8500 again: using paper trays? You print envelopes?

We configure just the 8500 a Premium, with a lower tray added, but I'm confused.

If I want to print envelopes alone sometimes, can I load the lower tray with paper and just use the top for simple envelope power? There seems to be no way to do it. He tells me that the printer's paper and then won't take the envelope of either upper status bar.

How does the set upper/lower thing? Can I load both with paper and then have them printed automatically up to 500 sheets without reloading? He does not seem able to recognize the lower tray.

And how to print envelopes one at a time?

Hello Melissa

Since you have Windows 7 my post above should be helpful to ensure that the second test works, as well as for the assignment of types of specific paper for trays. Here's how you can find the screen above.

Devices and printers-> right click the 8500 a-> click on printer properties (if two options choose one that does not Fax)-> device settings

If you encounter problems, always with the recognized 2 tray or paper message. The following article covers the Out of Paper message and explains some possible causes. Make sure the paper type is set correctly in the pilot, when you go to print.

  • When you print envelopes Officejet Pro 8600

I replaced my set two Officejet 7410 due to age, with the top two Officejet Pro 8600. Default tray position #1 (above) works fine and prints the paper standard and photographic paper nicely. Lac #2 (bottom) may receive envelopes #10.

I use Win XP Pro service pack #3 and the suite MS Office (Word SP3) 2002. When I write a letter, it will be printed correctly in the default tray paper #1, Word allows you to go to the fall of the low 'TOOLS' to select "envelopes, their size, (#10), printing the job-oriented and if you want to add a postal bar code, and then you select the status bar (#2) and click on print.»

This is the problem, it is unable to select a #2 tray package, even after you ask him to take the envelope tray #2 (low) instead, it takes the default bin #1 a page and print the address on this subject information!

HP Tech support response was to "Exchange the trays' when printing envelopes! How lame is that? Over the years I owned the model 7410, I never been faced with this question...

Before buying the 8600, I asked him at dealerships and even supported HP, if the 8600 worked similarly to my 7410 loving... The consensus was Yes.

Which seems not to be true (at least for me). Please advise me how to solve this evolution very dissappointing. Thank you

Hello: Unfortunately this model does not support the envelopes from the T2, you can change your settings and load the envelopes in the Tray1 and the Plains media on tray 2,

  • HP business inkjet 1100dtn how choose the paper tray + stop printing calib random pages.

Hello. After I finally got my 9 year old HP business inkjet 1100dtn to start printing with 8 years, print heads who threw coward (printer output) for the past 2 years last night, progress post it here:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/Ink-toner-cartridge-printhead/HP-business-inkjet-1100dtn-first-wouldn-t...

Now I wonder how I can choose which paper tray to print from. Since I use Windows 7 and you must use the driver for hp business inkjet 1000, I guess that the problem here? Someone else you have a solution or better another driver which works better?

In addition, the printer keeps print calibration pages after each printing I do. The print quality is still not 100%, if only he keeps trying to calibrate because the calibrationpage it prints is of too poor quality?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ben of the Norway.

I tried the driver for the Microsoft 1200dtn instead of the 1000dtn that HP has suggested. Now everything works. Duplex, tray selection, etc. Good times. :-D

  • When you print envelopes on P1102w

Trying to figure out how to print an envelope using MSWord on a P1102w.  I get the flashing light of the attention and never print job cancel rather out them and makes it to the printer.  The manual does not even when you print envelopes.

Had the same problem using MS Word 2007/Vista. Click on the 'Options' button in the envelopes and labels print window, click on the 'Print Options' tab and under "Feed of" choose "Auto select" in the menu in the menu dropdown.

  • You print envelopes with HP LaserJet CP1525nw color

I tried to print envelopes on our printer above.  My document is in Word is formatted accordingly for a #10 business envelope

Under the terms of the HP help function, I found the info on how to set up my document print options, then it would print correctly.

The first envelope printed on the side of Rabat; I have reloaded in Tray 1 and was ready.

The second envelope printed with success so I thought that I understood.  So, I loaded the tray paper with 5 envelopes, hoping to print them massively.  I couldn't get it work when I tried to print 4 at a time.  I got a "Paper jam in tray 2" error and I was not yet using tray 2.  I erased the 'problem' and AN envelope printed with success, then I got the same error message.

I had 2 envelopes more printed this way, but every time I got the same error message, erasing the machine and 1 printed envelope.

Frustrated, I cancelled the multiple print job and tried to print envelopes one by one.  Now it does not at all even if I delete the phantom paper jam every time.

Can anyone help with this?  It makes me nutty.

Background info: my husband (network engineer) install the printer.  I have over 20 years of experience in processing and usually have good results with appearing on printing problems.  It left me speechless!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Dianne

The CP1525 allows you to print envelopes. There are two ferries, which can be used. I will describe using only the lower tray. Normally, this tray is used for standard paper.  To use the letter envelopes, you must remove the tray and then make some changes. Remove all paper. There are supporters of blue color paper. Two are used for the width of paper. Move the cursor to the Center so that it will load the envelope with the top to the left. Put the envelope with the printable side upward and the top to the left. Slide the blue paper holders so that they touch the top and bottom. Then push the envelope completely backwards and then move the holder unique blue paper in the front to make it against the envelope. You're ready to print as much as the printer.

