  Would it not possible to use NI PCI-6024E in a virtual environment? For example, could I install the card on a Hyper-V host and power in interface with a virtual PC running on this host? Is there a driver for this card that would allow me to do this?

  I say that it is technically possible, but it's more a question how to assign a specific PCI slot with a virtual machine.

• QNX driver for 6024E

  Hello, I ' am trying to work with a PCI card 6024E in a QNX operating system.

  For this reason, I downloaded the QNX drivres and Eseries examples.

  I installed the momentics in a Kubuntu OS, and from there I program the code for the QNX target.

  I created a new project, QNX and I imported all the files in the folder with examples of Eseries and QNX Neutrino 6 driving record.

  My firsti question is what makefile should I keep, you see if keep the automatically created an I do not compile or use imported files.

  If I use one of the examples or any of the QNX drivers, I have several errors because it can not find several.h files. The problem is that these headers exist and they are in the major include the path of the QNX target, but it seems that the makefile does not look here.

  I don't know if what I did is ok or not. I don't have too much experience in programming in eclipse annd or QNX.

• SCC2345 DAQ-6024E out that entry ok not OK

  Implement a small testbed DAQ using scc2345 and DAQCard 6062E and running with LabView 8.2 v.  It works as expected, but when I turn the file into an executable file and try to run on a desktop with a 6024E PCI data acquisition card in the analog still works but I don't get any input. The modules in the 2345 are AO10 and A10 (2).

  OK I solved e eproblem by avoiding the problem and simply transfer the 6062E DAQ card to another laptop and the executable running on the laptop.  Works very well.  I'm guessing the card 6024E I was trying to use was shot.  Thanks for your help!

  OR recommend the PCIe-6321.  It's a bit the connector is different.

• Incorrect, test the results of the e/s digital PCI-6024E in MAX

  Hi all

  I have a problem with PCI-6024E. It is for the Commission alone OR installed on a target computer. First he just used OR-traditional DAQ (7.1, if I'm not mistaken) and it worked fine. Some time ago I installed NOR-DAQmx 8.7.1 on the same computer because it is necessary to run both programs written with NOR-DAQmx and NOR-traditional DAQ. As I know there is no harm to do both OR-DAQ and NOR-DAQmx on the same computer if they are not used at the same time. You can see the traditional under NOR-DAQmx devices and peripheral branches DAQ PCI-6024E jury in MAX. When I run the self-test, self-calibration or Reset Device, Max there is no problem. But Test panels (under the direction of NOR-DAQmx) has a rather strange behavior. When I press the "Start" button in tab e/s digital Test panels window with all the digital lines in input, the 4 first green indicators are on and the other 4 are not. And then nothing happens or I press the 'Stop' button or not. I have the same card as a virtual in my MAX on a development computer, and there is a different behavior of it (I don't have traditional DAQ here, just the same version DAQmx). During the entire procedure of test until I press the button 'Stop', the port State 8 lines constantly evolves so the Green indicators are switched on and off with different ways through all possible combinations of logic '1' and '0' in each line of the port.

  The problem is really obvious when trying to control the statements of some laboratory equipment using their passage through PCI-6024E. digital controls. In this case I get auto turn on/off devices connected to the first 4 lines (which are always lit for some reason any as stated that the Green indicators).

  What should I do? This means the Agency is malfunctioning or there is some conflict of data acquisition and acquisition of data-mx? I would try reinstalling DAQ - mx, but I don't think it's a way out of the situation. I work under Windows XP SP2.

  Your digital outputs will remain in their last State configured unless the device is reset, in which case they will go to the default value (high, in this case).  So if the last State of the low output of your digital program, as long as you do not call the Device.vi DAQmx reset or shut down the computer, they will remain weak.

  If you have other questions about this application in LabVIEW, it would be better to create a new post on the forum so that we can keep these two separate issues (States of I/O digital by default against digital programming in LabVIEW).  If you are looking for a starting point, you can open the Finder example in LabVIEW ('Help' to find examples).  "" Once the example Finder opens, click on input and output material"DAQmx ' digital generation ' write Dig Chan.vi.  This will help you start.

