564 cartridges

I just bought 564 cartridges and they seem to have no window of ink on the bottom of the cartridge and the machine that said on the fold small following "the ink cartridge seems to be missing or damaged. Refer to printer documentation ".

The manual of the watch and the old cartridges all have a "window of ink. I did the cleaning routine contacts.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks for the replies. I decided it was cheaper to buy a new printer and that junk. I did all the fxies themanuals etc etc etc and it did not work. 6700 news now works fine. Shame on you 6380 - low usage, but the repair thereof is a waftam (waste if f time and money) so new printer it was. Thanks again

  • Photosmart B8550 - make the XL 564 cartridges ink also incorporate the same print head?

    Photosmart B8550

XL 564 ink cartridges sit also in the same print head? Or do I need to buy a big print head to accommodate XL ink cartridges?

I ask this is because 564 plain ink cartridges seem to fit pretty snuggly here, so I don't see how a wide range of ink cartridges could go in there!

Or what is the standard ink cartridges are only half full and XL ink cartridges are full, so they use the same ink cartridge?

    Thank you!

As long as you use the same number 564, etc. 940 XL just means that it gives more volume page. So, you can use the same print head...

  • : Photosmart Plus ink cartridges 564

I have a Photosmart Plus, which uses 564 cartridges.

Since I have several cartridges, I want to replace this printer with another who uses the same cartridge.

There is a new model for use by the carts of 564?

    Thanks for your reply.

I searched diligently and, as far as I know, unfortunately HP no longer sells a printer that uses 564 carts.

Not a huge surprise - Photosmart Plus is a few years old.

  • Photosmart 7520: 7520 Photosmart black too big HP 564 black cartridge for insertion in the cartridge tray

My Photosmart HP 7520 has 2 black cartridges.  One is narrow with the same width as the color cartridges and the other is larger and fits OK into its slot on the far right.  Close cartridge is supposed to be inserted into the slot on the left.  I bought 3 new cartridges of 564 black but it's widest 564 black.  How to find the narrow black cartridge?

    J_A_A

564 cartridges are labeled with icons for identifications. Black regular has a Pentagon on it and black Photo has a 'Butterfly' icon (and image of the camera on the package). I think that you're looking for is the photo in the black.

BTW, regular 564 also has a narrow black (standard load) and more wide (XL), so make sure match the icon, not the size.

  • Cartridge configuration HP 564 7520

I get an "installation 564 low ink cartridge" message on my printer 7520. Is the cartridge to "setup" of the black cartridge or the photo cartridge. Recently, I replaced the black cartridge with a XL 564 cartridge so it shouldn't be this one, but I don't know how to say that it's because they both have the same number. There are lots of posts with problems to the correct cartridges, so I want to assure you that I do not waste money buying the wrong cartridge. I did have good luck with the help of HP in the past sorry to say.

Ink levels can be verified by the Panel, as shown in the fifth Solution of the document here.  The thick black cartridge is the one with the symbol of the Pentagon, the photo cartridge is the one with the symbol of the bow tie.

  • Not compatible with my photosmart 5510 564 HP cartridges

    Hello

I have a photosmart 5510 printer I bought at the Japan. It came with a set of 178 cartridges.

I moved to the Korea and bought a set of new cartridges HP 564 here because 178 cartridges are not available in Korea. In the box of cartridges it is said that the cartridges are adequate for the photosmart 5510.

After the installation, I get an error "incompatible cartridge".

If I use sureSupply via the HP utility to find compatible cartridges and I select the Korea as my current position, I get the following message:

You have selected the following location: Korea

Is this your current location? We have detected that the cartridges purchased at the location you have selected will not work with your printer. Common causes of this include:

    • you bought your printer in another country
    • you bought your printer on the Internet from a supplier in another country.
    • your printer has been provided by your employer who has moved to another country.
    • you have selected the wrong location on this Web site.

Your printer can be reset to work in the location you have selected: Korea

Contact HP support for more information on having your reset printer to work in this place.

Below that there is a link 'Contact HP for support product' but if I click that I find myself on the sureSupply page and I have to choose my model and location. If I do that, I see a list of 564 cartridges I buy.

Top of the page, there is a link "Contact HP" but this link (a javascript link) does nothing (in safari on OSX).

How can I have my printer reset to work in Korea (with 564 cartridges)?

@ JeroenKorea - if you bought the printer in an area and moved to a new area, you must call customer service to ask a "regionalization Reset." Avoid any accusation to this effect; It is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.

See the document on regionalisation.  I'm sure you already used this link, but I want to offer again.

There is a question to keep in mind: HP has changed the design of the 564 cartridges a few years ago.  The new cartridges will work in older printers but not vice versa.  If your cartridges have a date of 'end of warranty' (found on the lower back right side of the package) before September 2012, they are the old cartridges.

