• HP P6 - 2107c: sound card keep settings for recording level.

  Sound level for the line or microphone will remain unresolved.  It keeps jumping back to cut and zero.  Settings for probe or reading will hold.  I tried to uninstall the driver and reinstall it but this is the same condition applies.  Volume for the microphone or line will run for a few seconds or a few minutes and then comes back to a State of mute.

  Any ideas on how to resolve this short of installing its own card.  I use the IDT located on the motherboard.

  Given that you have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, it may be necessary to do a full System Recovery using the recovery discs that you made when you purchased the computer.  Once a computer has been used for several years, it is not uncommon that the glitches to occur.  I do a system restore at least once a year.  I love the way that the computer runs after ended.  If you decide to do, you need to back up your personal data before recovery.

• Quick Launch Taskbar won't hold settings...

  To-do bar / Quick Launch will not hold settings at the next startup. This means that when I adjust the top margin of the taskbar and the right margin "pinches", when I restart, settings are default and lost to what is already in stuckrects2. A, as far as I know, NOTHING to with hide/no hide/auto hide/blocking etc. I know that there are many other registry keys that might be involved, but I still have to find the keys or parameters of dex/hex for key values. Does anyone have a list of the values for each of the 40 bytes (words) stuctrects2? Thank you

  As a test, I had exported the test account taskbarwinxp in a directory of test account-keeping. When I rebooted my regular account, and after that I saved (exported) taskbarwinxp, I replaced the key test for regular and rebooted. When the Office was re-established, the test settings (which is what wanted) were correct. I re - put in the bar of tasks and rebooted. However, the adjusted parameters were ignored. That experience has not, except to point to something else.

  So frustrating! I use brushes for years in my HAVE version 10 on my Mac. On my laptop Dell 64-bit, 2 GB of RAM, AI CS5, Windows 7, we one dispute after another. After diving through the forums and Google I finally understood how to do this, then find all my brushes and pencils reset their dimensions and their preferences after each move. And I can't find any solution. ARRGHHH! I want a small, race in the brush, pencil or ink or something, very regular, but every time I do a brush stroke resets to 1 pt uniform uniform and I get these huge blobs. Sheesh! I can't believe how far easier to brush down use declined. I want to just take my pen and draw...

  Hi, new and first post so I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place, I hope that someone will tell me otherwise.  Have computer laptop Pavilion G72 9 months with OS Win 7.  I was wondering if I can uninstall HP Support Assistant on it (not really computers does) so that it won't keep coming and wanting to do things - or me for them, do on the computer?  I'm not entirely sure that it's a necessary software and will occupy the space and not something there.  Would really appreciate if someone can advise on this please, thanks in advance for your help.

• Basic tips to keep your printer running longer.

  Everyone whats to get the most for their money, but many people do not know or realize, that you have to put in a little effort to keep things smooth.  Just as if you want your car to last for 1 million miles, you need to do regular maintenance.  If you want printer last more than 2 years, you must do a regular maintenance for her as well.  Granted it is not oil to change, or the transmission to the service, but there are rollers that need cleaned and nozzles that need to rinse.
