• Improper installation of the e-Learning assets

  Hi all

  I downloaded and installed the active eLearning for 8 Captivate.  He moved to/Users/Shared/Adobe/eLearning active / Characters_8_0 /.

  I have problems with all the non-thumbnail directories.  In every high and low file (high-resolution and low-resolution), only the first two images are usable.  When you try to use another image, I get a message that the file is damaged or not supported.  I actually plan on the use of these assets.  Does anyone have any idea on this?

• Help! -Live Web Cam Chat in an E-Learning Session of Captivate

  I really hope that someone can help me with this one.  I do an e-learning session in Adobe Captivate, which must contain a live cam on the web chat.  I was thinking about creating a flash video to record the live web cam chat, but have no idea how do.  Unfortunately it is a skill that I have not had the opportunity to learn and have never had to do this before.  Its very new and advanced for me!

  Very well. Gotcha!

  To start, you will not want to Captivate allows to capture Web Chat. I recently tried some full motion using Captivate 4 and it is rarely going to give you anything remotely close to what you want. So, you will need investigating another software to capture Web Cam stuff.

  May investigate another Adobe called Visual Communicatorproduct.

  Once you get something that is capable of capturing the webcam, it should spit back a file in format FLV or SWF output. You would then drop the FLV into Captivate. (Or present it in a frame on a web page).

• Location of the downloaded e-Learning assets

  I'm trying to find the eLearning downloaded active files. I use Windows 10. I have a folder called Adobe eLearning active, but he has a record of projects in the sample and does not contain what I downloaded. I searched all over my computer, but have not found a "Examples of projects" folder everywhere associated with Adobe or Captivate. I can download assets, but it does not show the path so I don't know where they're going.

  Explorer Windows hid! Finally, what has worked, it was that I downloaded a file and it took a screenshot with the name of the file as it was for download. Then, I tried the system for this exact file name. So only the correct files appear. I guess Microsoft thought that I wouldn't need to see these records.

• 9 use of the bandwidth of Captivate

  Anyone know an easy way to track the use of bandwidth for Captivate courses, or is there a line course Director for how much bandwidth use? We are in an environment in which some areas have very limited bandwidth and cannot play our course, even without audio or video included.

  I am not interested in tips to reduce the size of classes, just some numbers bandwidth usage I can give network administrators. Thank you!

  Have you tried to download on SCORM cloud?

  I think they have performance statistics generated after the course has been viewed which could provide the base you are looking for.

  You should also consider the LMS you use will also have an impact on performance for your users.

  A user at each location could run a 'speed test' to check the upload and download bandwidth they know. This could also be useful to your network administrators to have a conversation with your service provider.

  I have the current folder to e-Learning on my computer but when I try to add a character Captivate prompts me to re-download the characters.  Where the current folder of e-Learning should live on my computer?  Right now it's the path...

  I'm doing something that I think should be simple, but is not, which means probably missing me something obvious.

  I have an Excel table with 3 columns - ID, name, address E-mail, with 4000 entries.

  I would like to do something in 8 Captivate that allows someone to type in their ID card, which is a 6-digit number, and who uses to assign a variable user their name and their email address, then the rest of the course can be remedied by name, etc.

• Using text input/output of Captivate Exhange

  I have used Captivate for the basics, but I'm looking to do more. I downloaded the Text Input/Output of Captivate Exchange files, but I can't find any instructions on how to apply. The idea is that you would be able to "capture an entry on a slide and post it on blades later.» The zipped download contains four files:

  I trouble access assets, i.e. of the eLearning brothers.  I get 3 tabs, my property, download Adobe active Stock and Get Free active eLearning.  The last tab, when you click on provides any information.  Help!  I'm looking for models of game.

  When you installed the patch for version 9.0.2 did you clean the preferences and delete the folder documents\Adobe\eLearning active Public Layouts?

• Is the shared use of the assets of possible HTML-Articles?

  We have a lot of HTML-similar items. Is it possible to use things like images, fonts, javascript and css together files? Our motivation is to have lean HTML-articles.

  Shared resources are supported through migrated content and through our content download API. It is not a way to give them via the dashboard content UI for the moment, unfortunately.

• Masteryscore is not defined when using Multi-SCORM Packager in Captivate 5.0

  I created three SCOs and published in the form of zip files. Two SCOs have quizzes and complete/incomplete report. The third SCO is my quiz. When I publish the three separately SCOs manifest for the quiz is configured correctly.

  When I combine the three SCO all three have scores of mastery that look like this.

  This disrupts the LMS that is understandable.

  I know someone will suggest that I have change the XML file and fix the problem manually. I did it and it seems to have solved the problem. However, what happens when I left and someone else changes a sentence in the course, to republish the course and the break a woring class.

  Has anyone else seen elsewhere? Any suggestions on fixing this in Captivate. I'm new to the Multi-SCORM Packager, but not there seems to be a lot of control over it, but I could be missing something.

  Ignore this message. It must have been an artifact in my data. I went through the whole process again this morning and the masteryscore has been successfully added to the MULTI-SCORM package.

  I've produced an e-Learning in Adobe Captivate 7, which consist of a vertical menu and a horizontal menu. The vertical menu on the left of the screen is the table of contents for e-Learning. It consists of all the themes of the small horizontal learning e - Learning.The is located on the upper side of the screen. This menu contains menu options such as 'legal' and 'warning '. They are textlinks / hypertext links. How can I join, it will open a pop-up window on the e-Learning after clicking on menu "imprint" or "warning? The pop-up windows should have the same design as the e-Learning for himself.

  That would be my approach:

  • Create all objects in the pop-up window on the first slide, group them (Gr_Popup) and their time for the rest of the project, Place objects on verified top. Be sure to include the X button, which should be a button of form because a normal button cannot be programmed for the rest of the project. A form is also a text container, it may not be a problem.
  • Create a tip action "Mount" that you can run on enter for each slide to hide Gr_Popup, tip even action can be used for the X button. You could create an action as well, with one group setting. Depending on the setting of the slide, perhaps, it may be necessary to add the Continue statement for this action if used on enter. Don't need her for the action of the X key.

  Using Captivate 8, I'm trying to fix a question slide to a slide content, then back to the issue of KC to check for retry and then continue from there.  On my trial, it works very well.  However, the problems began on the second instance and continue on each instance, subsequently. Settings on the issue of KC slides are all the same except that drag each jumps for sanitation.  I don't understand why it works the first time, but does not work after that. On the second instance, the issue returns to the content slide, but then passes any subsequent slide.   Someone at - he had a similar experience?  Know of a workaround or solution could I hurt?

  Erik, sanitation is integrated since version 6. The next button can have a double feature: coming from a normal slide acts as then, when they come from a question slide she come back on this question with the mentioned order slide.  It's been a while since I tested this out, but it worked. I don't know what's not in your project.

  I'm new to Captivate (this is only my third Captivate project) and have created a 9 Captivate presentation which was originally intended to be navigated manually during a discussion.  They loved the presentation so they want to make a video that will automatically play.  The problem that I am running is that the interaction of training widgets I've included work wonderfully in .exe (where they are manually sailed) but does not display the ancillary content when I publish the project in mp4 format.  (the final product must be in mp4 format)

  I don't know miss me some simple editing or sync settings.

  (Please don't tell me that it is impossible that I need to )

  You don't always tell on what "interactions of training" you're talking about? If these are interactions like accordion, tabs, pyramid... you might consider these slides to record while you interact with them, using the video feature of Captivate demo. Such a cpvc-slide can be inserted into a cptx project.
