5 Lightroom loads do not importing .xmp sidecar files

I have a folder of RAW images that also contain .xmp sidecar files I am trying to import into Lightroom. Import images without any problems, but it seems that Lightroom don't know the sidecar files, since none of the metadata they contain do not appear in the catalog. I see the same behavior when I take the same files RAW/.xmp and all first run through the DNG Converter and then import the DNG in Lightroom (once again, no metadata). I tried to update the catalogue in two writing in the file as well as the reading of file but nothing I will get the metadata in the catalog. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you...

The file seems to be corrupted:

Basically, you have < rdf.li > gibberish instead of gibberish , so there are two end tags in a row without the intervention of the opening tag.

XML Notepad gives this error due to the foregoing:

  • Lightroom 3 will not import raw photo files

I have Lightroom 3 running on an older machine (Windows Vista). I used a Canon EOS Rebel XS camera and recently upgraded to a Canon Rebel EOS T5. I managed to import my Rebel XS raw files in Lightroom, but it won't let me import the raw files of the rebellious T5. I updated Lightroom 3 day, but I simply have to get a new more updated version of Lightroom? If so, which?

Your new device needs at least 5.4 of Lightroom. Adobe sells more Lightroom 5. You can switch to Lightroom 6, or subscribe to the creative cloud, or you can download the free DNG Converter and create DNG copies that you can use with the software you have.

  • Lightroom CC will not import scanned .tif files

    Hello

I try to import a folder full of photos that I had scanned a few years ago as 120 film .tif files on my Imacon. My research told me that there are 256 items (images) in the folder, but only 11 appear in Lightroom CC import window. Any idea what's going on here? I never had problems to import files from the scanner before.

    Thank you
    John

The file names have a TIFF extension. Needs an extension, Photoshop Lightroom does not.

  • Window Movie Maker will not import a mp3 file get that a C: {file location} .mp3 error could not be imported

OP: Window Movie Maker will not import an mp3 file. Why?

I tried to imort a song from my music file which is in mp3 format, but the program won't. She won't tell me why, it just says: "C: {file location} .mp3 cannot be imported." I imported 2 other songs that are the same exact format. Why is it cant import the file?

    Hello spardigus,

1 - is the full error you get when you try to import the file?

Some of the Mp3 files can be compressed in various formats. I suggest that you search information below and check out them if you are able to import the files.

It might be possible that the file may be corrupted and is not readable by Movie Maker. I suggest that you copy the file to a different location on your computer and you are trying to import.

Also check the size of the file. If it shows 0 bytes, there are good chances that the file may be damaged.

I suggest that you try to convert this file to avi format using an Audio Converter. There are several converters which helps you convert the file in the required format. Convert the file and try to import.

You can use your favorite search engine to find the program that will help convert the files.

  • Lightroom CC do not import the xmp files, help please.

I tried to import the .nef files w/sidecar xmp from another computer. I copied the files on a SD card, and then read the SD in the new computer. The folder contains the related file NAVE and xmp. None of the settings came to the new computer. Any suggestions on how to get copied changes on (it's on about 1 200 pictures, so it would be nice). The original raw files were correctly; any changes. Thank you...

Thanks to everyone for their help... I understood the question. I needed to copy the XMP files in folders that contain the associated images. I then went in lightroom, selected all the images and metadata right click > read metadata from the file, I was warned that it would replace the catalog but since it is a new machine and the catalog, I said ok. The changes came and everything worked.

  • I have a 80 d but iPhoto, Lightroom 5 & Photoshop will not import RAW (CR2) files

I just bought n 80 d and was happy with the possibility of processing the RAW (CR2) files, but all my photo programs will not import the files, because they are not recognized. iPhoto, Photoshop and Lightroom 5. I'm under Maverick on my Mac. Strange thing however, Image Capture will import them. Any suggestions?

The 80 d is a bit too new. It is normal that updates camera RAW trolling a few months.

I see that Adobe does support your camera if you upgrade to Lightroom CC. See: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2016/03/camera-raw-9-5-now-available.html

As for Apple, you can see a big difference between updates of the Mavericks:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201071

vs updates for El Capitan (Mavericks is two complete versions behind):

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT205272

Even though Apple has not yet released the Digital Camera RAW for the 80 D update, I'm pretty confident that you will find that you have to upgrade to get to El Capitan. BTW, OS updates are free from Apple. Just launch your app 'App Store' and check the updates and you should see which indicates that an upgrade of the OS is available for you. (Apple has stopped selling updates of the BONE several years ago.)

  • Lightroom will not import the cr2 files

I'm trying to import CR2 files in Lightroom and it is said that "certain import operations were conducted not.» The following files were not imported because they could not be read", then it will display the file name. I saw on the forum where it is perhaps a mistake to write, but I don't know where to go to change these settings. I use an iMac on the latest OSX and the most up-to-date CC. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not an expert with the product.

