It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.
Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created if necessary.

How to get Firefox to check the compatibility of the add-on first, then ask me if I want to continue the update of Firefox? The update process currently only told me that an add-on has been disable after you apply the update to Firefox. Options > Advanced Options > switch to the update tab, "Warn me if this turns off one of my modules," doesn't seem to work.

This is an add-on that does this.
https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/is-it-compatible/More specifically, what modules are always appear as incompatible after a Firefox updated? Firefox 10, extensions that are made properly shouldn't be a problem, with a few exceptions.
Extension that contains a binary code must be compiled for each new version of Firefox. These modules are usually installed by applications on security Norton, McAfee, ZoneAlarm, etc..

Constantly check addon compatibility on new install v32
Since I updated to the latest FF v32 it always checks the compatibility of the addons whenever I start it. It was really boring, so I went back to a previous version and everything worked well, all the addons worked and there was no question but this new version has done nothing but give me a headache. Is this a bug in the new update system or what? Do a fresh install with it, with a new directory and I tried with same. Remove the old prefetch (if any), the windows cache, restarted, but the same problem.

Firefox opens two tabs, hooray you updated firefox and my homepage. Before that firefox loads it checks my addons to see if they are compatible with the new update. This happens whenever I start firefox.
Hi keimanzero, in response to the suggestions of cor - el in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/967218#answer-480480 you said you can't run Firefox.
You don't need to run Firefox to open the folder of your profile (settings file) and rename or delete these files.
To access this folder, paste this into the start menu search box and press ENTER:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
This should start the folder in a new window. So if you see multiple profile folders, click on in the most recent. Here, you find the prefs.js and user.js files noted by cor - el. A little luck?

Whenever I start Firefox 6.0 run addon compatibility check.
Try:
You can also try to delete files (extensions.ini, extensions.cache, extensions.sqlite, extensions.rdf) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created if necessary.
See "extension corrupted files:If you see people with disabilities, is not compatible extensions in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar (or click on the"Find updates"button in older versions of Firefox) to do a compatibility check or see if there is an update.

Ugh... firefox was wanting to install 17.01 or 17.04, can't remember what number she bothers me and bother me until I said okay, I'll update my version. so I let him, you need to restart my computer, so he said just a minute firefox checks your addons for comparison, or whether the 'f' he says, then turns on a box and a horizontal line scrolling back and forth as his work and the bottom says, this may take a few minutes. Well, I wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and... nothing. I can't cancel, I can't x out of the box... I let it for more and time and it does nothing... so I have to use internet ex. I have redownloaded firefox from there to try it from scratch and same thing, if I cancel the box immediately stops then nothing I can rehit the firefox button and it will load firefox. but never fear... another box comes up later and says you need the latest version of firefox... man if the system on your end doesn't, can't you guys see this? I am disappointed that you have exhausted there is too long too. and ads and the slow and privacy is becoming more of a question

Why Firefox guard open a new window a lot when you click on a tab to open it.
Firefox guard open a new window every time when I click on a tab to open it. Happens quite a few times per day now and it's annoying.
Versions of Firefox 3.5 and later have a feature called tabs.
You can detach a tab in the current window and open in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.
You can drag the tab to the tab bar in the original window to cancel this detachment.bug489729 (Disable detach and tear off tab):
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

Firefox guard loading old tabs when you restart
Firefox guard loading old tab when closed and a new Firefox has been started. (My startup home page is set to "restore default". I even updated sessionstore 0 throughout; config) always the same question
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file possible sessionstore-# .js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

I use Ubuntu 14.
These last days (say, a week) I get messages saying that the Flash is obsolete, and firefox blocks the plugin, so I have to unlock ('allow') every time that I get to a new page. It's no big deal, but it's boring and, for example, I can't watch movies on my page of favorite movie...
In the firefox Plugin Check page, I get a message 'to day', but it shows the version 11.2.202.418, which is also the version of Ubuntu Software Center and current version is 11.2.202.425. I tried this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keep-flash-up-to-date-and-troubleshoot-problems#w_updating-flash for a manual installation instructions, but cannot get to the place where firefox is installed.I already moved chrome Firefox because of repeated malfuntioning of chrome, I have nowhere to go! (pity me).
Thanks to you all! And sorry for the spelling mistakes / syntactic possibilities, English is not my first language.
I think Unbuntu would have an update now that 11.2.202.425 has been out of Adobe since December 9 as 11.2.202.424 and is more vulnerable.
Find the .mozilla folder at / and create a folder called plugins , so you can place the libflashplayer.so file here.
Now, all installations of Firefox and SeaMonkey will be able to use it.
Flash 11.2.202.425 tarball is to

Whenever I open Firefox, update checking window first opens, then I get 2 tabs open. One is my home page, the other is the page that opens after you have installed a new version of Firefox. How can I get the Firefox update page to stop opening? I had the same thing happen with the add-on "Download Helper". The only way I could get him to stop was to disable it. I am running windows 7 and 9 of Firefox.
Please, try to create a new profile and check if the problem persists.

You are updated, all you have to do is to define a different page than the home page, see cor-el answer here for more information.
