in any case if none of the parties do not work with my computer thoes pls tell me and possibly give me a recommendation on what maps and power to use, I want to be able to play most of the games in high or ultra with fall of small frame.  in any case thank you for taking the time to read this!

Hello

Consult this publication of the article.  Open your PC and a few measure ensure that the graphics card will adjust. While the PC is open, measure the distance between the power supply and the optical drive.  Feeding you are considering is 1.6 "longer. It compress the space between the power supply and the optical drive, making it very tight wiring and may bend the cables too.  I suggest that you consider the CX600 Corsair or CS650m they match better is physical size with the existing power supply.

The NVIDIA GTX 660 is a map of excellent graphics for PCs that have a legacy BIOS.  The new higher level cards will not run in your PC.

If you are not sure that the NVIDIA GTX 660 has sufficient performance, then try one or more game simulators that are available on the internet.

These articles HOWTO HPshould be useful.

The processor and the existing memory should be enough for most modern games.

  • 660 GTX will fit in HPE h8 - 1360t?

I am concerned about the clearances in the case. Currently, he has the small 630 GT, the only option when I bought, that does not cut it, serious inconsistency with the i7 - 3770K for Flight Simulatr X (and most of the other games too, I guess). Opted for the 600W PSU, should be good enough here. Any other suggestions welcome Nvidia also, but no Ti cards.

    TIA,

    JBarrow

And the answer is Yes, the 660 GTX will fit. POWER supply 600W I opted for has enough juice, the card is more than I expected, in terms of performance. Always nice when that happens to be precise, the map is the Superclocked EVGA GeForce GTX 660.

    Hello

Is your HP HPE-112y in the original configuration or did you change?  Review the specifications.

If you have any questions, please tell us what specific questions do you want to solve.  Have you run any diagnostic?

Casual, without details, I suggest you a card larger video with a power as starters. Another suggestion would be to replace the hard drive with an SSD.

Have you tried increasing the amount of memory by default assigned to Minecraft?

I have apalogize, I know that this has been done before, but I'm looking for different software or updates not upgrades.

A couple of weeks, I tried to watch a movie Blu - ray (made before 2013) through HP MediaSmart DVD, when I put the movie in him would ask if I wanted to check the updates, so I said yes, he started the process of loading and asked again if I wanted to check the updates. Finally, I took the film and went into settings, watched in updates and there was an update. So I chose the update and HP MediaSmart DVD HP TouchSmart DVD changed. After that, the movie played fine.

Now I'm watching a Blu - ray movie (made in 2013) and still once he asks me if I want to check the updates, so I took the film out, went into settings, that update, but there is nothing there. I put the movie back to try again and he asks me if I want to check the updates, so I push No., he would say "disk ready for play. Press Play to start. "So I press start and it will immediately message asking if I want to check the updates. So then the movie is still in I go into the settings, that update, and there is still nothing.

All DVD for the 2013 game and rain fines. All comics before 2013 play fine. All BDs for 2013 keep asking check updates.

Now, I find another reason that could not work the BDs is because my DVD/BD players could be updated.

Device: hp BD O DH4O3S SCSI CdRom Device & hp DVD a DH16AAL SCSI CdRom Device
    Driver provider: Microsoft
    Driver date: 21/06/2006
    Driver version: 6.1.7601.17514
    Digital signer: Microsoft Windows

I clicked on the update for both driver and said that I was aware.

I find no new updates for HP TouchSmart DVD on CyberLink website. Where can I check updates? In addition, what I have to update all of the HP MediaSmart Software Suite to make it work (and where I do that)? Are there updates for DVD/BD drives and if there is where can I find them?

Someone, please help me to find the updates.

Sorry it took so long to get back to that.

I finally got a new monitor (a long while ago):

HP Pavilion 22bw IPS monitor 21.5 backlit "

    1920 x 1080

    VGA, DVI - D, HDMI

So I tried again a movie BD 2013 on the HP MediaSmart/TouchSmart DVD thanks to the new screen and he asked again if I want to check for an update, but it worked fine on PowerDVD from CyberLink 13 (which means I have to buy ). So I have not watched all BD movies on my computer for awhile.

I recently bought a new computer and restored my old computer to its factory condition and reinstalled all programs and installed the updates I could find.

After I restored the computer I tried BD 2013 & 2015 on HP MediaSmart/TouchSmart DVD movies and he even asked if I want to check for an update. It's been 2 years and still no new updates! Looks like HP MediaSmart has become obsolete. I don't know if PowerDVD 13 still works because I obviously don't buy it.

Thus, it seems that if someone wants to play movies BD 2013 or newer that they should ensure that they have the right connection between the monitor and the computer and buy a new BD software to replace the old software obsolete.

