564 ink carts

When installing a 564 ink cartridge I rip off for the whole band to open the cartridge packaging?   The whole band out exposing all the top of the cartridge, including the label of the cartridge.   Is this correct?

Hello

Yes. Only the cartridge itself at the end.

Kind regards.

It seems that there might be a power supply problem or there might be a hardware malfunction. Please, try the following steps to see if we can solve the problem.

Try the steps in the order presented:

    • Unplug the USB cable.
    • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet (do not use a hub or a surge protector). This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    • Connect the cable USB in once the printer has finished his departure without errors.

If the problem persists, follow the steps in this guide: print cartridge error.

    Hello

There are several models of Photosmart that use 564 ink cartridges, be aware, however, that the ink change from a few years back. most probably your ink cartridges should be fine but he better make sure to be surprised.

Following these guideliened to ensure that the cartridges are amended, otherwise those will not be accepted by any current HP printer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02435884

Photosmart HP 7520 / 7525 use 5 ink cartridges (also an ink cartridge Photo) and also offer fax features:

Photosmart HP 6520 uses 4 ink cartridges, but offers no nay fax features:

  • HP 364 vs 564 ink cartridges

To say that I am disgusted with HP is an understatement.  I bought a printer of HP 6510 of AAFES in Germany in 2012 e.  When the printer ran out of black ink, I went back to AAFES buy a replacement cartridge, only to find that AAFES did not have in stock.  As a result, I bought what I assumed the label was a compatible cartridge of a German bank.  The cartridge in the printer has been labeled 564 and had an expiration date of 02/09/2014; the cartridge I bought, 364 and 2014/02/09.  When I installed the cartridge in the printer, the printer displays "Not compatible ink cartridges."  Finally, in searching the Internet for a solution to my problem, I learned after much research I need to order the cartridge 564 - with the exception of the number is the same as the cartridge 364 - of the United States.  The alternative to this boring solution, which is itself annoying, is to call a support office in the customer country HP for assistance in executing a reset 'regionalisation', then repeat the reset when I come back to the United States.  (HP office of the U.S. customer support does not support HP customers located outside the United States.)

If ever a company deserved the hard times are slaughtered on HP since the recession, it is HP itself!

Ok.. So calm down. The next day, I tried again. The reason for this is the printer has worked with the other version of the ink - I don't like scrap dumping a perfectly functional printer for the sake of a communication problem.

So I called again - this time I called the UK - they then told me that I have the regionalization by the new regional support team... OK - lets give this go another... So I call my local support team, and this time I get my hands on someone who, after an hour, put me through to a 2nd technician level and this guy knows what she does! The dialect of the team, they could also be in India, that I have no problem whatsoever with only as long as we can all understand each other. Anyway, this guy is smart and give me some smart codes and we are in the underground world of the user interface of the printer.

We spend another hour producing codes and delivery retries to regionalize the system, but unfortunately none that works. I really give these guys there credit because they give... they were very polite, very patient and knew what was going on. Finally, we agreed to call it a day with the promise that someone senior at HP would call and follow-up. 2 hours later, has happened and now my problem is solved.

Well done guys - it took about 5 hours in total, a family dispute and a lot of patience, but we got there...

I'm a happy HP customer again.

Next time if I have problems I might try just directly ask for the 2nd level or by switching to a different 1st level tech tech...

  • 564 ink beyond the warranty

I have a few ink 564 beyond the warranty, will it still work?  Most dates are late 2011 and 2012.  Don't want to use it and did damage to my printer.  Thank you.

Hi, the ink itself is probably still OK to use. Print quality may not be perfect, but it will not harm your printer.

    Hello

No, other is narrower, it does not. There are plenty around, and you can use XL cartridges (they are physically the same size, only more inks).

  • Different size 564XL ink carts?

I have a out of warranty printer C6380 all in one. Recently, I bought several black text carts 564XL ink. The carts, I received are labeled correctly, but the carriages are narrower than one I took the printer. HP reduced just the size of these trucks XL, or those that I just got tagged incorrectly? It seems that HP does not want to receive users with printers of the officer of the QUARTER, so that I can't seem to find a way to contact them myself. I took a digital photo of the carts-by-side.

I tried twice to add a photo to my machine, but it does show that until I click "Post".

564xl black cartridge a smaller and cheaper.  See the following page.

  • HP 564 ink: replace with "old" barely used cartridges?

My printer broke and I just replaced by another who uses the same ink cartridges.  The cartridges were fairly new, so I tried to install the new printer but the printer insisted to me using "supplied" cartridges  Now that everything is set up, should I replace the cartridges supplied by my old cartridges that have ink?  Or should I keep them?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Please use the Setup program (provided cartridges) first and the old (s) later. The following instructions show you how to store opened ink cartridges:

  • XL 564 ink cartridges

I found these unopened cartridges, purchased at Costco, in my drawer. the original plastic had never been broken. However, it indicates an expiry date of July 2012.

    1. I do not know which printer they go to. can someone tell me?

    2. they do not go to my current printer, they are all good, I can sell them on eBay, or they will be dry?

    Thank you very much.

This link here is for this type of ink cartridge, if you scroll down you can select 'Compatible printers', and this will give you a list of printers that allows the ink.  Expiry of the ink goes, and if you can sell them or not. Some printers can replace the ink expiration, some cannot replace this message.  Here is a link that addresses the end of ink, this is it, and what printers can substitute this message. I hope this helps.

  • Printers HP 7525: 60 HP and HP 564 ink... are they the same?

I will be upgrading my printer shortly for the HP 7520 that uses HP564 cartridges.  My previous printer used HP60 cartridges.  I have 4 big bottles of refill ink (black is pigmented, the colors are dye) and wonder if I can use these inks to fill the cartridges for my new printer?  Thanks for any help you can offer!

No, they are not the same, physically.

I get an error message on the printer to replace the blue ink cartridge.  I replaced but get the same error message. My printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g Wireless use Windows 7 64-bit

You may want to clean the printhead contacts to remove dried ink or debris that could cause a connectivity problem between the print head and of the cartridge. There is a guide on how to do this in the link below:

There is a question to keep in mind: HP has changed the design of the 564 cartridges a few years ago.  The new cartridges will work in older printers but not vice versa.  If your cartridges have a date of 'end of warranty' (found on the lower back right side of the package) before September 2012, they are the old cartridges.
