6500 has more: black impression fades after a few pages

The first time I tried to copy several pages at once on my 6500 to nine more all-in-one black (horizontal) Bacon has become impression after only three or four pages, and then disappear completely subject to halfway through the next page.  A few days later, I tried to print a note on 20 pages long, and again, after the first few pages the impression become e.t.a., then completely disappeared.  Depending on the software, the ink level is fine, and if I turn the printer off for a while and then restart it, individual pages, including the diagnosis page shows very well.  What should I do so that it can print several pages at a time?

Thank you!

It would not be an interaction between the magenta ink supply and the black printing problem.  It is possible that the black ink supply sits well in support of transport. If you have already reinstalled the supply, I would say that the next.  Also check the date of guarantee of ink as shown on this page, even if it is unlikely that you have old cartridges.  The other possibility is a bubble of air to the print head.  This could be authorized by running a few routines to clean printhead from the front panel.

If this does not resolve the issue I suggest you Contact HP for warranty repair.

  • HP 6500 a Plus: HP 6500 has more won't copy

This old all-in-one device has served reliably for many years until today.  It prints and scans but won't copy glass.  I unplugged the wall for 30 seconds and then tried a second time with the same results.  Help!

    Hi @nsbguy,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have problems of the flat bed scanner glass copy on your printer HP Officejet 6500 has more. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand that this printer has been very reliable for you, which is nice to hear. I see that you are able to print and scan, but they are not able to copy from the glass. I guess that when you scan using the ADF?  If the printer is capable of scanning, it should be able to copy.

To try to determine the cause, I will need more information.

    • Are you able to scan using the glass flat?
    • What happens when you try to copy?
    • What is the error message that you receive?
    • Are you getting what output it, or is it empty?
    • What you're trying to copy?
    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

I would also try to update the firmware of the printer. Click here to download it.

In the meantime, to help determine the cause, try the steps outlined in this document, HP Officejet 6500 has e-all-in-one printer series (E710) - copy and Scan outputs are completely black.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • HP Officejet 6500 has more by using a different IP address than before

I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more. Until yesterday, the printer worked wirelessly with my Mac OS 10.6.8 using the same IP address in IPv4 as the computer. I ran the HP Network Config page and it shows an IP address different today that it did. Is the message that I get when I send a document to print wireless: network host 192.168.1.101 is busy try again in 10 seconds.

I checked the IP address of the printer and it is 192.168.1.100 (not 101). Therefore, they do not speak with each other. I treated all the solutions that I can find on the HP network to see if I can get the two survey periods to match and nothing seems to work. I turned off, turn off router, off modem, printer is off, turned off computer and lit them all back. No help.

Any suggestions? Can I print using USB, but it's embarrassing.

Something doesn't look good - maybe that I misunderstood... You say above, your computer and your printer had the same IPaddress and, when this is the case, you were able to print. Now, the printer and the computer have different IP addresses and now, you are not able to print. If this summary is correct, that then it seems to me that it should be exactly the reverse.

If the IP addresses were the same, there is a conflict between devices, a bit like a mailman trying to deliver mail to two different locations which have the same addresses... What place receives the mail? It is normal for all network devices have their own unique IP address - how each device gets its own mail... or data packets.

From the sounds of things, your printer is 100 but the MAC OS think its 101. Therefore, the print job is sent to 101 and never happens at the printer. You have two options... tell the OS that the printer is located at 192.168.1.100 or that, to avoid this problem in the future, on the IP address of the printer a static address, just guessing anything below 100, as 192.168.1.50 and then specify the operating system that the printer is located to 192.168.1.50.

To make the choice of the latter, you must use your internet browser (Safari) and navigate to the 192.168.1.100 address. There is a web interface for your printer. Look for the network settings, then you can change the way that the IP address is obtained from dynamic (DHCP) static. And, after that, you need to find the IP of 192.168.1.50. It is also important to complete the subnet mask that will be 255.255.255.0. Finally, if your printer includes "web applications", you should also check the DNS addresses. You can use: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS servers) or 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS servers)

Note that when you save / apply the changes, you will lose your connection to the webinterface of the printer as the printer will have a new address. To return to the printer web interface, access the new static IP address.

As far as to say where actually the MAC OS printer, the simplest option, as appropriate, is to use the HP tool to add a network printer or a device. To do this, AFTER you change the IP address. The HP software will scan the network printer and it should give you a result that shows the printer to the new static IP address. Installing and if possible, the name of the printer with a few references of "static HP or the"HPat192.168.1.50"set as default printer and remove the old definition of HP printer.

The other option to speak the printer MAC must use Add a printer via system preferences > printer/Fax. I'm fairly certain that the MAC tools can analyze the LAN... in any case, it will be a more complicated procedure. Better for a user MAC more warned give assistance if you go this route.

    Hope this helps

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more fax keyboard disabled

    Hello experts,

I have a printer officejet 6500 has more, and I have questions sometimes when you send a fax.

In some cases, after dialing the phone number of receiver, automatic voice ask redirect the fax to a number given (eg. "dial 26 Fax").

Anyway, the keypad of the printer is disabled after dialing the phone number and I can not send the fax. How can I activate the keyboard when calling the digit numbers requested by automatic voice?

