6.3.1 Department does not not indexed search.

Hello

I would like to use the access log to monitor the use of research not indexed. I think not wrong in saying that these should be always connected, as a result, with the text "notes = U'. '. This text can then be monitored by using the logconv utility report.

However, I ran several tests where I specifically search attributes indexed and only the unindexed attributes. All these searches appear in my access log, but none have a nonindexed indicator.

I'd appreciate any help to work on what I need to do to enable the logging of research not indexed.

Thanks for any help.

Searches are probably indexed. If your database has less to allidsthreshold (default: 4000) entered subordinated under the container dn that you specify as the base for the search DN, the index system (parentid/ancestorid, depending on whether you use one or void) will cause your search is indexed regardless of which is the filter. Try to add enough entries under the base dn for the token allids put in the index system.

  • surface rt address bar does not bing search, goes in search of time warner cable/yahoo

My rt surface does not Bing search when searching through the address bar. If you enter a term to search above the address bar offers research appear. If you do not select a suggested search or there is no suggested research URL changes and says Bing for a second then goes to something else and a page of results from time Warner cable/yahoo search rises. Bing is the default search engine has been added as a search engine I can search through the address bar on my desktop with windows 8. This happens in the desktop browser and browser metro.

Why I can't search Bing through the address bar in windows rt?

  • Safari suddenly does not work: search box does not

    Safari has suddenly stopped working.

When I open it, it will open the home page, and if I go to an element in the story, they're going to open this page, but the search field that you type things does not. He has a blue line around it and and will not accept any input from the keyboard: it remains empty. I tried to quit and re-opening. I have the latest version of Safari.

  • Windows 7 indexing does not index the Publisher files

Original title: "Windows 7 indexing and Publisher files"

However hard I try, I can't do the function of the index to include my .pub files

I have a good number of Publisher files and hold the position within to include in my search index.

I put advanced indexing .pub files are included with the properties and the content and informed me he puts a filter of plain text in place.

However, after that the re-indexing is complete, he finds only three hundreds of .pub files on the hard drive and any of the content.

What else can I check, please?

    Thank you.

    Hey Stephen Carter,

You can search the .pub file by using its file name. Unfortunately, it is not possible to find a file .pub via its content.

  • Windows Search can not index the A: drive

Do not assign the letter 'A' on a disk partition, because Windows Search does not index the A: drive. I made a Win7 installation on a system with a SSD boot drive and a conventional hard drives.

I did my data to partition the A: drive and moved my files user for this partition. Windows Search could not find anything on this drive until I assigned a different drive letter to the partition.

I know that there are very few machines with floppy drive.

Is always the convention however that readers and B are reserved for floppy drives and will be until there is no more floppy drives on the left.

If you connect a USB external floppy drive on your machine, it is the reader, NOT the D or E or F or any other letter.

Therefore, it is not a good plan to designate any partition on a HARD disk as drive A...

  • Not find search text in the source code files

If I rename a .vb in .txt or .sql file, I CAN find the text in the file by using a not indexed search, but if I do not rename the file, simple text search CAN NOT find in the file as a "create table" or "function".  This behavior is pretty useless for a developer.  Is there a way to do this type of research, or any kind of utility "Find Classic" that works like Find in XP?  Thank you.

Here's a FAQ on the incidence of indexation and research: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Improve-Windows-searches-using-the-index-frequently-asked-questions.  You should read the article in full - it is instructive on how research occur in Vista which is very different from how they were in XP.  It includes how to add files and locations to the index.

To search for the folder C: whole disk in Vista go to start / search and type in ' or '. As you type, you'll see two hyperlinks appear just above where you type and we'll search everywhere.  A click on it.  Who will do a fast indexed search and bring up a dialog box.  Click on advanced search.  Click the drop-down location and find the C: drive and click on it. Check the box "include not indexed, hidden and system files (might be slow).»  Then click on search.  You will now search your entire hard drive to the specified file.  And Yes, this isn't a very effective way to search the entire disk for a file but it is how it is done in Vista.

Here are some tips on how to find files (and the page includes a number of hyperlinks to related articles while doing the research you can also consult: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Tips-for-finding-files.)  There are also a lot of links to other articles on the research of Vista - but not as good as this.

I did a search for a character in my book, and each project book came to research (well most of them - all fit in the list without go advanced).  This is because the files .doc, .docx, and Documents are all included in the Index.  I think that if you add .sql and .vb and the location of your files, you'll be able to search by content as well.

I hope this helps.  Good luck!

Why an amplification of the RAM does not change the index performnance of windows Vista?

    Hello

I m not very well, but maybe you have more than 3 GB of RAM and Vista 32 bit.
Usually the 32 bit OS is capable to manage and send only 3.2 GB.
The more than 3.2 GB RAM will not operating system used and therefore would not increase the index
In addition the laptop will be not really faster after upgrading RAM. You will notice better performance using applications at the same time, but this does not affect the index of Vista.
But this is only my personal hypothesis.
