• How to call the script shell of the Hyperion Workspace

  Hi all

  I have to call a shell script of the Hyperion workspace. After searching on Google, I came to know that its possible using generic employment applications.

  So I created a generic job application in the workspace to help below in detail.

  Job name: set_run_shell

  Server: Name of the Server workspace

  Order tempate: $PROGRAM $PARAMS

  executable: Cygwin executable path (like hyperion installed in windows server 2008, I had to install Cygwin to make the unix-like environment)

  Just write simple shellscript that the ECHO command displays "Hello World."

  Imported this shell script and above assigned jobs for it but no luck, when I run this job I never see output or less error. It showing the message running for a long time until get session expires.

  Can someone help me to run a shell script.

  The executable file must be %WINDIR%\System32\cmd.exe cmd.exe

  You will also need to create a batch file that comes from this sh.exe and imports that work. Try and let me know.

• Unable to download SmartView.exe (11.1.2.2.500) of Hyperion workspace

  Dear experts Hyperion:

  I wasn't able to download SmartView.exe of Hyperion, workspace-> 'Tools'-> 'Install' more after I've upgraded to the smartview 11.1.2.2.500 version. I followed the upgrade document and put the new version of smartview.exe in the next Hyperion Server directory

  \Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\epmstatic\wspace\SmartView

  and restart the services. When I connect to, click on the 'Tools'-> 'Install' workspace and get the error says "unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application. I have no problem with the old version of smartview.exe, who had no problem to download on the workspace.

  I use the Hyperion Version - 11.1.1.3 system installed in Windows 2003 (32 bit). I restarted the server for some reason any. But I am not able to start the service officer of Hyperion Workspace.
  
  Description of Service - HyS9Core1 provides a service infrastructure to run services locally
  Path - F:\Hyperion\common\workspacert\9.5.0.0\bin\wksagent.exe
  
  When I checked the workspace log file, it says: "Oracle DB is locked." But team DBA confirmed me that the DB is not locked. Please could you help me solve this problem.

  I reconfigured the database to the workspace through Configurator EPA and solved the problems.

• Increase the no. Favorites in the Hyperion workspace

  Hyperion workspace has a nice feature to keep the reports as Favorites or the recently used applications.
  
  However, it seems maximum 10 Favorites can be saved and how we can increase the maximum?

  I'm sure that there is a favorite of Max in the Servlet to workspace Configurator, if it is definable it would probably be in there.

• Disable installation Hyperion Workspace SmartView

  In the menu of Hyperion workspace of manu, there is an option under 'Tools/Install' to install SmartView. Can we disable this menu option so that users will not accidentally install the software?

  2 ways.

  (1) you can actually remove Smartview.exe in the workspace server (this is a hyperlink to a location on the server of the workspace)
  (2) you can only break the link in the .xml file (I think it's web.xml file). This xml file is the link between the real smartview.exe file to the location on the server.

  I have it. We had a customMessages folder that has been crushing the default set of export options. Fixed it and it worked.

  I have a new commitment and as a first time, that I'm dealing with this task, I'd appreciate it if someone could give me some suggestions.

  My client is installed in a new environment OBIEE 11.1.1.6.11.

  In the previous environment there was using OBIEE 11.1.1.6.4.

  My task to move all the previous environment to the new reports, so I have to migrate the repository, answers and dashboards... of obiee 11.1.1.6.4 to 11.1.1.6.11

  As far as I know for the migration of the answers, dashboards, guests... I can use the function 'Archive' and the UN-archive "." However, my doubts consider the part of the repository. I guess that there is no need to create from scratch the physical layer, the companies and the presentation, but there should be a procedure of migration/upgrade of the repository...

  Please suggest some docs or advice.

  Hi Sam,

  .Rpd de.6.4 a.6.11 passage should not all special high-gradation. I didn't personally do it, but I think that once you open 6.4 .rpd with 6.11 admin tool, you may be asked if he can save it with the latest version while closing.

  Im working in obiee 11.1.1.5.0.I created a new user and tried to view a dashboard I created the user weblogic. But it dispalyed the following error.