You go to your operating system (Mac Finder) and change the permissions on the folder to READ & WRITE permission. Which folder? The folder specified in the import in Lightroom under Destination dialog box.

  • How can I generate XMP sidecar files?

    Hello

Do what you want will be the whole of the law.

I'm trying to find a way to generate XMP sidecar for my files of Adobe Bridge's RAW DNG files. How can I do this? The reason why I asked is that my instructor really gets on my case because I'm not able to generate XMP files.

Love is the law, love under will.

    Sincerely,.

    Jessica sideways

Have never used DNG, but I understand that all the info is on the DNG file and there is no separate XMP file.

  • Could not import the .fla files

    Good evening friends,

I can't import the files flash adobe flash professional cs6. The message I get is:

"One or more files could not be imported because the problem occurred during the import"

    I need quick help.

    Thank you in advance.

    Ersin

Fortunately, that said asymmetric is not correct, as well not be what you were asking about.

You can open any FLA of CS5.5 or later, in any version, CS5.5, or later. At this time they did the files be future-proof. New feature does not work and could lead to problems, but the file should open ok.

But back to what you asked, you would never import a FLA, then don't means you that you try to import a SWF file? They are sovereign, there's a number of Flash Pro version where the ability to import SWF has been removed. Not sure if including CS6. Nowadays you can import SWF files, but you wouldn't get the ActionScript code.

If the SWF file is set to be protected, then that would also lead to errors. You are much better if you can find the original Florida

  • Could not import a video file that works when you export my project as a .air file

I am trying to create a project to be exported to a .air file which will include videos. This file will be required to work offline so add a streaming video it with Adobe Media Server is not for me. Video files in Animate must be linked and play (with no internet access) of the file.

I tried to import files video .mp4 to the project but they do not seem to be visible when I export.

I did some research and it seems to work only with the help of .flv / .f4v files (which I cannot make out Adobe as they removed this option now). I tested this theory with a .flv file and it seems to work correctly (with the exception of my massive chronology!)

Anyone know a way around this or could suggest that I could hurt?

It seems strange that Adobe would rename Flash to animate and then do not working not not with all other files outside of la.flv/.f4v which they now won't let go.

    Hello

Import of video H.264 in Animate is a design-time only feature that allows you to use videos as a guide to sync your animation on the stage. However if you want to embed the video in the output, please convert your videos to flv or f4v using Adobe Media Encoder CC (7.2).

You can still install Adobe Media Encoder CC (7.2) by installing Flash CC option PREVIOUS VERSION creative cloud - download and install Adobe Creative Cloud applications

    Thank you!

  • Could not import the KFP file

    Hello

We are not able to import the KFP file that has the version 13 in Acrobat Pro 11 / 10 / 9.

Can someone suggested how to import files KFP who has version 13 in Acrobat Pro 11 / 10 / 9

You should be able to import .kfp files created in earlier versions of Acrobat Pro preflight in the later versions of Acrobat Pro before the flight, but not vice versa. For example, if you create a custom preflight profile in Acrobat Pro 11 and export the file .kfp of preflight, you should be able to correctly import this file .kfp in the preflight in Acrobat Pro ms. You can not export files from Acrobat Pro DC .kfp and necessarily import successfully in earlier versions of Acrobat Pro.

Acrobat Pro DC-exported .kfp files are compatible with the Callas pdfToolbox 8. Callas pdfToolbox 8-export .kfp files invoking checks or corrections not in Acrobat Pro Preflight DC are not compatible with Acrobat Pro DC.

  • First Pro CC will not import the .mov files

Problems with first Pro CC, I can't import. MOV files created with my Canon 6 d.

If I try to import the files, I get a msg of error "File not supported" very generic.

It is a new installation of first CC on a new computer. I was able to import them using first Pro CC on the old computer.

QuickTime will play well these files on my new computer.

Premiere Pro CS6 will import these files to the new computer.

First Pro CC would open them well on my old computer.

I don't know yet where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

    Here are my system details:

    • 10.9.3 OSX
    • new Mac Pro
    • 3 GHz 8-Core Xeon E5
    • 64 GB OF RAM
    • The files are on the G external drive - Tech Thunderbolt.

Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled first CC and all works well. No idea what went wrong, but its working now.

  • I can not import some audio files.

For some reason any Flash cs6, I can't import specific sound files. There is nothing different from them and other files that work. He said "could not import (file)" and "one or more files were not imported because he had problems reading of their" Please help, my deadline is in a few days!

What is the file format of these problematic sounds? Maybe these audio files are on a sampling rate or unusual data. If the files are in mp3 format, try changing some constant flow mode, if it isn't already. Also look at the data rate of the file. Make sure that it is a 'normal' rate as 44100, 32000 or 22050 Hz.
