  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
  contacts data with a pencil eraser.

  Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
  manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

  I would like to know what kind of authentication mechanism ACS 5.1 use to speak with Active Directory. Does simply use MSCHAP, MSCHAPv2 or PAP. By default, it uses PAP to talk between the Cisco IOS and the AEC on the 5.1.

  If you llook at the default admin tab and click on allowed protocols---> he mentions PAP.

  Should I use a safe means of transport between the ACS and AD. IDF, so anyone can say the authentication mechanism?

  Any meeting of directors like telnet, ssh and comfort they always use PAP as an authentication method.

  VRAM is not the same as ram.

• Radial and graduated filters are stuck with the selection of the red zone. All solutions?

  Last days I had this strange problem with my radial and graduated filters. Normally you have to hover over the center point of the filter to see the radial or graduate area it affects. It's this heavy red color.

  My problem is that this function is active at all times, unless I hit ESC or click somewhere else to deselect filters. I've never seen this problem before the upgrade to Lightroom CC. It is therefore impossible to see live changes make you with the filters and which makes it very difficult to see these small changes and the effects it has on the photos. I've managed to select a stupid option somewhere? I can't find all these settings now. Right click or by clicking on the panels have no effect either.

  If anyone seen this before? Any suggestions as what to do?

  Your Athreos has never connected? If it has connected then it not only connects it to insecure networks? Also after can trying to connect you do the following?

  Right click in the command window and choose Select all, and then press ENTER.

• Cisco Wireless - E2500 N Dual Band router and hide the SSID

  I tried to hide my SSID by allowing emissions the SSID of the first, and then the other band.

  Once I have say-activated the SSID broadcast of the last band my laptop, which has the wireless card, would lose connection to the internet on reboot.

  I read somewhere, but now can't find the article, you can hide those SSID, but it requires some work to connect to a network that is more diffuse.

  Someone has knowledge on how to go about this, or maybe they could point me to a resource that explains how to set this up... thanks.

• HP Photosmart Prem 310a went offline suddenly and will not identify the SSID to run the Network Setup Wizard.

  All of a sudden the printer has gone offline a few days ago.  Went through all the diagnostics, etc. but nothing fixed.  A solution-Assistant will not work cause it will not identify the SSID of the network that he has done since it was installed (long ago).  Have tried everything I can find online, unless I don't understand or is not quite apply and still nothing.  Wireless network works with everything except the printer. I am not very computer so I do not understand most of the letter & numbers abbreviations used here.  Help.

  It may be a heat problem - radio from the printer gets flakey when it's hot.

• VLAN and the SSID does not not in the Web Interface

  We have a couple of APs which do not show the VLAN and via the web interface of AP SSID.  If you go to the SSID Manager page in the web interface, the page rises but doesn't show any SSID configured.  It goes the same for Services - Vlan.  This page appears but does not show in any VLANS configured.  If you telnet to the APs, you see the mssid listed and all the SSID interfaces.  The SSID on the access point is functional and working.  It is just so hard to use the web interface for these APs.  I tried to compare configs running on APs where the web interface does not show this and APs that it shows, but cannot see any differences.

  My Medion compute'rs DVD/CD player continues to try to start when not used. (flashing on it and noise coming from it, but is not).

  Medion support sent me a fix on how to a install and re install upper and lower filters.

  I typed in REGEDIT and followed their instructions until I went into the registry editor and click 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318 to select this key, but I don't see the upper and lower filters listed, to remove via the keyboard in the right pane.

  They are listed under a different name. ??

• Prevent students access the SSID with the school laptops

  Hi all

  I'm new to the network and I'm having a problem with the ACL.  My router is a RVS4000 that connects to a SG300.  The SG300 is in mode layer 3 and distributes to other sg300/200 that connect to multiple WAP321s. I have all configured for two VLAN, (10) public and private (1).  I need a way to keep my laptop student outside the public network for the purpose of monitoring.  I had hoped to do this with a mac-based acl, but I wonder if it's the best way, and if the ACL must be on WAP or the main switch.  All advice and/or assistance in writing the ACL would be highly appreciated.

  Yes, it is the collection point - easier administration with configuration to all units instead of the configuration of per - WAP of multiplication. More on the features and benefits of the grouping of WAP, you can find here.

  But rather than use the ACL, I recommend to use filtering MAC (Wireless-> MAC filtering) for two reasons:

  • the administration if MAC filtering is easier than the ACL (this is a simple list where you put the MAC address you want to allow or deny). This feature is also designed directly to these needs that you have
  • with the help of MAC filtering you will prevent some laptops to connect to wireless networks - which means that these laptops will not connect successfully. But the ACL is designed for situations when you wanted to block some sort of communication for already connected clients.

  If you decide to use the MAC filtering, be sure to choose the option MAC Local filter inside the SSID configuration section.

• Problem with GANYMEDE + (ACS) and cat 2950

  I have configured the 2950 as below and properly configured ACS and I can connect to the 2950 using this configuration, the problem lies after that I go to enable and try any command, I get approval to next error command failed.

  What I missed out the config that will allow me to execute commands?

  I need to know if it is possible to download ACL on the DACL device that is not a part of the conversation of RADIUS? In other words, I have a user who needs access to certain resources and attempts to connect to the network via PIX1. I need to authenicate it by ACS and download ACL PIX1 and (attention) PIX2 also (some firewalls upstream). Is it possible to do?

  I don't think that you can do. As you mentioned that the other PIX has no Radius configuration. And you can push only DACL of the Radius on the PIX server, she asks, not in any other PIX.

  And I'm not aware of any mechanism or feature, which allows you to transfer the downloaded ACL of one PIX to another.