With my new computer, I'll be closing this and boxing upward. So I don't need to worry about this more.

Thank you for your time and your help. And good luck to anyone else who might have the same problem.

  • Upgrade the video card on HPE-112Y

Hey, I've been looking to update my video card in the HPE-112Y, but honestly, I know almost nothing about computer hardware. How will I know what types of cards will work, or adapt? Do I need a better diet? What types of cards are actually good and worth the money? Help please, thank you.

furrysparks has writtenkay, one last question. These two cards physically enters the computer?

Hello furrysparks, here are the dimensions on both cards.

    NVIDIA GTS 250 product Dimensions: 9.5 x 2 x 4.4 inches

    Dimensions of the XFX HD-577 X 8.8 "x 4.4" card

Remember that the cable connects to the back, so it will take just a little more space in the case that these dimensions.

Just to be safe, I unplug the power cord and remove the Panel and measure the space between the end of the slot of the motherboard at the back of the case and the front of the PCIe x 16 slot. This measure should be at least 10 to 10.5 inches for the Nvidia card and 9, 5-10, 0 inches for the XFX card.

I noticed that the Nvidia card has each of the HDMI, VGA, DVI connectors while the XFX card has only 2 DVI and a mini-Port connector. This cannot be a factor if you use DVI or have or are looking for an adapter DVI to HDMI if you wish.

  • Paviollion HP HPE 112Y - no video SIgnal from the computer - monitor works

I have a desktop HP Pavilion HPE 112Y.  About two weeks, the video has stopped working.  I replaced the HDMI cable, we replaced a VGA cable, etc with no luck.  I plugged in the screen of my laptop and it works fine, then it is certainly the office.  All I get is a message "No. Sigmal video»

I tried to connect the monitor directly on the edge of VGA video connection - without going through the video card.  No luck.

.  I can not get the system starts from the CMOS or restore screen.  Hard drive runs, but goes into the cycle of continuous type "whiring.

System is about 2 years old, running Windows 7 64 bit.

    Help!

    Hello

    Try this procedrue:

Disconnect the PC and open it. Clean all the dust. Carefully, remove and replace all the cables towards the mother board one at a time. Do the same for memory DIMM and the video and the sound of cards if you have a.  You can buy a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the heatsink from the CPU.  Plug your PC back in and give it a go.

If the above does not help this procedure: power.  Do not skip steps.

Finally, try to clear the CMOS memory.

    Hello
My 660 GTX does not work at Win8 but 9500gt (older) works very well. It recognizes automaticlly of (older) graphics card, but when I put new nop... just 640 resolution and when I move the mouse I see blurry letters... Graphics (both) works with Win Xp without any problem. Can it be BIOS? I see this problem only with this Win8...

I found a problem. It was connected with my ram. I don't know why, but windows 8 see a problem with the connection between gtx660 and my ram, so I just removed a ram and left then. Works. Time to buy ddr3 and the new motherboard ^^ problem solved

  • HDD WD20EARS to HPE 112Y - power to SATA power connectors - only P4 Molex available?

    Hi all

I bought a new drive HARD for Western Digital (WD20EARS) and when I went to install in my HPE 112y

I saw that the harness for my existing WD10EADS had the usual black SATA power connector (labeled P9)

    plugged in,

still on the same spot next to my main HARD drive did not exist another SATA Black Power Connector for my new HARD drive but a great white molex 4 driver female connector P4

I searched through the bundle of cables, Power Supplies, but I have not found another available black SATA power connector.

So very quickly what I thought would be a simple upgrade of HARD drive stopped me in my tracks.

    So, my questions are...

    (1) can I buy an adapter's cable to power the existing WD10EADS as well as my new HDD WD20EARS?

    (2) is there a short jumper cable that allows you to convert the white Molex P4?

    (3) should I just upgrade the existing LiteOn model of block of power SUPPLY PS-5301 - 08HA / power 300 WATT?

If so, what is a good upgrade and did so for my HPE 112y? Necessary power, 400-500-700 watts

I have a gateway FX541S with a power of 700FB1E Delta Electronics which has 3 SATA power connectors

that align perfectly to each of its 3 HARD drive location... Very well!

That's why I was surprised when I saw the problem I had with my RESUME, I was expecting the same thing.

I never thought that I would have a cable problem, after that I got my new HARD drive.

The HP Pavilion Elite 112y has two discs, Blu - Ray and DVD as well as a Radeon HD4350 Video card and now two HDD.

Is 300 watts enough, even though both of my HARD drives WD Green drives are.

Unlike my front door where security HARD drive in place with a lever and blade in the front or side according to the case law can be too LOL!

My HPE 112y has a cage for two HARD disks that screw in place... I don't have the necessary screws.

Where can I get these very short screws to ensure my WD HARD drive?