Hi there ofblack, welcome to the forums

I saw your post on the fax concern you have. First of all, I suggest you to check on the Page. 48 of the User Guide , which is to monitor dial to see if this information will help you. As long as you enter the numbers fast enough, the fax needs to work with the numbering screen, otherwise, you will need to use the phone to enter all the guests under send a fax manually from a phone.

This guide is the standard troubleshooting for fax so that might help: I can't send or receive faxes

  • Anyone successful printing with mac by HP office jet 6500 has more?

    Hi all

My HP office jet 6500 has found a router and is connected wireless (so has IP too).

My mac (os 10.7) added printing

    OfficeJet 6500 E710n-z

    After

    Configuration (configuration of the device).

But when I tried to print in the text editor says "printer not responding".

    In

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00041866

I can't find HP office jet 6500 has more in the list of the available network all-in-one printer.

    Any comment is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi dnamkr,

Have you also tried to scan from your Mac? Similar problems with it?

I wonder if it could be related to the router, you have the Officejet and Mac connected for not totally supported Hello (mDNS/Multicast).

What you can try is first to add the printer via IP. Open on your Mac system preferences and then go to print & fax. Click the Plus sign icon to add a new queue of the printer. Then choose IP - protocoll choose HP Jetdirect taken and then insert the IP address of the printer in the address field and add the printer. Now try printing with this new created printer queue.

  • HP Office Jet 6500 has more scan to desktop

I have a HP Office Jet 6500 has more with a Scanner. The printer works ok and I can run it from an icon on the desktop.  However I can understand how to get a workable icon to the scanner link.  I have recently installed Windows 8.1

Yes, I can reach him through 8.1, but it has a different, less flexible interface.  I also get assistance from HP print and Scan doctor.   But it's a lot of time. Help please.

    Hello Krajewskit,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.

It seems you are trying to find an easier way to access the scanner for your printer software after upgrade the computer to Windows 8.1. I will try to help you with this.

Condition that after update the software of the printer is still installed and working properly, there should be some options to make it easier to use the HP scanning application.

You can if you want to uninstall and reinstall, here is the link of the software: HP Officejet full feature software and driver.

Provide the software is installed correctly, you should see an icon on the desktop that resembles your printer. If you click on this (called the HP printer Assistant), it will open a window where you can access the scanning application from. If it is not on the desktop, you can check you printers folder for the same icon. The software is not installed correctly, if it does not work.

You can also add the HP Scan application directly on the desktop.
to do this go to the screen type start 'this PC' or 'Computer' you should see an icon developed for either clicking on it. From there, go towards the local disk (c :)), now in the program files (x 86), find the HP folder. Once here, there should be a folder for your printer, open that folder. There should be a 'bin' folder that opens. Here, you should see an icon for HP Scan. Right click on that, and you should have the ability to send and then create desktop shortcut. This will give you what you are looking for.

Hope that helps you out, please post on the Forums of HP.

  • False paper jam report - 6500 has more (E710n)

My 6500 has more (E710n) reported a paper jam.  I have found no jam after following all the "clear paper jam" and "Troubleshooting" procedures. • OfficeJet 6500 has more and XP

I just bought a 6500 a more printer.  I was able to load the drivers and was able to print for a few minutes.  Then my pc under XP sp3 froze.  I thought it was just a reboot from installation.  After restarting the PC, I kept freezing.  He would go if I just left it to the desktop.  As soon as I open an app, it would freeze within 3 minutes.  It wouldn't matter if it is IE, Word or starts to scan a document.

I restarted in safe mode, found no problem to connect to the event.  I could reboot and download printer drivers.  After reboot, I could open up Word and IE without freezing.  I downloaded the 6500 has more base driver and installed it.  It does the same thing.

If I boot in safe mode, I am able to open programs and print.  As soon as I boot normally, it freezes.

The gel is to listen to, click on the player for a few seconds, then the cursor will freeze or disappear, and nothing works.  Caps lock does nothing.  No disk activity.  CPU fan stops after a few seconds.  Just a nice office with Word open.

If anyone could provide suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

As there is no suggestion, I rebuilt my PC.  Installed the printer drivers before Micrsoft all its patches.

Finally, was able to get the software to install.

  • How to print from my ipad to the officejet 6500 has more?

I read that there may be something else than necessary. I want to print directly to the Officejet 6500 has more. Apple said ths is an Air Print printer able to do this. I don't take this monster out of the box until I know he will do what I want without a lot of trouble. Thank you.

OK, so you were talking about requiring the update.  It is difficult to say that all depends on if it came with the new firmware or not.  It is not really relevant, however, because it will be updated as soon as Web Services.  This process takes a few minutes.  There is no computer necessary for the update of the firmware as long as the printer has internet access (which is directly connected to a router via ethernet or wireless).  Yes, a connection ad hoc, you will be able to print from the iPad, but you can use its 3 G connection instead of through your router.  It can only support a single WiFi also.  Go ahead and set up the printer and keep me posted on what happens.

BTW - what is the problem with your PC that it cannot access the internet?

    Hello

Where do you find the printer driver? From the CD? I believe that the CD is released before Windows 8. This can help:
