8-bit project, no banding in preview / rendering individual frames, but bands occurs on the final rendering.

I work with 8-bit video that must be highly classified and darkened.

While I was working on, I noticed when I step in the timeline and stop to look at a framework, strips are produced, but as soon as I change a setting of one of the effects of one of my adjustment layers, banding goes and everything is mixed smoothly.

When I visited on an image preview of the same section, the output is well mixed too.

However, when I visited the final video coder via media, banding is back and very hard.

Why is this happening? If I'm in 8 bit mode, why and how is after effects able to show me these perfectly mixed previews not banded?

Bands will arrive in 8-bit images if there not enough space in the color values to make the transitions smooth. For example, if you have a blue gradient which covers 250 pixels and blue 200 to 250 changes in value you will have to 10 bands of color in the gradient. If your preview is full resolution and magnification factor is 100% you will see bands if you look closely. When you return to compression MPEG problem strips is increasing especially in areas smooth transitions of color because very large blocks of pixels are averaged together and you get only a few images of the color information that represent the actual pixels in the project. You can try to improve the color of artifacts in Adobe Meida encode by checking the high quality in color options and you can also reduce color artifacts by activating multi pass rendering and increase the flow of data a bit.

The best practice is to add some noise to the shooting so the MPEG compression more data that evolves to work with. This will tend to hide the strips by decomposing generally straight between the color values.

If you do heavy color of ranking you should show your project to 16 or 32 bit color still better. This will remove strips in 8-bit images. Unless you have a little bit of 10 or better track and a GPU capable of driving, it is really hard to judge bands by watching a preview of the model. The info panel should show the information of the right color, but it is very difficult to actually see in the monitor, especially if you're judging a frame to nothing less than full resolution and 100%. The perfectly blended frames are probably artifacts or your eye is fooled. Purge the cache of the images to see exactly what is happening in the framework. Depending on your graphics card may be fouling up previews trying to create previews of superior quality that actually exist preferences. You could also get some funky video original data if the source is a highly compressed MPEG stream. The CPU can also add to preview search OK when the values aren't really there because on average it is the small amount of color and luminance values in the 'master' frames and frames him "gee I'm not really a framework but here is a bit of data on where I think that pixels will". Don't forget that the I'm not really a frame number box frames by 2 or 4 to one. Actual color even in real managers information can be compressed on average in large blocks as well. All this contributes to the subtle color changes problems. This is why assistance of noise.

I hope this helps.

  • Previews - allows you to use or not for the final export

First of all, I read through the success of forum type "Use Previews" and clicking on ask now.

I read an article written by Todd Kopriva who said: it is not recommended to use previews for final export declaring may result in low-quality final output

I read this thread, that says the same thing: "for help to" use found "button is recommended?" "over"

    I'm a bit confused.

I treated video and RGB curves applied to the AVCHD video effects - and it shows a red bar on the time line. I obviously can't read in real time.

    So what I chose is

-Rendered effects in the work area, on all the clips, do not change the settings of the sequence, that is to say with the help of full resolution etc.

-export the timeline with the control to use Previews

Since my previews are rendered with the same resolution as the source, their use in exports, should cause no loss of resolution, according to my understanding. Is this correct?

I apply these effects to 3 angles of camera extends over 3 hours (sorry, I know) and I wanted to do a final output of the multicam sequence.

So I thought about these 2 approaches:

    approach 1:

-adjust the effects on the clips to my satisfaction

-disable them on timeline of source (leading to the Green/no rendering bar that will allow me to read RT without problem)

-create the sequence of them multicam

-go to each element in the sequence multicam and re - activate the effects and then the kickoff of the exportation on the multicam sequence

    approach 2:

-adjust the effects on the clips to my satisfaction on each clip and get to the help of resolution and the enlarged image (to allow RT playback in sequence multicam)

-create the sequence the clips multicam

-then the kickoff of the exportation on the multicam sequence

With these two approaches, I ran into issues with CS6, that once I closed the project and re-opened, agency link lost for rendering files - as well as timelines returned to red and there is no way I can re - link preview files.

(I posted this on the forum here)

so, I came with the approach 3:

-adjust the effects on the clips to my satisfaction on each clip and get to the help of resolution and the enlarged image (to allow RT playback in sequence multicam)

-export each clip using the settings of the source.

-reimport final clips on the new sequence, then create a multicam them sequence

-then the kickoff of the exportation on the multicam sequence

When I play the preview files, obviously I don't see any loss of quality, even in fullscreen, given that I made without changing the sequence settings.

So, my conclusion is that the use of views to export is not recommended IF previews created using either lesser depth resolution or bit as the source.

Appreciate someone confirming my thoughts all or remedy.

The only time where the preview files are useful is when you want to perform a quick export (say for review) where quality is not a problem.

  • error-5093 "the analysis library is not found" in the 64-bit project. But the analysis library is located in the 32-bit project

    Hello

I use the system of Labwindows/CVI 2010 full development in a Windows 7 Professional 64-bit computer. Thus, the analysis library is installed (see the attached file) and the analysis of the options to customize menu library is selected.

