 3 days ago started having a screen is unresponsive. I just found someone else who has the same problems as me. My screen is white and gray, flickering vertical lines at the top of my screen, sometimes extending to the bottom of the screen. My iPhone 6 s more screen shows only these lines when I use Siri for what it is, which is a little strange. To make things even more bizarre my screen becomes sensitive occasionally, but only when I'm talking about Siri for an indefinite period. One of the things I had in common with a question that someone asked who had similar problems that me was that, when these lines flickering, vertical, white and gray, the iPhone will eventually type things randomly on its own. Such as random apps or opening of the things randomly without my intervention. A unfortunate thing is that when this happens it selects things like that to end a call or facetime. I already know that the cost is $329 remedy since its considered as "other" in the apple repair options and I am also out of warranty, so I wanted to know if there is any other explanation for this. It made my phone very difficult to use these days now...

  Im going to guess that your phone is actually a 6 + and not a s 6 +, which means that your phone is suffering from simple plu epidemic of iPhones of all time - to the epidemic ic touch.  It is unrelated to Siri and tricks of the 'home', the lack of contact button that gets worse with time and flashing bars gray is the presentation of the default signature.  It's a failure level Council of integrated circuit chips that control touch and it is a design flaw in the jury of 6 + that Apple does not recognize.  You can send for microsoldering of the Board of Directors to resolve the underlying anomaly for half of the cost of your options at Apple--assuming that you are not interested in protecting your out of warranty at Apple options.

• To save the movie app crashed using Siri

  I have an Apple TV with the latest non-beta OS 4.  Watching Dark Knight Rises.  Whenever I try to use Siri to save 30 seconds, it rewind the film of 30 seconds and then the film Soft has promptly stops and restarts, forcing me to go through the hassle to find the film and commissioning.

  This exact thing also happens if I pause the movie, allow the saver to start screen and then press the remote control to exit the screensaver... the movie app just crashes.

  Reboots don't fix.  It happened with all the movies I've tried.  Manually progress.

  No problem using Siri in the Youtube app.

  It looks a bit like this another recent thread: Returning to film on Apple TV 4 results with automatic return to the view of the 'Films'. I see the behavior even if I try to use Siri to jump into a film with movies app restart. Apple has indicated via Apple TV Feedback.

  Questionable Siri has done that.

  I think I saw network related issues with my Apple TV. Everything works fine most of the time. But sometimes, including, but not limited to, when I try to use Siri, Apple TV almost always drops the wireless internet connection. I've included a picture below of exactly what it looks like. I scoured both online that I can but it doesn't look like anyone has the same problems.

  I called Apple support and they suggested that I connect to another source of wifi. I used my hotspot on my iPhone and the Apple TV has worked well without any hitch in the connection. This leads me to believe it's firewall partner.

  However, I have disabled literally of each firewall setting I found in my router and still cannot find a solution. I also use a WAP browser in addition to router which is what my Apple TV is connected to. My WAP is an enterprise-level device, but I'm having issues access to the features of the admin of it network. Before I go and reset my WAP I wanted to get additional advice from people with experience in networking and firewall, especially with services like Siri.

  Hello. I don't think that this has nothing to do with the firewall, etc. When you use Siri, you send your voice via Bluetooth to ATV. If your WiFi signal is weak, the Bluetooth maybe block, if you are using 2.4 GHz. could you try to connect to a network of 5 GHz and see if that helps?

  My wife has an iPhone 5 s, but she wants more memory, then she is considering buying an iPhone 6s, either 64 GB or 128 GB.  But we are worried if the concert 128 will use more battery of the 64 gig and require therefore be recharged frequently.  The 128 gig use a lot of battery?  Is there data on the life of the battery for each of them?

  iPhone storage capacity (memory) will not make a difference regarding the battery life.

  Also, when Apple will come out with a response to the echo of Amazon? I've tired to wait... do it already! If you build it, they will come...

  Have you actually enabled Siri in settings > general > Siri, or are you just using the Siri button on the remote control?
