810 150se want Phoenix BIOS is not accessible?

F10, ESC no key I've read to push doesn't get me anywhere. The USB seems to on a few milliseconds before loading the operating system, AFTER THAT the HP logo and the spinning wheel come and go. I tried 3 different keyboards, in each single USB port. Front and back. Before is not same power load until AFTER I've logged in to Windows. It's the second Phoenix envy, I had, one has been returned due to everything simply does not, that someone had put a phantom of chaos inside. So I bought a more expensive after that statement, and now I'm upset. HP was my server and Desktop purchase during more than a decade and after these last two laps and the last Proliant DL360 G7 and DL380. Lenovo has ALL my stuff. If I can't get this stupid trick to let me in the bios to turn on virtualization, THAT WHY isn't THIS market DEFAULT THESE DAYS? WHY? This tower will also be returned and another company will receive my $2 k.

Options to fix:

1. buy something else, it is a machine garbage for its price and what material should be able to.

2. go to start and type in advanced boot, choose change advanced startup

-> Click on restart now in Advanced Startup

-> Troubleshooting

-> Changing the UEFI system settings

PC restarts you will get the menu HP/American Megatrends. IF YOUR USB is NOT WORKING connect to other ports, one of my USB3 ports illuminated my keyboard so that I can use it, just start it is so frustrating its beyond laughable at how awful this hardware has been programmed on the chipsets.
-> Change your POST delay for 5 seconds so that the next time you need to do something, you will have more de.02 seconds (don't mess this is 2 milliseconds I was talking about in my original post) to be able to do something.

YOU CAN NOW ENABLE VIRTUALIZATION! and join the 21st century like everyone else... HP needs help. Fire upwards as they obviously did not listen EVERYBODY for the last 5 years. DISMISS ALL!

  • Satellite P755 - Bios is not accessible, but Windows works

    Hi all

I have a big problem with my computer. My Bios does not appear...
At the exit of Windows 8, I did a full format on my computer to accommodate this new OS with beauty. Some time later, I installed Ubuntu 12.04 in Dual-Boot.
One of the two facilities are doing? lost me the BIOS, let me explain:

Knowing that my computer is a Toshiba, normally, when I start, the first image that appears on the screen is the Toshiba logo and down ' press F * to access the BIOS. " But I have no more of this logo, instead, I Dual-Boot option appears asking me to choose one of the two BONES (I think it's the GRUB, I'm not sure, but he was purple, so...). After selecting one of the two BONES, I go straight to the page load of the chosen one.

I didn't get worse, so I left it because it wasn't bothering me... until last night.
My computer was getting a bit slow, I decided to format it again, but as I said, I have no BIOS, so not boot via DVD at startup. I had to format by Windows, leaving behind the Windows.old folder on the hard disk. But I wanted to fix my famous problem at the same time, so I decided to uninstall Ubuntu and install Windows 7 instead of 8.

Everything was going well with uninstall and install.

Win7 is restarted, still no Toshiba logo, and I get the Dual-Boot option, as before, asking me to choose between Ubuntu and Win7 (I already uninstalled Ubuntu), but this time, the screen is not "purple", it is black...

When I'm on the Dual-Boot, there are only two buttons that work, the F8 and F10.

    When I press F10, I have this:

    Change startup options: Windows 7
    path-windows-system32-winload.exe
    Score: 2
    hard drive: 97f097f0

    / Noexecute = optin

When I press F8, I enter the menu of Windows repair, where there restore Windows, command prompt, repair Windows, etc...
I tried a few things, typed on the command line like fixmbr, etc, but nothing worked

I'm stuck on Windows 7 without Bios and a Dual - Boot does not work, I don't know what to do...
I've looked everywhere where my problem comes from, but does not have the awnser.

For more information, I have a Toshiba P755.

Well, I hope someone answer, even though I know that this problem is a bit weird...

Thanks in advance to all who will try ^^

I think that the dual boot is always available in the Master Boot Record (MBR) and so this double menu boot appears to turn on/off the device.
But this should not prevent the notebook to access the BIOS.
Usually, you can access the BIOS by pressing F2 while turning on the laptop.
I recommend that you press this several times in the line.

However, I think that the reason why the Toshiba screen projection does not appear is simple: in my view the QuickStart has been enabled in the BIOS.

You will find the option called startup speed in BIOS-> Advanced tab.
    Usually its normal value.

If his play on Fast, the BIOS should start from disk built-in HARD (or SSD), the laptop would support only the LCD and keyboard internal and does not display Toshiba Startup logo. Therefore, put again to normal.

In which case you would not be able to access the BIOS by pressing F2, I recommend to remove the portable computer HARD drive and turn on the unit without the HARD drive.
Then press F2 to enter the BIOS

Yes the gpu is soldered to the motherboard.

