• A dashboard obiee exposes a hyperion workspace

  Hi all
  
  I have no experience with hyperion workspaces, does anyone know how (or if) a dashboard obiee may expose to a hyperion workspace?
  In other words, having obiee provide a link to a workspace, or, better yet, have links to documents of hyperion in a dashboard obiee.
  I've seen articles the other way around, where obiee can be integrated in the hyperion workspaces, but what I'm looking for.

  From now on, he does support the essbase integration and use the cubes directly in BI.
  If you mean the hyperion workspace which is oriented application it doesn't support, hopefully next version 11 g plans for her sound in the road map. Need to see how it goes.

  I have problem in export of my reports. I need my report to export to PDF or EXCEL format. My report contains more than 1,200 lines. But when I export the report in PDF format, it contains only 500 lines, for the rest of the lines, I have to scroll down and again I need to export to obtain the content of 501 to 1000.
  
  Is it possible to change any property, can I export entire lines of 1200 + EXCEL or PDF? Pls someone shed light on this question.

  Im working in obiee 11.1.1.5.0.I created a new user and tried to view a dashboard I created the user weblogic. But it dispalyed the following error.

  ODBC driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW).
  State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error occurred. [nQSError: 43113] The message returned by OBIS. [nQSError: 27005] Unresolved column: 'PEO_DIM '. "" ENTERPRISE_DESCRIPTION ". Please ask your system administrator check the newspaper for more details on this error. (HY000)
  
  In my understanding, when a new user is created, even if it is not assigned to any role he has rights to see all dashboards. So, what will be the reason for this error? Can someone provide me with a solution?

  That's because of restrictions on access in the RPD, able to see all the dbs user suppose to have access to the user privileges for materials.

  Hi Barry,.

  Place the RPD in the nqsconfig file which will be OracleBI/Server/repository you will have section RPD. Put you're file RPD.

  Then navigate to the instance configuration file (oracleBIdata/web/config/instance config) and give a meaningful name in the path of the catalog and start you services to help run services.msc

  Start of Oracle BI server, java host and serve as a presentation of the Oracle.

  you see you're the link obiee presentation services.

  I worked through a few tutorials on Oracle BI Publisher, answers and dashboards and I would like to start working with my own data. There is no problem with the editor, where I established a JDBC connection to my Oracle database. However, I'm fighting to do the same thing for responses of BI.
  
  I would like to create dashboards with data from my database and may not know how to do this. In the tutorial, they use the ODBC connection to the regime 'SH '. But it is a specific connection of Microsoft, and since I will migrate to a linux environment soon, I need a way open to access the data.
  How to connect a data source, so that I can work in the web environment as in the tutorials 'sh' regime.

  Open a new or existing repository Administration Oracle BI tool.
  Then click file > import > database.
  Select OIC as the connection Type and enter the TNS name, username and password and press OK.
  You can then select the tables to be imported.

  You must add the following parameters to your URL:

  • & Action = browse
  • &col1=%22Folder%20name%22.%22Service%20Code%22
  • &val1=%22@{MyServiceCode}%22

  I assumed the name of column of your presentation is "Folder Name". "" Service code ". You replace it with the right one in the value of the parameter col1.

  This works well if you select more than one value in the prompt, otherwise, you must write javascript code to replace commas in the value of MyServiceCode with '% 22 + % 22'.

  I have it. We had a customMessages folder that has been crushing the default set of export options. Fixed it and it worked.

• migrate custom dashboards

  After three failures trying to migrate our installation vCOps 5.8.4 6.0.1 I decided to start from scratch with 6.0.1.

  Everything works well now in the 6.0.1 installation costs - but without any of my beautiful homegrown dashboards.

  Y at - it no change to import my dashboards customized since the old 5.8.4 instance to 6.0.1?

  I know that eventually they will not work out of the box because internal IDs etc. have changed. But just to have as a framework and turn the objects and settings inside would help a lot.

  If anyone sees a chance, or do I have to recreate everything manually? :-/

  We have 2 servers of OBIEE Server a (v11.1.1.6.x) and Server B (v11.1.1.7.x)

  All developments to date had been made on a server and on the Bill of lading, we want to pass to the server B.

  Please let me know the process for the same thing.

  As far as my knowledge goes RPD A server version is 318 and the server B 325. Then, how to place the RPD to use it with Server B?

  Thanks for the suggestions...

  Please find below the suggestion that helped me and that I was looking for...

  Take your SPR of A of machine and tool of administration on computer B and open your RPD. Once opened, save it to the desktop on your computer. Now you'll V325 RPD. Deploy this RPD to Server B.

  For the catalog, simply move your catalog to the Machine B and restart all services...

  Once that is done, go in the Administration tab in the presentation services and do analyse and update catalog objects... Which will improve your reports to 11.1.1.7.

  I copied the catalog and the repository from A to B and I loaded the using EM. Then I refreshed the GUID by editing the files instanceconfig.xml and NQSConfig.INI as shown in the following URL
