5 Lightroom sometimes fails to load EXIF GPS data from .jpg files

Until I Lightroom, I used geoSetter to add GPS data to my .jpg files. Most of them have loaded up in LR without problem, but for some of them, Lightroom could not import the GPS data. I used to compare GPS data in the loaded files OK and those who have not noticed that some of the problem files do not have exiftool: GPS, GPS Time Stamp, dater GPS map data. I used exiftool to change these in the file, Lightroom still not managed to load GPS data.  Anyone has an idea why Lightroom 5 sometimes fails to load EXIF GPS data from .jpg file

The problem with P3207532.jpg is that it contains two sets of GPS, a values in the section of EXIF metadata in the XMP metadata section:

$ exiftool -a -G P3207532.jpg | grep -i gps
[EXIF] GPS Version ID : 2.2.0.0
[EXIF] GPS Latitude Ref : North
[EXIF]          GPS Latitude                    : 20 deg 54' 41.68"
[EXIF] GPS Longitude Ref : East
[EXIF]          GPS Longitude                  : 107 deg 0' 5.47"
[EXIF] GPS Altitude Ref : Above Sea Level
[EXIF] GPS Time Stamp : 02:22:26
[EXIF] GPS Map Datum : WGS-84
[EXIF] GPS Date Stamp : 2015:03:20
[XMP]          GPS Date/Time                  : 2015:03:20 02:18:36Z
[XMP] GPS Version ID : 2.2.0.0

But the XMP section contains an incomplete set GPS fields. Note that XMP:GPSDateTime specifies a time other than EXIF:GPSTimeStamp.

I don't know which of your programs may have created these XMP values false, incomplete, but they confused LR.  According to the specifications of the Working Group of the metadata, which accepted LR, LR, choose the EXIF GPS values and false XMP values should not confuse it. But LR is preferring the XMP values and then conclude it is not all the GPS coordinates.

You can work around this bug in LR by doing:

ExifTool - xmp: gpsdatetime = - xmp: gpsversionid = file

    Thank you very much

    Hi Mike,.

    Here is a checklist that you can go through potentially solve your problem. When you have gone through the list, re - start of course to see if the icons will load at startup after you perform these steps:

    (A) uncheck "Auto-hide the taskbar", as appropriate:

    .. Right-click on the taskbar, select properties and find 'Auto-hide the taskbar' tab taskbar

    (B) turn off the composition of the Bureau:

    1. right click on computer > properties

    2 advanced System Settings

    3. in the course of execution, click settings

    4. check (enable) or uncheck the Enable (disable) the Composition of the Bureau

    5. apply

    Updated C) drivers:

    Maybe it's the drivers for your hardware components that need to be updated.  Although Windows 7 tries to install drivers for as much as possible, the drivers - who often change - may not be the latest film from the manufacturer's Web site.

    You can check the latest updates of Windows and install the latest drivers available. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. click on start, all programs and then Windows Update.

    2. click on search for updates on the left of the screen.

    3. If updates are available, go ahead and install them.

    You can also check for the drivers from Device Manager.

    1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. ?

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2 search for graphics cards and expand it. Now, right-click on it and select Properties.

    3. click Driver tab and click Update driver. Windows will now try to find the latest drivers for the graphics card.

    4 restart the computer after installation and verification.

    You can also follow this link to update the drivers:

  • Reading GPS data from a cRIO

    Hello world

    I use a module in series or with cRIO 9870 9014. I have need to acquire analog data with the GPS data and lang + long for each data point.

    I am able to get to the host vi gps data, but I am confused about the acquisition rate. I was curious and place a control on front panel to watch the gps in my RT vi data and I see a lot of spaces. (photos attached). I watched a lot of good examples on gps with the readers of visa, but since I'm on a cRIO with a TCP connection, I don't know how to process the data of succession on the controller.

    Can anyone help me please with ideas to use the module straight series.

    Thank you

    Tamanna

    Since it is a serial connection, you need to be constantly read the 9870 on the FPGA.  Even if your gps only updates once a second, that "update" has strings of unsigned 8 bit integers representing all of your characters - each read one of these U8s, seize only if you read at 1 Hz, will NOT correct data.

    So... Read on the FPGA continuous, faster better and passing in a FIFO to pass off to the host so that you can decipher your data. You may need to adjust timeouts on i/o reads.  Definitely take a look at the examples in the example for communication finder series with this module.

    And... as a diagnosis... you should be able to do this easily plug into the port series to your controller and use the controls VISA ON THE HOST RT - ethernet connection has nothing to do with it.

    For diagnosis, the indicators more the better. Let me know if you more specific issues.