Well you can heat with in-house tools, it could restart the laptop, but that's just temp fix, fix it properly, you have to completely take off gpu and put in a new one, and to be done with reballing station which as I said is not good cheap.

If you want to go with reception difficulty theres many videos on youtube with the heating phase.

  • Install the Windows own 8.1 to want Phoenix 810-230qe?

I just bought a HP Envy Phoenix 810-230qe with Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.  It's my first HP system and so far I was impressed by the HP control process, fast delivery and the computer itself from what I can tell so far.   However, I have a question.  How must we do to do a clean install of Windows 8.1, without all the additional software that comes standard with the system?

With my previous Dell systems, I have always asked for a Windows DVD and I downloaded the necessary additional drivers from Dell.  I bought a set of HP System Recovery install discs are expected to be able to do a cleanup, but unless I'm missing something, I don't see any options for loading just the Windows operating system and the related system drivers.  I see there are a few available through HP suspport drivers, but not all that are necessary and I see still no way to do just installing the OS.

How is that possible?  Thank you...

    Hello

You have the Win 8.1 drivers on your PC now located in the folder in C:\SWSETUP.

Copy this folder to an external drive for use later when necessary.

I don't know if you can download the 8.1 Win. ISO from Microsoft with an OEM product key. You couldn't do that when downloading win 8. You need a detail or, I think, a upgrade product key.

If you have a retail key to win 8 you can Win 8.1 free download here.

I would like to delete the stuff you want via programs and features and then create acustom Refresh Image. Then, if you need to recover, use the IRC with no expansion of the seller. Create an image of Microsoft System or use third-party imaging software.

    Hello

Two possible problems could be the cause of the problem:

    1. the motherboard must have the correct product ID that corresponds to the ID of the product on the recovery disks. HP technical support should have included tattooing on the motherboard correctly during the installation of the new Council.

    2. the CTO options for the 810-150se do not include the new graphics card (Nvidia 780 TI I) drivers. Also, this would lead the recovery disks to fail.

One of the elements above will result in an error recovery of the plant.

Win 10 provides the correct graphics driver and active by using product key OEM Win 8.1 in the BIOS.

Here are the graphics card for the 810-150se options:

How difficult is it to remove a Windows 8 OS preinstalled on a new computer from h9 WANT Phoenix and replace it with Windows 7 Home Premium OS? Does anyone do this? If so, what kind of problems face?  In addition, you have all of the recommendations regarding this?  Where did you buy the Windows 7 program.  I am interested to do a clean install of Windows 7 Edition family on a HP ENVY Phoenix h9-1355 computer.

You must DISABLE 'Secure Boot' and ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in the BIOS, then save these changes. The next time you start, you enter the code provided to accept the previous changes. You must start the Windows7 as UEFI media to install Windows 7 on the GPT partitioned hard disk factory. You can buy a copy of Windows 7 with a valid key to install it.

Ah - you're not belaboring the point.  I just have to work smarter and harder.

The Phoneix h9-1387 envy uses the same type of editing HD and SDS. HP Partsurfer seems to have necessary parts for Mount of SDS.  Look here. http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=H3Y51AA the bad news is that there is no check box next to the part.  If you google 654540-001 or 002-654540 you will find the support. EBay seems to have the support. Contact the seller and see if all the "screws" are included. There should be eight; to mount the drive for support and 4 screws to allow the support of drag in the cage.

    Hello

You have problems with the laptop?
If not then why you want to do the BIOS? Just because the new BIOS is released?
I would not change anything if my laptop is running correctly.

However, the update of the BIOS requires the VAP (value added package).
So remember that this PPV is installed correctly. If this isn't the case, so far.

    Hello

One question; Why you want to read a blank CD? ?:|
As you say all the CD and DVD is recognized, but only the blank CD cannot be read.

Regarding the driversa? ... you're right, the update of the driver is not necessary and is not possible because the Windows operating system uses a clean Microsoft drivers to run the ODD.

But have you already checked these threads?

Which SSD drive you have exactly?
I also think it s a compatibility problem between the HARD disk controller (motherboard) and the current SSD drive.

So you should check if you have the latest firmware of the SSD drive and if it of possible, try another disc SSD of a friend, for example.

By the way: have you tried to load the default settings in the BIOS?

    Hello.

The disk which do not work on the laptop work fine on another pc / dvd players, if the disc is not defective. At first I thought that it would be a driver issue because some of the disc worked fine, so I never got the laptop back to the store I bought.

A message appears "D:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error".

I recently just got internet installed in my house and I went to the toshiba site to see if there are newer drivers that would solve this problem. I downloaded a bios update and an update of dvd ram and installed, but am still having the same problem.

    Hello

As you have probably not known the CD/DVD drive support not all backgrounds.
In the user manual, you will find a list of supported CD and DVD
