A connection to the host could not be established

I am running windows xp on an ubuntu host and it was working fine until I tried to start my desktop shortcut xp today.  I get the error message "a connection to the host could not be established."  I don't think I changed anything since the last time it worked correctly.

Also, I can't access web page.  Firefox "unable to establish a connection."

Someone has an idea?

Hello

See vmware running services. No doubt vmware - pass does not work.

Try to start /etc/init.d/vmware-mgmt

    Hi Eva,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community. According to your description, it seems that you couldn't configure Gmail on Outlook and you receive error 0x800CCC0F. If I'm not mistaken you have Microsoft Outlook 2003 is installed.

This happens usually when there are questions about the server. If you have not been able to set up the account successfully, I suggest you read this article that shows how to set up email on Outlook accounts.

If you have configured the account successfully, but I could not send or receive e-mails, you go through this article which has troubleshooting for this issue.

If this is not enough, you can replicate with the result, then we can help you solve more.

    Thank you!

  • Impossible to connect to the server (could not find library Shell of spring)

    Hi all

When I run: sqlf > connect the client 'mysqlf:1527'; I get the following error:

A failed after trying all available servers: [] for control URL: UbuSQLFire01 [1527]. (connection refused)

A failed after trying all available servers: [UbuSQLFire01 [1527]], to the control host [port]: UbuSQLFire01 [1527]. (connection refused)

I have done the following tasks:

    (1) I start the positioner with this line:

    Locator sqlf start - dir = index-counterpart-discovery-address = mysqlf-counterpart-discovery-port = 41111 - client-bind-address = mysqlf-client-port = 1527 - J - Dsqlfire.properties =... Locator.Properties

    Locator.Properties has the following sentences:

    License serial number = XXXX-XXXX

    Log-level = config

    statistics-sampling-enabled = true

    statistical sampling frequency = 1000

    (2) I start the server with this line:

    start the server sqlf - dir = server1-client-bind-address = mysqlf-client-port = 1528 - J - Dsqlfire.properties =... Server.Properties

Server.Properties has the same meaning as locator.propertis more:

    Locators = mysqlf [41111]

    MCAST-port = 0

and seams to be ok because I get:

SQLFire Server pid: 1855 status: running

Distributed system now has 2 members.

    Other members: UbuSQLFire01(1780:locator):63656

But in server.log, I found this:

Service order could not be initialized. Library order of spring which is necessary for CLI/gfsh in the classpath that is not found. Internal support for CLI & gfsh is not enabled.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much

    Damian

    Hi Damian:

There could be a configuration problem with your machine's network setting. I see that when you start locator, the address of liaison is mysqlf. However, when you start the server, the message indicates that the host name is UbuSQLFire01. You can use the IP address as the link address, instead of the host name. And see if it works.

Moreover, the message about spring Libray Shell is not the cause of your problem.

Sorry I put my question in the wrong place.  I use Windows XP.  My Palm is a Z22.  I restarted my computer, if that's what you mean by a soft reset.  I have no answers-don't know my hot Sync Manager.

A soft reset is performed on your computer Z22.  Look for the small "Reset" button on the back of the unit and press it with the tip of your pen or a paperclip.

Reset draw your Palm.  Try to HotSync again.

HotSync Manager is what your computer to connect to the computer Z22.  Do you see the HotSync icon in the lower tool bar?  If this isn't the case, you can not connect.  Go here:

Start Manager button / all programs/Palm/HotSync.  This selection must load the HotSync Manager.

I would help you with HotSync Manager, but you neglected to answer my question on "What version of Palm Desktop?"

There are few reasons for this. Please try the steps below.

#) Features in host ESX adds the host file on the machine where you have access to this.

    OR

#) Add the DNS entries respective of the ESX host on the DNS server.

  • Setting up a test server. Getting the error "Could not connect to MySQL". Help!

First of all, I am a rookie at this, so please excuse me for leaving out some details.  In any case, I followed David Powers "establishing an environment of PHP for Dreamweaver development" set up my test server.  I tested the timetest.php file and everything works great.  I saved my website in its entirety and extracted its contents in my folder xampp/htdocs/php_test/CIM.  'CIM' is a file that I created to hold the content of my entire site.  I get an error message when I try to access my index.php file.  When I click on 'Live View', I get 'database error: unable to connect to the database: could not connect to MySQL'.»»  My index., is a php file in xampp/htdocs/php_test/CIM/public_html/store.  I too, started with Apache and MySql running XAMPP.  What I am doing wrong?

If your timetest.php is like this:

This page was created at on the computer running PHP.

So which proves that you have PHP work.  I want to talk in DW when you try to establish a database connection.  Based on your error page there is no connection to the database.  The screen I'm talking about is:

  • Manually migrate virtual machines from the host is not responding.

I have a 3 host cluster.  One of the guests became unresponsive.  Continue to run all the virtual machines connected to the host is not responding and I can't RDP for them.  I am able to SSH to the host does not respond, but not connect via vCenter.

Restart the services will cancel the virtual machines running?  If this isn't the case, then what is the command to restart the services?

What is the best plan to manually migrate those virtual machines for the other two hosts?

SSH, cd to \usr\sbin, then run "services.sh restart" (without the quotes). Which will restart management services, with no impact to your VM. Then you should be able to re - connect with Vcenter.

I checked the checked the file /etc/resolv.conf Bed & Breakfast.

I am able to ssh on the server as well as the use of WinSCP without any problem.

I can connect with the VI Client also without problem.

    Any ideas?

    The problem has been resolved.

    The fix:

    =====

    # vimsh-e - n/hostsvc/hostsummary | grep inMaintenanceMode

    Using the libcrypto, version 90809F

    inMaintenanceMode = false,

    # vim-cmd/hostsvc/hostsummary | grep inMaintenanceMode

    inMaintenanceMode = false,

Rationality for the problem is these commands (vim - FCM or vimsh) were unable to communicate due to lack of xinetd process.

  • Photosmart 6510 "the printer could not connect to the server.

    Hi all.

Just try to find this sorted hope someone can help.

I am able to print irelessly of all our devices with no problems at all.

However, when I click on the control panel applications he repeats me "the printer could not connect to the verification of the server of the internet connection and try again or enter a proxy address.

I use an Imac with airport wifi router.

Doing a search in the forums and on the manuals troble shooting pages, nothing seems to work.

    Thanks in advance.

Let's define an external static IP and DNS address for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). Yours is 10.0.1.2 a.200.  We use 10.0.1.220 for your printer.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
