  Hello.  My Lightroom was working fine until yesterday, no problem to import anything and now nothing.  I tried to import my raw images from my cf card and I get "following images could not be imported because they could not be read" (97).  I can import directly into my outside and they are there so I know this isn't a card problem. Actually I jumped in a card that charged just fine the week last with the same images it has previously downloaded and still nothing.

  I tried also to import the files in my external and a folder on the desktop.  Nothing. When I do this I get "could not copy a file at the location requested.  (883).

  It's so frustrating, I have several shoots this week and need to have my back running lightroom as it was.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  OK - success!  What I did on the top bar I clicked on the icon for drive hard mac and he told me where the old store was and I clicked on one that I could recognize.

  Not sure what happens if you remove the card and put in a similar SD card. I would like to test it so that you know what to expect.

  You really need a little more information such as operating system, memory, etc.

  Usually a mistake like this happens because a background process is running and interfere with the available RAM, not enough virtual memory (Windows), drivers of HW obsolete or just an incomplete installation.

  Or, one of the biggest problems is add-ons in internet browsers.

  Alternatively, another problem of Lightroom, no sufficient permissions on the directory where you import image files.

  When he says that the files cannot be read that this means that they cannot be written.  Adobe needs to change this wording in the error message when this happens all the time on the forum.  Check your permissions on the folder/drive target to ensure that you have write privileges.