I select the printer properties. I indicate that I am printing an envelope. I had also to indicate the landscape. I also had to move the appropriate print areas where I want to be. Then I added my address and the address to where they're going. I'm not sure that I have everything but it should work well.

I only did this, but you can use two trays with one who holds a number of pages and the other for a certain number of envelopes.

  • Photosmart C6380: You print envelopes

The printer will feed into an envelope, but before you start to print it stops with the message "loading the paper in the main tray. There is paper in the main tray and the envelope is not blocked because it feeds on when I turned off the printer off. It prints paper 8 x 10 ordinary well when I turn it back on, however as soon as I insert an envelope I get the loading paper
error. The machine to print the same thin envelopes up to today. I did several tests today and is continually doing the same thing. I tried to remove and reinsert the paper, but it made no difference. I took on the back and clean the rollers which did not help. By pushing the button continue does not help. I would be grateful for any suggestion

  • When you print envelopes LaserJet 401dne

I have a printer Laserjet 400 401dne replaced my old HP Laserjet 4 p.  Has been able to print envelopes without any problem of Windows XP pro with MS Word 2002.

Now I can't get the printer to print the envelope without spoiling.  With the settings default to the printer and using the envelope feature, I have selected "manual for Tray 1.  It did not work.  It tray print on a letter-size sheet 2.  Went to the printer, and the type and selected envelope paper size as envelope #10.  Was able to get out of the bin, however, the impression gets compensated because it is somehow the printer still thinks it gets a 8.5 x 11 sheet.  So when the envelope going by for printing, the return address is cut.

What I'm doing wrong here?  I've never had to change the settings of the printer for the type of front support.  I let the software handle this?  Don't see why they had to do printing envelopes so complicated.

  • HP OfficeJet 4650: When you print envelopes

I bought an OfficeJet a year but, despite a search for 'on-line' manual, I can't find any information about loading and printing envelopes.  If I just load the envelope in the tray (the size of the guides adjustment) the printer screen asks "have you you load paper regular A4 - if"NO"is pressed, it just says: 'document - type A4/paper - plain paper type."  This printer is unable to print envelopes?  If possible, someone would be nice enough to indicate where I can find "an Idiots Guide to...". "Envelope of loading and printing of"!

    Thank you very much

    Jayuu

    Hi @Jayuu,

If you followed the instructions when setting up the printer and then installed the software on your computer, you should be fine.

I don't know why this link doesn't open for you. Here's another link - loading paper, cards and envelopes. If this does not work, maybe try to open it in a different web browser.

You will need to select envelope as the paper type, once the envelopes are loaded. If you tap where it shows the type of paper, like 'Letter' for example, you will finally get a long list of types of paper. You can scroll the list by dragging vertically on the screen of the printer with the finger. The different types of envelope are a way just to the bottom of the list. When you see the type of envelope you want in the list, tap on it to select it.

Once you have the desired selected envelope, you should be able to print. Here is a support document which can serve as a reference if necessary - envelopes printing (Windows).

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • Want 4502: When you print envelopes strange

    Advice appreciated.

I have, in the course of the years, belonging to a number of printers, HP and otherwise. I never recall having to remove the paper, reset the paper guides and place one envelope in the center of the tray to print an envelope to go with the letter I just printed.

Is the printer works correctly because it does not appear a strange configuration?

For as far as I remember every other printer, always bought the bottom end of the range of price as the 4502 want now, I, accepted an envelope placed on top of the stack of paper in the tray on the left side and was happy to print it from there. This, I am sure, includes a HP printer, I had before.

If I had realised that this required printer so useless effort, OK so not that but a pain however, I would have bought something else.

Thanks anyway for the sad news.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z you print envelopes - no!

I am trying to print envelopes, I get the error message "out of paper". Have tried cleaning the rollers but no change. He has worked in the past, although some at the time. Paper size (A4) loads normally.

    Suggestions?

Where you want to print envelopes, as in what program? Selected by the software through the program, and printing as you work through them size/type of envelope that you print on? The program and the printer should be set (both from the screenshot) to send/receive this kind of request.

Let me know and I'll see what I can do to help out you!

    Have a great day!

  • HP pro 8500 wireless 2nd paper tray / windows 7

I just replaced my Win XP system with a system of Win 7.  I installed the software wireless OfficeJet Pro 8500 on the HP site.  On the XP system, I could choose the feeder (1 or 2) of the printer preferences.  On the Win 7 system I see more this option in the printer preferences.  How should I do?

    Hello
Make sure that the tray 2 is defined as installed:

Enter the control panel > devices and printers.
Right-click the printer icon, and then click printer properties.
    Click the device settings tab.
Set the Second tray installed , and then click OK to save the change.

Now the 2nd tray should appear as expected.

    Kind regards

  • Two sides of a sheet of printing paper when you print a document with the Officejet K80?

When my OS is Windows XP my Machine K80 sides of the paper, the printer would automatically print other sides of pages in a document, and then instruct me to remove, round tower and then reinsert the document, press OK and the other sides of the pages would be printed.   With the disappearance of XP and I have to change my OS Windows 7 seems to have lost this facility?   The problem may have been caused by the need to set up another printer with Windows 7 driver?

I'm sorry.  Unfortunately, given the age of the printer, a downloadable Win7 driver never appeared, leaving the driver in Win7 as the only option.
