64-bit computer can function as a 32 bit XP with Windows 7 Professional?
I have a Windows 7 64-bit (Home Premium). I have a program that requires 32-bit XP. I have hardward virtualization. I thought to buy windows 7 Professional, but first I need to know if the computer/windows 7 Professional will allow 32 bit XP as an option to download and it will work on my 64 bit system.
Yes, this is how it works. For example, you may have an older version of a program that only works on Windows XP when running always your most recent applications on Windows 7 64 bit at the same time.

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed and would like to change to Windows 7 32 bit. How can I do this?
Original title: Harold
Usually this is impossible on computers with Windows 7. In almost all cases, you need to go to the store, buy Windows 7 32-bit and use the CD to install it on your computer. This also requires the deletion of your system, you will need to reinstall all your programs and settings.

Hi Johanna,.
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I understand that you can not use the USB in Windows 7.
I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely help you with this
1. you get any error message?
2 have you tried using different USB ports?
3. any other USB key works on the computer in question?
4. do the USB works on any other computer?
5 have had any changes made to the computer before the show?
Please follow the methods.
Method 1:
Run the Microsoft fixit for the link.
Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us
Method 2:
As all devices have same also have USB device associated drivers. Appropriate sometimes drivers not detected after initial installation so reinstalling the drivers can fix the problems.
You can check after uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers if you are able to connect. You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
(a) click Startand then click Control Panel.
(b) click system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.
(c) Note if the control panel is in Classic view, double-click Systemand then click on Device Manager.
(d) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
(e) in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.(f) repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.
We would be more than happy to help you if the steps above did not solve the problem.

Have Photoshop Elements since 2001. A new computer with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. It does work on my new computer. Which version is MORE SIMILAR to the old version that I have, which will take place on W7P - 64? Thanks for any help. Popjer
You should probably just download the demo version of the EP 12 and see if you can live with it.
Download a free trial version or buy Adobe products | Adobe Downloads
That being said, you tried to install PES 1 on your computer?
How much free space is on your hard drive?
You have Internet Explorer 10 or 11?
PSE 1 can run on windows 7 x 64, if certain conditions are met.

Remote Desktop does not work
Hello
I have a desktop PC with windows XP (Professional) on this subject, but I can't access to the pc through the remote desktop tool. I already checked several options, but nothing seems to work. I don't even get an error message, the window just those which blinks and nothing happens...
Could you please help?
This is wat I already checked:
-"allow users to connect remotely...". ' is running
-TCP/IP listening on port 3389
-Terminal services are started
-J' tried connecting to Windows 7 and Windows XP, nothing works
-Ping the ip address of the client PC works fine
If you have any other ideas, I would be very gratefull!
Thanks to advandce
You will probably need to open port 3389 on your router so that it maps on the computer that is tuned to the connections of the DRC. It seems that you did all the other steps, but your router can prevent the connection to go anywhere. Here's a detailed guide to configure your router for DRC that can provide some guidance.

I use 2 machines to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32-bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.
The network works fine with one question. When I add a new file on the same machine and try to access this new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I have to disconnect the network drive of the machine with the new folder, and then map a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder appears in Windows Explorer on the second machine.
It's very frustrating when I want to add a file attachment to e-mail from another machine and it does not appear until I disconnect and re - map the drive.
I hope this all make sense. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? I don't remember this problem when my network was XP Pro machines.
Thanks for your help.
Thank you for your help.
The I work around this problem is to do step 1 and step two, as you suggest. I haven't restarted the computer though - I will also try it. I have also not tell abled my ESET NOD32 Antivirus software either - I'll try that too.The network drive I'm seeing 'change' on does not refresh by itself, when I press F5 or go to view/update.Search Google indicates that this refreshing a network drive issue to show a newly created folder, etc. is a long time, Windows 7 problem.I would like your ideas on the potential problem of Windows 7 found on Google. Thanks again for your help.Bill -

I have a new computer with Windows 7 Professional, Office 2007, Adobe XI. I just created a word document and tried save it in PDF format, but the PDF option does not appear in the menu dropdown. Any ideas please? Thank you.
What is "Adobe XI" - Reader or Acrobat?
But, "Save as Adobe PDF" is a function of Word, independent of this Adobe software, you have installed.

Can not find to re-setup disk for Windows XP Professional
Hello... I know there have been similar questions, but... My laptop Dell what inspiron 6000 has worked well with Windows XP Professional for three years - until, of course, the extended warranty has expired. A bad cluster in my hard disk was forcing me to have the hard drive replaced. I could find no longer reinstall drive came with the laptop and one installed the techie seems to be a trial version for 30 days. I borrowed a disc of relocation from a friend, but it was rejected because it was an older version of professional that was on my computer. I contacted Dell, but I was told there was nothing they could do. It is impossible (at least it was for me) to get a response from Microsoft, much less a solution.
Dell (or Microsoft) is not a means to check that it is the computer that I bought and all I want to do is get a license key for this computer from my serial number or the Express Service Code, or other?
I wouldn't spend more money in order to get Windows XP Professional re-installed.
Suggestions? Thank you!