    Try your local computer repair shop and ask then good re brand surge protectors.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    You can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

  • Failed to load microsoft Windows 8 KB3000061 update file

    I had Microsoft help site trying to solve this problem after paying $120 and 6 hours of scanning, virus check etc, that my computer came A1

    The suites of advice, say that this file is corrupted, but I can't get a response from anyone to date HELP

    Microsoft says this is a file for 8.1 and HP says that's for 7

    The Sydney Bureau said do not worry it is common and don't download for 2 weeks when we can all go!

    Hi Desmond,

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum. I really appreciate your efforts to solve the problem.

    I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

    You receive an error code when you try to install KB3000061? If Yes, what is the exact and complete error message you get?

    This problem can occur because of corrupted Windows update registry files. So, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:
    Troubleshooting of Windows update run and check. Please follow these steps:

    a. press Windows + W keys, type Troubleshooting in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. click on 'show all' and then click 'Windows Update'.

    c. click 'Next' and follow the on-screen instructions.

    If this does not help, then use method 2.

    Method 2:
    Delete the corrupted registry entries and then try to reinstall KB3000061. Please follow these steps:

    a. press Windows + R keys, type regedit into the run window and press ENTER. The Registry Editor opens.

    b. navigate to the location registry entry to the following address:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT

    c. remove all registry entries in "WINEVT". Right-click on the entry, and then click 'Remove'.

    d. close the registry editor and restart the computer.

    Now try to install KB3000061 from this link:
    Update security for Windows 8 for x 64 systems (KB3000061)
    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=44447

    Note: Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • Digital loading data from text file for Test of numerical limit

    I am a new user of TestStand 2014.  Just downloaded the demo ran successfully the computer.dll tutorial & example "loading limits a File.seq text"; & is now trying to build my own sequence from scratch.  I want to load a number from a text file using the property Loader.  The file contains the following:

    GGbeg
    484
    GGend

    My hand sequence contains 2 markets (see attachment):

    Charger property (which reads the text file & must store the number 484 in the Step.Result.Numeric variable, right?)

    GG-digital-test (which should test the number 484 in Step.Result.Numeric as a Data Source, right?)

    But when I run it, the measure indicates "0" for the value instead of "484".  What I am doing wrong?  Thank you in advance for your help!

    George

    Hi George,.

    The text file must be in the format, includes no property magazine. Use the following in the text file to make it work:

    GGbeg
    Result.Numeric
    GG-digital-test 484

    Value of the variable

    Value of the variable

    Value of the variable
    GGend

    In the Tools menu of the sequence editor, there are some 'Properties Export/Import' tool, which helps to create text files to be used with charger property stage. I highly recommend to create the new file using the tool and then edit the file to change the values.

    When I changed the data type of these columns in VARCHAR2 (60) the data loaded without error message.

    This has to do with the settings of NLS Session about the decimal separator and the group separator.

    How you load the data in the table determines where and how you set the Session variables.

  • Dynamic loading videos - how to integrate data from json files in video placeholder at the stage

    Hello!

    Working on a site where I want to display a variety of videos. Found a tutorial with a good script for loading dynamically the contents of a json file.

    $.getJSON ("data / press.json", function (data))

    {

    for (var i = 0; i < data.length; i ++)

    {

    var s = sym.createChildSymbol ("slide", "Stage");

    s.$("photo"). CSS({"background-image":"URL('"+Data[i].image+"')"});)

    s.$("title").html (Data [i] .title);

    s.$("headtext").html (Data [i] .headtext);

    s.getSymbolElement () .css ({"location": "absolute",})

    "the left": "50px",

    ({'top': I * 200 + 50 + 'px'});

    }

    The json file content looks like this,

    [

    {

    'image': "images/poster_.jpg,"

    "title": "my test."

    "date': 'my date."

    "headtext": "my text",

    'video': "http://www...".

    },

    ]

    Unfortunately, there is nothing of video in the above script.

    Anyone know how I can,

    1 / choose my "video" variable data in my json file (guess the script needs a line like: s.$("video").html (data [i] .video);)     or something)

    2 / dynamically put in my video placeholder where my video script of the show is.