I use several function analysis library (WhiteNoise, MaxMin1D, LinFit, etc.). 32-bit projects work very well. 64-bit project there is not link error, the exe file is created, but there are errors like this:

Function WhiteNoise: (return value is 5093 [0xffffffffffffec1b]). The analysis DLL library is not found or cannot be loaded.

Ditto for the other functions of analysis library.

How to use the analysis in 64-bit projects library, is the library of analysis 64 bit compatible?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi DansatB,

Thank you for posting on this forum!

Yes, the advanced analysis library is 64-bit capable. I can do the test on my computer the CVI 2013.

I think it'll be great correctly uninstall your version CVI all ANS reinstall.

  • Difference between the preview rendering Options

    Hello

I'm quite new to using Lightroom and I'd like someone to explain to me in words laymans terms what the difference between the preview rendering options when you import images into Lightroom 3.2.  It seems very difficult to find info on this subject elsewhere.

Any help would be to choose between 'Minimum', 'Embedded & Sidecar', 'Standard' and 1:1 ' to improve my work would be much appreciated.

If that makes a difference...  I work with batches relatively important to nearly 1 000-1 500 raw images I create montages from and convert to JPEG.  I use an iMac i5 of 27 "with 8 GB of ram.

  • Camera shake works in preview, but not in the final rendering.

Hello. I tried Googling and searching forums and coming hands here is empty.

I use After Effects of CS4 with the latest updates.

I have a project with a unique model that contains an AVCHD clip related to an adjustment layer.

I used the earthquake keyframe mode some fake camera shake by manipulating the 'Transform-> Position' field moments adaptation layer keys in the images. If I scrub through or do a preview (press 0 and let pre render) it looks fantastic with the music video of shake exactly how I like it.

But when I save the project and add it to my queue to render the final output has * no * of the camera shake!

I'm completely baffled as to why this might be. That said I only use AE for about a month so it is possible that I have made a simple noob mistake.

The adjustment layer and the images are both the visible value. I see clearly the keyframes in the timeline panel and as I said the preview and cleaning shows the effect in action... But the final result (regardless of the format or resolution) have no shake in them either.

    Help!

I just tried to do exactly the same thing and it works very well here.

If you want, e-mail me your project folder (under the file video source) and I'll take a look: arozenfe (©) adobe.com

  • Problems with the font on the preview and the final rendering styles

    Hello world...

Im having a problem with Robohelp 8 rigth now. When I import a Word document all work very well. and you can se all the content editor of Robohelo just as you have it on your word document, but when you check the overview of the subject, you have any knid of stile on al fonts...

The same thing happened when you generate the page layout.

    pantallazo.JPG

You can see the title in the editor...

    pantallazo2.JPG

but you can not see the style on the preview

is pretty weir because I think that styles get matter fine (you can see them on the editor of HR), but something to happen later.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Sabin

    Hello

It does not work, because your style begins with a number. Rename the style, then it starts with a letter. You can use numbers in a class name, just don't start with them.

    Take a bow

    Willam

PS. a tip: you can change the to a . It is much easier to maintain and easier to applay.

  • Problem Super complicated with rendering (horizontal lines occur in my final output)

So my problem is sort of double.

    1. I create some graphics kinetic typography in AE CS6 for a customer, and when I go the Compositions of the hand, my output file is stretched.  I can't understand why this is happening.  The parameters of my computer are 1920 x 1080 D1/DV NTSC widescreen (1.21), 29.97 Drop Frame (although I changed these settings to try to solve this problem and, "no dice").  Don't forget that I have other comps in main compositions which have completely different parameters.  Some of them are calibrated at 4000 x 4000.

I rendered out as a QuickTime codec 'Animation' 1920 x 1080 (although I changed these settings several times also in an attempt to solve the problem and still "no dice") the output video is always extended.  When I format the output for H.264, I get a caveat which reads the incompatibility of settings.

I found a solution, however.  I drag the media encoder and output format as QuickTime ProRes 422 (or that, is not serious, still get the same problem), deinterlaced, 1920, 29.97, field order: first superior, appearance D1/DV NTSC widescreen 16:9 (2.2121).  Stretching issue fixes, but now I have these horizontal line that occur during the time when there is movement.  I have set all the parameters I mentioned several times and I can't understand why he did this.

Can anyone help with this problem.

Notice that your comp says always personalized. This means that you have changed something. You should always use the presets.

The size of the image does not change because EI is pixel based. In the Composition Panel, if you enable view correcting the format of pixels so you would see the form of the change of model window. For example, when you view a DV (standard non square pixels) in perfect circles of Viewer Comp are oval until you put on pixel aspect ration correction in the Viewer. The number of pixels remains the same. Non square pixels were designed as a way to get digital data on digital broadcasting at a rate reduced data so that digital television would work. For example, a standard TV has a 4:3 and 486 scan image report lines. with the information of the visible image. The standard DV is 720 X 480 pixels. They cut the first 2 and down 4 scan lines because they were in the region of overscan and not visible to most of the viewers for broadcasters filled with missing persons aligns black because it is easy to compress, and then they did the format of the pixels, which is the conversion of a digital bit of information in time for an analogue electron beam moving on the screen at a fixed rate would put 720 of them on a line scan keep the image distorted and circles still circles. Make sense? At the time, it's all digital cameras faster and digital video might work. Now he's okay and nothing is broadcast in the United States in non square pixels. Only still DVD rely on pixels not square to the video of the reading. Same reason is as much information as you could successfully and reliably remove a DVD at the same time the standard was written.