  ODBC driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW).
  State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error occurred. [nQSError: 43113] The message returned by OBIS. [nQSError: 27005] Unresolved column: 'PEO_DIM '. "" ENTERPRISE_DESCRIPTION ". Please ask your system administrator check the newspaper for more details on this error. (HY000)
  
  In my understanding, when a new user is created, even if it is not assigned to any role he has rights to see all dashboards. So, what will be the reason for this error? Can someone provide me with a solution?

  That's because of restrictions on access in the RPD, able to see all the dbs user suppose to have access to the user privileges for materials.

  My customer's requirement is to see all data in the guest dashboard like it should be another element of its 'ALL' that returns all of the data.
  
  Example:
  There is a filter to dashboard on CustomerType (as: GOLD, SILVER), our customers want to see the data on the filter (like: ALL, GOLD, SILVER) ALL will filter the boat GOLD and SILVER.

  Go to your prompt and change need you option is the choice. You can check all option and save the prompt.

  Then you can see all of the data according to your guest column.

  I don't get all the answers. Can anyone help on this?
  
  I faced problem in Customizing the Logon Page and the replacement of the Board picture to logon in the workspace of Hyperion 11.1.2.1. I tried several times.
  
  Firstly by replacing the Image of the logon panel. I gave the rest of the measures in the Administrator's guide for the EPM workspace on page 25 and they are as follows
  
  To replace the image that is displayed on the login Panel:
  1 create an image file named logon_panel.gif whose dimensions correspond to the previous image.
  2. rename the installed version of logon_panel.gif in logon_panel.gif.original in
  % EPM_ORACLE_HOME % / common/epmstatic/bpmui/themes / < do for each
  Theme > / images_global. Move the logon_panel.gif file that you created in step 1 to this
  Directory.
  3. clear your browser cache.
  Note: You need not restart the Hyperion Foundation - Manager of Server Services.
  
  But still I get the same default image on the page, sign in.
  
  The other problem I'm facing is to customize the Logon Page.
  
  I'm following the steps in the guide of the administrator of the workspace EMP on page 17 and they are as follows:
  To customize the logon page:
  1 follow the instructions in how to extract a file in the Web Application workspace.
  Backup file 2 < temp directory > / war/WEB-INF/lib/bpmui.jar.
  3 extract the content of the /war/WEB-INF/lib/bpmui.jar < temp directory > to < temp
  Directory > / bpmui_jar /... (*)
  4 < temp directory > backup file / bpmui_jar/WEB-INF/classes/com/hyperion/bpm.
  Resources_en. Properties.
  5 edit the file < temp directory > / bpmui_jar/WEB-INF/classes/com/hyperion/bpm.
  Resources_en. Properties.
  6 locate the bpm.logonCopyright property.
  Customization of the Page to log 17
  7 change the text to the right of the equal sign. \N to get a new line.
  8. save your changes.
  9. repeat the step 1 step 8 for all other Resources_xx.properties files to others
  regional settings.
  10 jar the content of < temp folder > /bpmui_jar/ < temp directory >/war/WEBINF /.
  lib/bpmui.jar.
  11 continue with the subject, reorganize a file inside the workspace Web Application.
  
  For step 1 I'm such following that mentioned in the Administrator's guide which is as follows:
  
  Check out a file in the Web Application workspace
  a to extract files to Web Application workspace:
  1 stop for Hyperion Foundation Services - managed server service.
  2 save file < EPM_ORACLE_HOME > / Products/Foundation/workspace /.
  InstallableApps/workspace.ear.
  Tasks and tools of Directors 16
  3 using the unarchiving utility, extract the content of the < EPM_ORACLE_HOME > /products/
  Foundation/workspace/InstallableApps/workspace.ear in a < temp
  Directory >.
  4 create < temp directory > / war.
  5 extract the content of workspace.war < temp directory > in < temp directory >.
  war.
  6 update the file you're patching under < temp directory > / war. also live inside.
  But I'm not able to find the bpmui.jar file in step 3 of the above (*). I scored for your complicity.
  
  I am able to see the file in this directory
  DynamicHelp.jar
  Workspace.jar.
  
  Can someone provide help on this. I use the platform is LINUX