    -----

    YouTube var = $("< iFrame/>");

    YouTube.attr ('type', ' text/html');

    YouTube.attr('width','640');

    YouTube.attr('height','360');

    YouTube.attr ('src', URL);

    -------

    Most grateful for any advice

    Best regards

    Bengt, informel.se

    Looking at the code of the success of your JSON Manager, it seems that you want to create a list of these items on stage with several video clips too. You can create the iframes required in success of the JSON Manager and set the src attribute according to the video attribute of the incoming JSON data. An approach could be as follows:

    $.getJSON ("data / press.json", function (data))

    {

    for (var i = 0; i)

    {

    var s = sym.createChildSymbol ("slide", "Stage");

    s.$("photo"). CSS({"background-image":"URL('"+Data[i].image+"')"});)

    s.$("title").html (Data [i] .title);

    s.$("headtext").html (Data [i] .headtext);

    s.getSymbolElement () .css ({"location": "absolute",})

    "the left": "50px",

    ({'top': I * 200 + 50 + 'px'});

    Assuming that you have a video called placeholder in the slide of symbol

    var YouTube is $("").attr('width','640').attr('height','360');.

    YouTube.attr ('src', Data [i]. Video);

    s.$("video").html (YouTube);

    }

    }

  • Error when loading data from a file XML using HTTPService

    Hi all

    I have a runtime error that made me beat right now I am building an App in Flash Builder 4 to run on AIR.

    The error is as follows: TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

    What I'm doing:

    I have 2 DropDownList controls, the first is filled with the names of countries and the other with the language options.  All 1 DropDownList control

    set to an image control to display the flag of the country and activate the 2nd DropDownList.

    The 2nd DropDownList control sets the returned variable equal to the language code.  I then call the function in the language and pass it returned using this variable, I build the string

    for langFilePath will be equal to the XML file (which is "Lang_GBR.xml") location on my desktop and then call the HTTPService.

    As soon as the function of language is called, the runtime error occurs and highlights the line with btn_LS_mainMenu.label = loadLangService.lastResult.Lang.GlobalTags.btnMenu;

    When I try to assign the label of button with a new value in the XML file.

    I suspect that maybe it's a trivial mistake, but I can't see it at the moment.

    Not sure on your XML structure, but for now I see the problem here between these 2 lines of code:

    loadLangService.send();

    btn_LS_mainMenu.label = loadLangService.lastResult.Lang.GlobalTags.btnMenu;

    Data do you your httpService supposed to receive just cannot go so fast to fill the lastResult before calling it in the following line

    Try to add a listener to result at your service before sending:

    .....

    loadLangService.addEventListener (ResultEvent.RESULT, handler);

    loadLangService.send();

    ......

    function handler(event:ResultEvent):void {

         btn_LS_mainMenu.label = loadLangService.lastResult.Lang.GlobalTags.btnMenu;

    }

  • An error in loading data from .csv file using sql * loader

    Hello

    I wrote a control file, to load data into the table.
    The .csv (input file) contains a value that contains within it. So that the value is placed in "" (double quotes)

    The record that contains the value that is quoted is not loaded into the file.

    example: -.
    input file (.csv file)
    001, apple, 1, 31 December 00
    002, "abc, def & ltd", December 1, 31 00

    in the example above second row is not inserted into the table.

    How can I insert all the rows in the table.
    any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...
    RXG

    looks like your control file?

    Try this.
    fields ended by ',' optionally surrounded "" "

  • Understanding in EXIF GPS coordinates

    I need help understanding a few basics about how GPS coordinates are written to the EXIF in LR4.

    Here is the result: I understand how to insert coordinates in EXIF of a photo. I see clearly the details when viewing EXIF in LR4, but this is where the trail ends.

    I try to display EXIF GPS data in several other programs and I just don't see him anywhere. Also, I participate in a web site that maps automatically pictures when loading, sharing assuming that the coordinates are in the EXIF data. This does not work for me either. As a test, I downloaded a file that had coordinated written in EXIF (according to LR4) uploaded this image to my PC and then re-imported to LR4... I see all the EXIF except no GPS coordinates.

    For all practical purposes, it seems that LR4 is not really write the coordinates to EXIF except for what is displayed inside Lightroom shell.

    What Miss me?

    JimHess,

    Thanks for trying to help.

    (1) I was not familiar with the writing of the changes XMP. I just watched my settings of the catalog and I see that the function is NOT enabled.

    (2) well, some of them have been previously exported images. I wrote GPS coordinates to a wide selection of photos that were a mix of RAW, TIFF and jpg. I don't "re-export" one of these files after you have inserted the coordinates. Honestly, I guess that if I inserted the coordinates into the EXIF data in LR that it became an integral part of these data from file, no matter what application, he was seen in after the change is made.

    UNDER THE DIRECTION

    JimHess, well, you helped lead me to the answer, and I appreciate it!

    I'll handle this metadata manually as described here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Lightroom/3.0/Using/WS638E3AC9-A04C-4445-A0D3-F7D8BA5CDE37.htm l