There is absolutely no reason to never work except non square pixels so absolutely, you know exactly what you do and why you do it. AE and all other NLE will automatically adjust images of non square pixels fit in a project of pixels square without distortion.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but now you do. The reason for which only conceivable that someone would never made it or implement a master comp with non square pixels would be they should send the rendering in a digital format that accepts only non square pixels. IOW, if you have an old camera DV DV cassette and a way to digitize that digitally (which has not been manufactured for about 8 or 10 years) and you absolutely have to create a digital format DV master so that you can transfer this basic to the DV tape form digitally (no record) so that you have a digital copy of the video recorded on a format that only people with antiquated equipment can read using only that material so that you do not want to use the DV project (any format of X 720 in the menu drop down) from the beginning in Finnish. In my humble OPINION, all of these formats should be average at the bottom of the list so that a note should be that it is not deprecated square formats to use with caution.

  • There is a possibility to run Labview projects or to set them off from a batch file or if the exist and the ability to control labview or run it from an external application?

Hi, I m a bit new in LabVIEW and I'd like to ask a few questions...

-There is a possibility to run Labview projects or to set them off from a batch file or if the exist and the ability to control labview or run it from an external application?

-One API PI or raspberry beaglebone exists for LabVIEW?

-Power supply Wich can recommend you control with LabVIEW? (some chip solution witn 0 - 30v / 0 - 3A DC)

Thank you very much for your advice!

    Best regards

    Elena

    Elena,

I know raspberry, so no comment on that.

    For the rest:

-Do you want to create tools for developers? If so, we must look in the API of project VI and VI server. If this isn't the case, please compile your application LV as executable and call this one using a batch file.

-LV prefer specific supplies. LV is a programming language. There are several power supply providers (including OR) which provide directly the LV API for their power supplies. So, essentially, the approach is:

    1. choose food that serves your needs.

    2. check if the power supply has a standard interface for programming (such as Ethernet, GPIB, or if the power supply is PXI, is already providing a programming interface!)

    3. check if the LV API (so-called "instrument driver") is available for the device. In the case of a PXI system, get you a device driver (for example NI DCPower).

    4. check if the LV samples are available (for example in the Finder for example LV once you have installed the driver).

  • during the RAM Preview and reading frame counters

I understand that I should be able to display the number
of the Treaty currently framework during a RAM Preview
in both the meter of timeline (in frame display mode) and in the info panel.
This does not work for me, and I'd like to see if I'm missing something.

This is the State of the counters with a current RAM Preview.
The only images update count is at the bottom of the composition window,
and it could not be visible during the processing of a RAM full screen preview.

    RAM PREVIEW CURRENT

    COUNTER_RAMpreview.jpg

This is the status of the counters during the RAM Preview playback.
Playback CTI is roughly 90 of 912 frame, but the counters at the same time the
Chronology and the compose window are frozen at zero, while the Info Panel
is frozen in the last number of the frame in the scenario (the last rendered image).

    READING OF THE CURRENT RAM

    COUNTER_RAMplayback.jpg

During the reading of the space bar, only the counter the composition window displays
the current frame.  The meter of the timeline is frozen in the frame number where
the CTI was stationed during playback started (in this case, frame 0).
The info panel displays only the playback framerate.

    READING OF THE STANDARD PREVIEW

    COUNTER_SpacebarPlayback.jpg

If I stop playing RAM Preview or standard using the space bar
the meter of timeline updates to the frame of the CTI, but if playback resumes
the frozen counter stays where ICT was parked at the resumption of play.
I feel this behavior using frames, timecode, ft + frames and using
    "To present" the RAM previews.

Please tell me I'm doing something wrong.

    > I can't seem to get a current account in the timeline will appear a rendering or reading circumstance

    This does not happen.

  • Get a preview of image files but not the other files

In the Finder (or an alternative file manager) is there a way to show previews of image files, but not for the other files?

With the image files, it will display a preview. With other types of file, a preview is useless and its best to see a standard icon indicating the file type.

Any decent file on all Linux distributions browser lets you choose Preview vs standard icon based on case by case basis depending on the file type. I can't see how to proceed in the Finder (or the various alternatives as TotalFinder). How can I me Finder for this?

The thumbnails, you mean? I don't think that there is a 'decent' solution for OS x. But then again, I don't know everything.

You have posted in forum Windows XP hardware and drivers.  You should have posted in forum Windows 7, probably the forumprograms .

If you post here, remember to include the name of the application that could not be loaded. Is Yahoo Messenger? Something else ("all applications for which I get this error")?

Your question is also confusing: you get this error message every time that you do a reboot?

You can use msconfigor Autoruns (look at the 'Connection' tab) to temporarily disable programs that start automatically when you log in to isolate the application that is causing the problem.