• Automatic calibration of the 6024E Daqcard

  I find that I can to calibrate the Daqcard 6024E with NOR-DAQmx. Is this still valid calibration when I select then "traditional configuration NIDAQ?

  I'm sure that the automatic calibration using the coefficients that are stored on the card.  Therefore, it should stick.

  I would still recommend sending out for professional calibration once a year to ensure that the integrated standard is always good.

• Simultaneous use of PCI-6024E (former) and BNC 6210 (new) possible?

  I've updated to NOR-DAQ 8.9.5 to get the job of BNC 6210. I also have an old 6024E PCI installed. After the update, MAX shows the PCI-6024E and all tasks configured for this device with a little red cross. The tasks do not work (error-200477 message: no devices configured), and while I can choose the PCI-6024E or-Daq, the button for etc test panel is grayed out in the devices section.

  According to the NOR-DAQ 8.9.5 readme, both the 6210 BNC and the PCI6024E are supported for my XP system.

  Clues as to how I could get both work?

  Thanks for the reply. I solved the problem by uninstalling OR-DAQ 8.9.5 and installation 8.9 (because 8.9.5 wouldn't work with my LabView 7.1). Now, the two devices work fine.

  I just got an old project, the VI has been primarily designed using the DAQCard-6024E map. Since we would be upgrading the equipment and the DAQCard-6024E serves not long. However, they want to keep the similar façade. I am trying to convert the drop-down menu that I can use with USB-6221 with Windows 7, but I don't know how. Can anyone help?

  Hi smoothenigne007,

  After watching your upgrade.  All your writing VI should use the same task.  There is no need to close this task until the end of the program.  In addition, you can remove all the time because they do not allow the task close a loop.  I did a performance highlighted with your code and you can see that the first task was not allowed at the time wherever the data reached the second task.  When you try to create the second task, the error is generated.  Because you do not give me multiple writes to the same port there is no need to open and close the task each time.  Here is a link that will explain a little more about the DAQmx driver works.

• Digital triggering PCI-6024E problem

  In my view, the PCI-6024E is intended to support that integrates digital triggering. However, I get the following message if poster every time I try a digital triggering:

  "Error-200452 is produced in property Node DAQmx trigger (arg 1) in DAQmx Start Trigger (PowerPlay) .vi:1-> relaxing test.vi.

  Possible reasons:

  Vital statistics: Property specified is not supported by the device or is not applicable to the task.

  I'm on 8.9 DAQmx and Labview 8.6.

  I've included the simple vi, I tried to test a digital triggering with where I made some stupid mistakes.

  I want to get the analog output on the physical output signal. In my LabVIEW diagram, I develop the DAQ assistant and configure ao0 as analog output. The tension I want hovel is analog - 5v to + 5 volts. Terminal block, what will be the output port analog physical that I measure this voltage.

  In MAX, you can simply right-click on the device and select 'device pinouts. The DAQ Assistant will also show pinout.

• Countertop terminals does not work

  Hi all

  I have a 6024E DAQ card and a terminal of SCB - 68. I continued to work on the terminals of the meter but can't get success.  I tried to connect a series of square waves (100 Hz, 0 ~ 5V) to the port of GPCtr0_Source and + 5V from the port of GPCtr0_Gate. With respect to the program, I tried several examples of Labview and DAQ assistant, but just can't get the counter working. (The account number remains zero.) I also failed to generate an output of GPCtr0_OUT signal.

  I just want to confirm you if the wiring of the GPCtr0_Source and the GPCtr0_Gate is correct or not.  Your response or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  Hey, Peng.

  Your configuration is correct.  However, it is not necessary to connect a + 5V signal to the Ctr0-gate terminal.  The specific counter for your E Series device fittings are available in the help OR-DAQmx:

  

  Are you able to detect the PCI-6024E able and Automation Explorer (MAX) or the Windows Device Manager?

  If it is detected, what Application development environment (ADE) do you use for counting digital events or generate a Pulse Train?  Have you tried using test panels in MAX?

  I use the 6024E and trying to send a signal with an analog output.

  However, at the same time, I would like to send a negation of this the other analog output signal.

  It seemed simple until I realized that this timed task alone is supported at a time.

  You should be able to put the two channels in the same spot.  Not had time to test this, but it should work.