  • incompatible 564 black cartridge in eprinter Photosmart Premium C310A

My just went black cartridge 564XL empty and I bought 2 x 5 packs of 564 cartridges in an online transaction (3 color more photo and black) that are labeled "564 setup. I did use one of the other cartridges that I prefer to use XL cartridges and just these available as backups between purchases. When I installed the black print cartridge (cartridge close in black wide slot with the corresponding symbol) I got the message 'cartridges listed above are not intended to be used for this printer as it is currently configured'. {The content removed}, but it doesn't work on my printer. Should I just throw these 564 cartridges "setup" and he chalked it up to a lesson learned or is there a solution to this. By the way which will run into the same problem when I try and use the "setup" cartridges 564 color or is it only black who is affected?

    Hello

The cartridges you purchaseds are labeled Setup? Where did you bought these as setup cartrdiges should only be received by the printer, not bought in a shop. Setup of cartridges are to be used when you first install the printer. So they will not work in a printer that has already been put in place.

  • 6525 adapter black ink cartridge

I have a printer HP 6525.  I bought a pack of new ink cartridges and fits very well except black.  The black cartridge for installation is about twice the width of one supplied with the pack.  Y at - it an adapter for the smaller cartridges?  If yes where can I get one?  ramroc

    Hey @ramroc ,

Thank you for taking the time to post on the HP Forums today! Hope you enjoy the experience.

You use the HP Photosmart 6525 and you are having problems with the new ink bought because you have a black man who is smaller, then the slot in the transport.

What happened here most likely bought the HP 564 cartridges with the 5th black cartridge is a black picture for the Photosmart HP 7520. The black cartridge you want to use is the one with a Pentagon on the top, not a bow tie.

    Should resemble what your transport;

    Looks like that the transport of HP Photosmart 7520;

You want to make sure that you use the cartridge with the Pentagon not the bow tie.

Hope this makes things easier for you. Have a good!

  • E-all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet 3520: HP Deskjet 3520 printer with black cartridge 364

I tried to insert a 364 black cartridge in the printer. The 364XL black fits perfectly, but the 364 ordinary cartridge seems to be too narrow to fit.

Am I stupid? Is there a technique for the Assembly of the 364 cartridge?

    Help please.

The regular black cartridge must be installed in the center of the space, with an equal distance on each side.

Additionally, make sure that you use the black cartridge 364 (with the symbol of the Pentagon) rather than the Photo-364 (with the butterfly or butterfly knot symbol).  The photos below show the 564 cartridge, but is the same for the 364.

364 black cartridge has a Pentagon on the cartridge but a circle on the box...  The Photo cartridge has a butterfly on the cartridge and a camera on the box node.

  • Error "incompatible cartridge".

    Hello.

I have purchsed new cartridges and install.  Now I have this error and can not do anything with the printer.  Help, please.

    I have already tried:

1 control HPSureSUpply: my cartridges are compatible.

2 turn off power for 60 seconds and restart: same error.

    3. disconnect from the printer and the wall, wait 15 seconds and reconnect: same error.

    4. check that the cartridges are inserted correctly: they're all broken comfortably in the appropriate places.

    5. intake air and contacts: the vents look clear; the contacts are clean and shiny.

What can I do to fix this?  OR is my printer now just a fancy paperweight?

    Eureka!

The question of regionalization.  Apparently, HP produces 2 types of different cartridges that correspond to my printer (Photosmart HP 6510).  There are 364 cartridges that work on printers configured for work in Europe, and then there are 564 cartridges that work on printers of region in the United States.  Apparently, there is a way to get your printer changed by HP customer care area, but practically speaking, people indicate that it is almost impossible to achieve.  My ill fortune was to buy a printer locally in Europe and then you order your ink contained in the States.

I solved my problem by following a few tips I've seen here.  Scroll down the page until you see a short answer to the user ShoSho-77.  Basically, a 5-minute hack job and I'm back in business (thanks Shosho-77!).  I agree with the users on the linked discussion.  The model of regionalization is ridiculous and boring.  The ink is ink, don't you think?

  • Is there a way to fill the new cartridges?

I inserted 564 new cartridges in my printer and shortly after it stop working. My new printer accepts the same 564 cartridges, but I had to use the ink cartridges that came with the new printer because they were the cartridges 'setup '. Is there an effective way to recap the cartridges until I need them. Place the band on the hole will keep the ink to dry?

You still have the orange shipcaps? If so put back and tape in place, then store them in an airtight container.

  • B210a (CN216A): compatibility cartridge

When I go through the troubleshooting for my B210a (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-Plus-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---B210/4021933/mo...  -Solution #5), one of the options is to replace the printhead with a CN634A print head.  All the information I can find, it is a printhead 920.  My B210a uses 564 cartridges.  It of the correct print head or not?  If this is not the case, what would be the right pair?  CN634A images look exactly like mine, while 564 print heads I've seen have an additional cartridge slot.

    Hello

Yes, the B210 uses the printhead of CN643A like you can find below as a reference, the print head is identical to the 564 ink cartridges and 920:

  • cartridges for photosmart c6510

I have a Photosmart C6510 I bought in the USA. The printer indicates clearly that I need 564 cartridges. However, I can't find this size in Ireland. For me, it was suggested that I can use 364 cartridges. Is this correct? Or are there compatibility issues with the fact that the printer is in another region?

You will need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset." Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.  Webpage of HP on the subject is here.