I tried Lowes with no luck.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I went simple and fast 5 minutes HDD Upgrade which I have just done to my front door, a serious project with my RESUME.

I still love my HP, but not too friendly!

    Bud

    Hi again,

    Update.

I went to my local computer store and got an adapter 'Y' which connects Molex 4 male pins on the computers Molex 4-pin female connector, then to a 'Y' for two SATA power connectors.

They were kind enough to give me a bag of screws for the installation of my HARD drive in the cage.

HDD installed in the cage, connected new red SATA cable and power cable SATA and everything has been working well since!

    Thanks again,

    Bud

  • 660 GTX with CC 2014

    Hello

I've updated the CC 2014 first, and now I can't use the GPU acceleration because first said my 660 GTX is not certified.

Given that my graphics card, I bought less than 2 months ago, it's a bit annoying, especially since I was looking forward to the new CC 2014.

Are there opportunities to see the 660 certified in the near future?

    Thank you

    Cédric.

I "solved" the problem by adding the model of my card to the cuda_supported_cards.txt and it worked.

I must say that it is strange because my card was not in this file for the previous version of the CC, but the first didn't complain at the time.

  • X 51 starts, the potential problems of 660 GTX.

Computer is only a few days old - Alienware x51.

First thing I did was install the drivers recommended to me from the dell site after entering my service tag and OS - Windows 8 64bit. The video card driver that dell told me to install was 307.07.

The next day, whilst playing a game, the screen froze and became covered in blue squares before restarting. Upon restart during the bios loading, the screen is covered in horizontal blue lines. Once bios loading has finished and windows starts trying to load the screen goes black and my monitor does not recognise my computer even though when i unplug the VGA it knows that is is unplugged. The computer will remain on with the screen black until I hold down the power button. Monitor and cable are running fine. this happened each time i tried to start the computer. After leaving it be for a few hours it turned on normally again. Thinking it was an overheating or a driver issue with my gtx 660 I installed a gpu temp program - Temps reached mid 70C during intense gaming. I also then went to the nvidia site and updated to the latest gtx 60 driver - 310.90 instead of 307.07. Around this point after installing some new apps etc i started to get constant blue screens, either - driver verifier detected violation or unexpected kernal mode trap. After removing my 3rd party anti virus and settling with windows defender this somewhat remedied the blue screen problem.

I then ran a video card stress test from the dell site. Part way through the test the screen froze with blue (and yellow/red) squares, requiring a restart. upon restart the screen had the same blue line on it and would not start. after a few goes it eventually did.

Then during a skype video call I had the screen freeze with the blue squares again before restarting itself. The blue lines appear on start up again during the bios load before the screen going black. This has stayed this way and i have not been able to turn it on.

I turned the computer on and through holding F8 navigated my way to restoring my system using the alienrespawn in order the restore my pc to how it was when it was sent to me (without the drivers I installed).

However, this did not work and i still can not turn the computer on as the blue lines appear and the screen still goes black .

Additionally, now I cant enter safe mode as I need to finish setting up windows (entering country and email etc like I had to when I first turned it on).

I have waited half a day and the same still happens - during bios load horizontal blue lines. after bios load screen goes black, computer stays on, requires forced shut down.

I have emailed tech support and am waiting on their response also.

    Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz, 8GB (2 X 4GB) Dual Channel DDR3 up to 1600MHz, 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 1TB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200RPM) 32MB Cache, Windows 8, 64-bit, English.

I had the GPU replaced, and haven had any problems since.

My theory as to why the first GPU did not work, it's that the fan would not increase to cool. So when I played a demanding game it has overheated and fried.

I am using MSI afterburner with the new GPU, to set a more conservative fan speed and keep it cool.

  • HPE-112Y. Replaced the HARD drive. Stuck in the 'unique process.

Yesterday, I replaced my HARD drive of 1 TB with a new 1 TB of HARD drive. Then I started reinstalling windows 7 with ghat drives came with my pc. Everything was fine except that I am now stuck on the unique configuration screen. upstairs, he says not to turn off during this process and wait until you are prompted to restart or shut down. I have not yet been invited and stayed in this step for nearly 24 hours. What I am doing wrong? Oh, I can click on the Start button and everything seems in order there as well. I would be very happy to help. I am not new to electronics but not completely trained. THX.

Sorry that I was unable to come back here last night. Internet is down for some time.

BUT... I was able to get this figured out on mine I did not restart the PC and insert my records of recovery again and let it do its thing all over again. For some reason, the first time, it seems that it was impossible to write the partition part but the second time around all went well, and I'm in place and running. Thanks for the effort of all those who have posted their comments here. I don't know about this being an AF HARD drive, but it seemed to have worked himself can you all have a fabulous weekend
